All good
Quite expensive
Beautiful gardens, lovely rooms, light and spacious
Very friendly staff
Beautiful room
Excellent location
Nothing
Breakfast was great.rooms very good.
Could do with walk in showers .And some air conditioning.
Large room with lovely outside patio area
I couldn’t use the wardrobe because it contained a bed, ironing board, bedding therefore very limited hanging space. Is it a store cupboard or is it a wardrobe? The patio was very pleasant, however it was very dirty such a shame.
The serving staff were all friendly and helpful. The room clean and comfortable. Breakfasts very good.
Water pressure in the room was very poor. Junior suite advertised as having a view, our view was the car park and a pile of building materials. The hotel was very quiet, we should have been given a different room with better plumbing. Email from the hotel offered free glass of house wine with the evening meal. This offer did not make it to the check-out and we then had to provide evidence to the manager to receive the offer. No bill given in the restaurant but tipped the waitress on the night, only later to discover service charge had also been added to the final bill.
It is in a very beautiful location by the River Dove yet close to Burton - on - Trent

excellent breakfast good staff
In a great location and the hotel had an “old world@ charm to it.
Hard to fault, the hotel has been taken over recently and the new owner has improvements going on. We will happily come back next year to see the improvements. Only down side is, my wife has some food allergies that the kitchen staff couldn’t cater for as I did not give them enough time to cater for her.
Lovely dinner and breakfast. Dogs are welcomed. Nice bar to have pre dinner drinks. Space to sit outside. Quiet, scenic location.
The conservatory gets super hot, lovely in winter though .
Lovely location, good price and great food.
Nothing.
Great building in lovely grounds , staff were super helpful and friendly and rooms were a good size
Hotel is in the middle of no where and a walk of 20 mins to the nearest pub / restaurant. Breakfast was ok but evening menu not to my taste
The breakfast and serving staff were excellent. The room and tv was comfortable enough and shower was very good. The overall hotel was a lovely place and the breakfast room was delightful.
The WI-Fi was poor and wasn’t reliable. That was really the only bad thing. Overall it was a minor inconvenience .
Staff were friendly and very accommodating.
Food was lush! Had room service and the triple cooked chips were spot on.
Breakfast was divine, had the brioche French toast. Highly recommend. Lovely sitting for breakfast.
Beautiful building inside and out.
My room had a gorgeous view of the river too.
Absolutely nothing!
Bedroom was dreamy, bed and pillows were lush. The sitting area in front of a mirror was lovely.
Can’t compliment this place enough!
