The Independent Hotel

Lovely hotel in a great location to the main train station with fantastic breakfast served by the lovely Michelle.
Only downside would be booking a room with a balcony as they just look onto other buildings, with ducting from kitchens so could not really sit outside.

The Independent is a lovely, convenient hotel for anyone visiting Rome. The charming staff, the spacious, modern rooms, and the rooftop restaurant all help make the experience wonderful.

Me and my mrs stayed here from 2nd to the 5th of May 2026. The hotel is spotless, very modern and the balcony with its amazing views and food is the highlight. Thr location is also ideal for us as we used the Termini to go to the coast.

Mini bar and the complementary two waters per day is nice. The staff are good. We felt the room was smaller than what was shown and wish it had a few more sqm for its price. Still its been overall and great 4 star hotel.

5 loved this hotel it was clean, safe and spacious rooms and the rooms and hotel smelt nice, location was perfect metro was across the road but we walked everywhere. Breakfast area was small but perfect and we loved the food. The staff are so friendly and nice and can’t do enough for you only downfall is the lift is tiny and can sometimes take a while but overall I would highly recommend. Location is perfect

Very nice hotel. Convenient to public transportation. Variety of dining options nearby. Very clean! The rooftop bar is fun with great views of the sunset and the city.

Frühstück ist super, Dachterrasse ist sehr gut (braucht es in dieser Umgebung aber auch, weil nette Cafés zum draussen sitzen in unmittelbarer Nähe fehlen). Lage, wenn man mit dem Zug reist (ansonsten gibt es sicher bessere Locations, um in die Stadt einzutauchen).

Mooie en nette hotelkamers. Op 5 minuten lopen van het station Rome Termini, waar je met de Leonardo trein in 1 keer heen kunt vanaf het vliegveld en vice versa. Half uur lopen naar de Trevi fontein en half uur lopen naar het Colosseum, vonden wij prima te doen.

Had a lovely stay at the Independent Hotel. It is in a great location for everything. Staff are very nice, Breakfast has Bacon and rggs and Continental served on a rooftop restaurant looking over Rome. At night you can have a drink on the rooftop terrace snd see Rome at night. Walking distance to the main attractions and the Metro on your doorstep. Hop on Hop off bus a 5 min walk. Book tickets before you go to the attractions, A MUST! We used Aviator, reliable. Lovely weather as well.

The Independent is within 5 moinutes walk of Termini Station whch makes it an ideal base to travel across Rome. With many restaurants and cofffe shops loacted nerby ample choice for a weary traveller.
The Hotel excelled with its warm welcome, allied with clean well appointed rooms made the stay enjoyable.
A stunning breakfast location and bar area with panaromic views across Rome was an added delight. Further with a wide range of quality food choices at breakfast accompanied by excellent service, made for a wonderful start each day.
The hotel is a tall narrow building means that space is sometimes at a premiumt but there is nothing that can be done about that.

Hopefully I will get back to Rome soon and I would have no hesitation in staying here again.

The room was clean, with daily housekeeping. Breakfast on the terrace with an incredible view of Rome was truly inspiring and set the tone for a beautiful day.

Velmi příjemný hotel blízko nádraží Termini, v okolí obchody i restaurace. Čisté prostředí, v pokoji možnost uvařit kávu, na uvítanou lahev červeného vína. Střešní restaurace s krásným výhledem.

A hidden Gem of a Hotel, located in a perfect location to explore Rome. The family suite which we stayed in was very modern, great size and super clean. Staff were very friendly especially the breakfast team and my family which included our small children were very happy with our stay. Definitely recommend staying at this Hotel.
