Room was fine but dinner was badly served and often of poor quality.
Pros:

The breakfast was very good with good quality and hot food. The room was spacious with a balcony and a fine view of the garden and sea.

Cons:

Poor quality service and food in the restaurant. No rails in the shower.

I reccomend paying for garden view, unless you dont mind looking at bins.
Pros:

I wanted to revisit this hotel as I loved it when staying with family a few years ago.
However this tine I booked at short notice and was really disappointed with my room. The view of 20+ dustbins was utterly depressing I did ask at reception if a different perhaps garden view room like I had before was available - i was willing to pay for any upgrade but apparently hotel was fully booked.
On the plus side the grounds are incredible. I enjoyed sitting outside in the evening and a morning walk. Theres a short cut to seafront via gate. Super.
Lovely glass of wine from bar. I had toast and fruit for breakfast but hot food available.
No problems with staff. Nice well run hotel. I didnt use the pool but might another time.
Teignmouth is lovely worth visiting. Hotel is near walks, beach, town and railway station.

Cons:

I honestly wouldnt have booked if I'd known I would have a view of bins.I felt annoyed that no trouble was taken for guests on that side of hotel. A trellis some potted trees could have made a difference . Also in the room a long large mirror would have reflected sky and distant trees to create it less claustrophobic and depressing. I should stress to be fair that the room was large, clean and comfortable. Another person may not have minded the view.
I would stay again but only a premium room.

Great location , short walk in to town and beach and beautiful garden :-) the staff are outstanding can’t do enough for you and are clearly under pressure ,very short staffed unfortunately .Patrick was absolutely fantastic considering he hasn’t been there Long ,so thank you Patrick, for all what you did and your patience is incredible .food was ok we did bed and breakfast and dinner and felt it was good value for money room 120 is lovely nice little balcony and was clean so I really can’t complain much about this hotel .but I also can see there is in need of improvement in all areas , this could be a delightful charming hotel .

Excellent all round stay
Pros:

Had grounds overlooking the sea, was dog friendly and was very reasonable

Cons:

Nothing I didn’t like about the place but could possibly get air conditioning fitted in the future due to ongoing hot summers

Pros:

Buffet breakfast was excellent, continental, toast, jams, cooked sausages, bacon, beans, tomatoes, hash browns, and although the only style of eggs was scrambled, the staff would cook fried or poached eggs for you and deliver them to your table.

Location excellent for the town centre and beaches. Even though I have to use a walking stick, the walk was no problem.

Parking at the hotel no problem.

View from my room was an excellent sea view and also view of the hotel's huge private park land, which is excellent for long walks.

Staff incredibly friendly and helpful.

Very poor rooms for the money.
Pros:

The food and service from the waitress was good. Close to our location. Parking was good

Cons:

Reception staff were ok at first then became unhelpful when asked about problems. Room 215 was far too hot bathroom even hotter. Flooring in bathroom bunched up making it a tripping hazard. Temperature of water in shower uncontrollable either scalding hot or freezing cold. No guest book so no explanation as the hotel guide line. In room 207 No wash soap in holders had to request this. Late at night and no fan and stained towels. All replaced 10.30 at night. Stains on sheets . Dirty cups .
