The hostess Marianna was so nice! She was really helpful and gave us such good tips, made the trip definitely much better .

Albergo recentemente ristrutturato, pulitissimo. Posizione molto comoda, vicina al centro di Casamicciola ma immersa nel silenzio.
L’albergo ha un giardino bellissimo e pieno di piante particolari dove è possibile fare colazione. Personale estremamente gentile e disponibile.

Super séjour à tous points de vue ! Hôtel calme avec un magnifique jardin. L'accueil est chaleureux et les conseils proposés avisés.

Location bellissima, immersa in un giardino curatissimo. Proprietari bravissimi, sempre disponibili e ospitali, ci hanno dato supporto per ogni cosa. Colazione ottima, la consiglio.

L'ospitalità di Marianna, responsabile della struttura, è stata più che eccellente. Fin dal nostro arrivo, ci ha coccolato e si è presa cura del nostro soggiorno, cercando di soddisfare tutte le nostre richieste e curiosità. Oltre ad aver svolto un impeccabile ruolo di "cicerona" di Ischia, raccomandandoci i luoghi di esclusivi da visitare in soli 3 giorni sull'isola, si è accertata che in camera e durante la nostra permanenza usufruissimo di tutti i comfort per rilassarci e trovarci a nostro agio (anche facendoci scegliere la camera e la vista che preferivamo!). Il nostro soggiorno è stato davvero impeccabile e quando torneremo sull'isola sicuramente torneremo ad alloggiare presso l'Hotel Matarese!

The hotel was in an excellent location just a short walk from the Casamicciola centre. The room had a gorgeous little balcony to sit out on in the mornings, overlooking the beautiful garden with a view out to the sea!
Marianna, her family and the staff were incredibly nice and friendly, giving us lots of helpful tips for enjoying exploring the island. They also helped us hire a scooter which was a brilliant way to get around!

The host (marianna) was extremely friendly and efficient, she picked us up from the port and returned us when we left. Nothing was too much trouble, we had to move room due to an ant infestation after an overnight storm and she got stuck in and did most of it herself. We also had a power cut related to the storm and she brought candles to the room. She also provided us with coffee and cake on occasion.

We loved the room which was in the extensive garden and had a nice sea view.

If we were to return to Casamicciola we would definitely go back to Matarese Hotel.

The host was so kind with us, like you are family, and provide us with many things to do in Ischia. It's a beautiful house, with a really nice garden (quite big !) and a generous breakfast.

Breakfast was served in a beautiful shady garden where fruit and vegetables for the table were grown by the owners. Marianna and Francesca kindly recommended restaurants, places to visit and transport.

Hosts were wonderful. Greatly exceeded our expectations. Can't wait to come back!

Marianna’s kindness is out of this world. She makes you feel completely at home with countless attentions, recommendations and tips. The hotel is also cute and very convenient in a beautiful environment.

The hotel is really charming with a beautiful green backyard and everything is super clean. Mariana really helped us with giving information about the island like where to eat, what to visit, where the best beaches are etc. It was really nice that you can count on her help when needed 😊 rest of the staff was also really friendly 😊
The breakfast is great with excellent coffee, the offer is more sweet than savory.
I would definetively recommend!

Hotel Materese is located in Casamicciola, an excellent choice for visiting the wonderful island of Ischia, which is very central, with many restaurants, shops, beautiful beaches and other services. It is well served by public transport, taxis and has its own port. It is also a good place to stay as it is both peaceful and lively.
The hotel itself is cute, has a wonderful garden with many beautiful plants and fruit trees (kiwi, lemon, orange, tangerines, peppers, fig tree, grapes... It also has its own restaurant where you can taste homemade dishes for breakfast (included) and dinner (optional).
My room was located in the garden, so it was very quiet and intimate, with a very nice view of the sea. It was very large, comfortable, clean and well equipped.
But above all, you absolutely have to stay at Hotel Materese because of Marianna and her family. They will do everything to make you feel unique and at home. Even before my arrival, she sent me tips to come easily. As I had to arrive in the morning before check-in time, she prepared the room early for me and welcomed me with good coffee and organic grapes from the garden (which is very precious after a long trip). She took the time to explain everything to me about the island, gave me lots of valuable advice (restaurants, activities...). It was not my first time in Ischia, but thanks to Marianna this time I was able to discover it very well and enjoy all the treasures of the island. She was also very caring with me and concerned about the smooth running of my stay (booking me activities, bringing me an umbrella when it was raining, preparing breakfast especially for me when it was already over...) .
