Lovely stay in a historic pub - the best in the town
Pros:

Very comfortable bed and characterful room. The food was excellent and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful.

It was pretty perfect for what I wanted

Lovely little hotel in a great location

Comfortable bed, powerful shower & excellent breakfast

Cons:

Car park is very small so had to park in the long stay car park. It is just a short walk away though so wouldn’t put me off staying again

A comfortable stay.
Pros:

Excellent location in middle of town.

Cons:

Our room was given (in error?) to another couple. The replacement room which we were told was exactly the same, was in fact much smaller, had no bath and no view. We could see what the other bedroom was like on the fire plan map. A bit disappointing.

How central it was and the feel of the place

Superb hotel in a great location
Pros:

Staff are absolutely loving, so accommodating for dogs and children. Nothing was too much trouble. Family room was spacious and had everything we needed. Superb location, car park is small but there's a village car park opposite the back of the hotel. Great atmosphere in the bar with really friendly locals. Breakfast was 10/10

Cons:

Our only one minor issue was that the shower sprayed everywhere and was super sensitive to control to get the right temperature but wouldn't put us off coming back.

Good food and friendly staff made for a nice stay
Pros:

All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. We had an evening meal in the bar which was great, and breakfast was excellent. Secure bike storage in the laundry room was reassuring.

Cons:

The walls in our room were paper thin. Our next door neighbour was really noisy and as a result it was a very disturbed sleep, not helped by the staff talking loudly and hanging around chatting under our bedroom window when they knocked off.
