Chateau de Chissay

Très bon petit déjeuner, copieux

My room "overlooked the pool" but it wasn't in the Chateau. It was below the Chateau in what probably was a storage room built into rock. To reach the room you walk along a gravel path so you can't roll a suitcase easily. Room has a wood and glass rickety door that was extremely difficult to lock. Spacious clean bedroom with one small electric wall-heater. The room smelled very musty on arrival, no TV, no safe, no fridge, spiders, nice bathroom but nowhere to put soap etc in the shower other than the floor. Lighted mirror didn't work. Many outdoor stone steps to climb if you wanted to go to the restaurant. Definitely a challenging place for anyone with mobility issues.

You sleep in the castle. What more can I say?! We had the presidential suite with multiple rooms; huge and luxurious. We felt like royalty!

Beautiful rooms near the pool. Our stay was beyond expectation.

Wonderful historic location. Dining was exceptional.

Un très beau lieu. Hôtel de charme. Nous avons surtout apprécié la piscine et le restaurant. Le seul inconvénient - on n'est que resté une seule nuit !

De torenkamer met balken binten en jacuzzi was adembenemend mooi. Wel jammer dat nu net de lift kapot was dan was het top!

El lugar está de sueño si quieres conocer y vivir la experiencia de dormir en un castillo alejado de toda civilización, no hay lugares cerca y Ambossi es lo más cercano a 20 minutos en auto. El servicio es excelente y las habitaciones muy espaciosas. La bañera complicada para gente adulta pero en general muy recomendable

MAGNIFIQUE ! Je n’ai pas les mots pour decrire ce moment de pur bonheur. Personnel discret et attentionne, petit dejeuner complet avec vue sur la vallee. Notre chambre a ete changee a la suite d’un probleme de wifi. Nous avons eu une suite de 2 chambres au chateau : royal ! Merci encore a tout le personnel !

Such an amazing real castle.. it seemed I have spent two nights in a fairy tale.

Excellent service and beautiful property!

Übernachten in einem Schloss ist was spezielles und genau dies wird geboten. Service ist freundlich und persönlich. Das Zimmer ist geräumig, mit Klimaanlage aufgerüstet und genügend sauber. Im Bad sollte man beweglich sein, da sonst nicht geduscht werden kann und es besteht Rutschgefahr. Auch das Nachtessen im Schloss-Restaurant ist empfehlenswert, obschon mit den kleinen Portionen mit viel zu hohen Preisen der Hunger nicht gestillt wird. Keinesfalls ein Zimmer beim Pool buchen, da man sonst ausserhalb des Schlosses übernachtet (steht leider nirgends im Beschrieb). Für den Pool gibt's keine Bademäntel oder Umziehmöglichkeiten und trotzdem muss man durch die Lobby.

Un agréable moment

We loved our stay in this beautiful chateau which is very good value for money. The breakfast is a bit expensive compared to the value, 18€ pr. Person pr. Day, but since the castle is located in a beautiful rural area, we didn’t have other options, so we enjoyed the hotel-breakfast. The restaurants is also slightly expensive. We would have eaten there more if there was an option to choose one main course, and not three courses. Some parts could use renovation/modifications, and the pool could become more cozy with plants or more parasols, but all in all the room and stay was good value for money. Staff was overall super kind and helpful.

Chambre hors de l'hôtel, dans une petite dépendance, sans clim, à côté d'une petite piscine (pleine de feuilles et pas nickel). Chambre propre néanmoins . Décevant...
