Pros:

Gorgeous location, the comfiest bed we have ever slept in! Lovely gardens to stroll in, fabulous bath!
Friendly staff

Cons:

The pool was out of action and the whole point was to be able to have a swim for my poorly back.
The dining room had Xmas lights but they were not on to make it cosy.
Wifi wasn't amazing.

Excellent location in a peaceful part of Cornwall.
Pros:

Excellent location. This was our second stay and we had our dog with us each time so we stayed in one of the studio rooms which are very comfortable and practical for people with a dog. Staff friendly and helpful. We would stay there again but maybe try the village pub for our evening meal.

Cons:

Food in the restaurant wasn't brilliant and menu a bit limited but thats being picky. Cooked breakfast was good but other elements (toast, marmalade, fruit, yoghurt) were a bit sparse. Cleaning and maintenance maybe could be better but it was a wet February so I'm sure it will be spruced up for summer.

A short break
Pros:

I like the location of the Hotel near the beach and its very quiet. I like the standard of accommodation. The Breakfast is plentiful. Plenty of parking and the rooms are comfortable. I've stayed here before and i like the heated indoor pool.

Cons:

Some of the bathroom fittings could have done with attention, the shower hose rail was loose, the wooden toilet seat was cracked and should be replaced, the bottom seal on the shower screen was worn and needed replacing and the sink was slow to drain indicative of sludge build up. The bed pillows were quiet flat and in need of replacing, but the bed was very comfortable.

Exceptional
Pros:

Exceptional staff, very attentive and accommodating, beautiful room with a sealed in garden area for our little lady (dog)
Our evening meal was truly mouth watering delicious and the presentation was fabulous, we were so happy we decided to stay in for our meal, we sat in the lounge and had coffee after our meal, which was so relaxing, then back to our Studio for an undisturbed nights sleep.

Cons:

Truly.... Nothing....

Weekend stay visiting relative in St Mawes
Pros:

Lovely big room with wooden floor and enclosed patio garden outside which was perfect for our small dog.
The room also had a kitchen area with a fridge and microwave.

Cons:

We had an evening meal which was disappointing average with small portions and expensive for what it was.
On a good note the sticky toffee pudding was AMAZING!
