Spacious room, beautiful gardens and good food.
Our room 108 overlooked the rear yard. This was noisy at times especially Friday morning with a delivery of trollies. Also where staff had rest breaks.
Great position with access to the beach and the town
Towels were grey and some had holes - very disappointing after spending £125 per night. Lift much appreciated but very slow to operate Lots of items ran out at breakfast and had to continually ask staff to replenish
Location and gardens
The room was fine but nothing special we, have actually experienced better rooms at Wetherspoons with better facilities in the room.
Reception staff were courteous and helpful.
Breakfast staff were less so, heard shouting and swearing in the kitchen. Food items not topped readily. Discussing other employees whilst clearing tables
Food was excellent , staff friendly and helpful and facilities like the pool was brilliant . Grounds well kept.
Definitely come back
No major complaints. 1 picky thing new mastic behind toilet needed room 117
The hotel is fantastic, quaint and charming. The rooms are a generous size and ours was with a balcony overlooking the garden and sea in the distance. The grounds are spectacular and so beautiful and calming to walk through. The walk down to the seafront through the hotel garden is lovely. Highly recommend this hotel.
Beautiful grounds, loads of facilities
Na
We loved the location and the breakfast, the room we stayed in 101 was extremely spacious, perfect for 3 on a Devon/cornwall tour. We will return x
Nothing to mention here we LOVED it all.
Nice friendly staff
Having no change after paying at bar
Lovely and relaxing
Windows a little crafty
The staff, breakfast and the location are lovely The room was clean and comfortable.
The room was on the second floor and needed upgrading with old furniture and low water pressure however we enjoyed our stay because the things we liked outweighed the negatives. We only had one evening meal as it was disappointing, a microwaved soggy steak pie and a spoonful of mashed potatoe was poor for a quality hotel meal
Apart from this we would stay again just for the friendly positive staff.
Beautiful setting.
Suprising sea view
Lovely food.
Felt very welcome, staff very friendly.
Just wonderful!
The gardens were so beautiful and easy access to the sea front.Breakfast was very good.Comfy bed and a very good size room.
One of the staff was loud, not profesional, moaning to the guests alot.Im going to send an email to the hotel to complain. The rest of the staff were helpful and lovely. The bar area is not set out right,so nobody uses it much. There is another room that could have a few tables in for guests to just come for a drink.Lots of rooms for guests to stay, but not a good bar area.
