Good position, good staff , pleasant gardens
Very dog friendly. Beautiful location
Room was a little tired. Bathroom was a great size but the tiles looked like they needed renewing or at least re grouting
Breakfast was very good. The hotel was very clean, and the staff helpful and friendly.
The first room was beside the dustbins and recycling bins, we were wakened early with the lorry making a real racket, so we asked for a different room. The second one was much better. The side light by the bed in the first room was broken, and we reported it, but instead of swapping it for another, it was simply removed with no replacement. We complained and they did then give us another one.
Hotel is in a great location with easy access through a private gate to the beach, the grounds are beautiful and the hotel inside the communal areas are very clean and tidy, breakfast had plenty of choice but the evening meals let the hotel down sadly cause we loved everything else about our stay, staff are fantastic very friendly especially to dogs!
Food for evening meals, although we had a standard double room so wasn’t expecting a fantastic room the bathroom really needs updating, the room itself was fine lots of room bed comfortable just the bathroom letting it down
The most fantastic location and gardens…..the walk down to the beach was delightful and with a very respectable coffee shack at the end!! Receptionists were extremely friendly and helpful throughout.
The food in the restaurant is extremely average - very dated and with a Chef who clearly rules the roost with an Iron Fist - we were twice told that we would have to come in an hour later as we’d missed our time-slot, as we were having a drink in the bar…..only to find a couple of 2s and one other table of 4! Thank heavens for FOH Jo, for pacifying us!!
A decent menu would make this a definite 10 in our book?
The location was ideal and gardens were beautiful. The hotel was warm and welcoming, and the staff were very friendly. Meals were good too - loved the breakfasts. The swimming pool looked amazing although we never used it.
The flush didn’t work very well in our room.
Could do with a few more staff as they seemed to be sharing between reception and bar sometimes.
good breakfast, swimming pool, evening meal prices were reasonable
Ideally not looking out at only, a wall and the bins
What a beautiful hotel and the staff are amazing especially the night porter Chris nothing is to trouble he goes above and beyond what a fantastic asset he is to this hotel thank you Chris for making our stay even better

Ideal location, lovely gardens and lovely refurbished indoor swimming pool. Very comfortable bed and the room and bathroom had been refurbished. Good breakfast. Friendly staff.
The depth of the newly refurbished swimming pool was too shallow especially at the Shallow end. The room we booked did not have a terrace as we thought it should have from our booking.
Great staff, good value, nice location and pool.
All good
There was no heating in the bathroom and it appears that there will not be any in the future according to Reception..
Fantastic value with dinner and breakfast included (which was great). All the staff were lovely and extremely helpful. The pool looked great (although I didn't use) and the grounds were well maintained and great for a walk around, particularly if you are bringing a dog.
Only issues were the rooms were extremely hot but a fan was provided in the room. Also, the curtains didn't work particularly well and one wasn't included in the bathroom which didn't feel very private.
It’s lovely and clean and the staff are very good … the food was great and the grounds lovely also right by the sea … very nice
Nothing
Lovely well kept gardens, spacious room, friendly efficient staff, very dog friendly, good service at dinner all was great will return!
Roadside room a little noisy with traffic
Limited vegetarian/real food options for breakfast
Breakfast is very good
Check in was delayed
