great location super helpful staff
nothing
Location is lovely and very close to the sea. Our room was spacious - we could relax and work there. We ate twice in the restaurant in the evenings, and the food was very high quality, and great service from a staff member pulled from another hotel in the chain.
It felt understaffed, particularly at breakfast, which meant a couple of longer waits, but that could be the time of year.
Our room was excellent with a sea view
The full english breakfast was nice but it wasn't generous.
Our room had an adjoining door which meant we could hear our neighbouring guests.
Great place. To relax and walk.
I’ve stayed at the Rosevine previously and the area and location are what interests me.
During this stay, although last minute the service level and details were missing. Not once when entering the hotel was there anyone at the desk to meet and greet during the daytime. The breakfast service resembled forty towers with lack of condiments on the table and empty condiments when presented. Lack of refilling the buffet or attention. Coffee cafetière leaking coffee grounds into coffee which makes for awful coffee. And general lack of atmosphere, mo music, radio… The view is undeniable but more is needed!
The bathroom floor was covered in black hair!
Ground floor room with views over the garden and sea. A lovely position watching the rabbits in the morning.
I have written about this before. On our last evening we arrived back at the hotel around 7pm to find no one on reception,
no keys available, so we then noticed a sign stating that if an emergency we should ring the number shown. This was not a very professional experience for us. We waited for 20 minutes or so after we rang the number and two staff members turned up. They were apologetic and said they had not realised we were still out and had not been told about us not being in the hotel before they went out. The hotel was like the Marie Celeste when we arrived - some of the lighting had been turned off - there was no restaurant open or bar.
Super Location on The Roseland Peninsula
Hot water in room was a bit tepid. Room could do with a refresh.
Otherwise all good
Gorgeous location, the comfiest bed we have ever slept in! Lovely gardens to stroll in, fabulous bath!
Friendly staff
The pool was out of action and the whole point was to be able to have a swim for my poorly back.
The dining room had Xmas lights but they were not on to make it cosy.
Wifi wasn't amazing.
Peaceful location and good view
Too many duplicated texts/comms via booking.com
Lovely location, great friendly staff and lovely food.
Shower was not very good hardly any pressure and kitchen sink slow to drain
Excellent location. This was our second stay and we had our dog with us each time so we stayed in one of the studio rooms which are very comfortable and practical for people with a dog. Staff friendly and helpful. We would stay there again but maybe try the village pub for our evening meal.
Food in the restaurant wasn't brilliant and menu a bit limited but thats being picky. Cooked breakfast was good but other elements (toast, marmalade, fruit, yoghurt) were a bit sparse. Cleaning and maintenance maybe could be better but it was a wet February so I'm sure it will be spruced up for summer.
