The 3HB Golden Beach Hotel is one of the 3HB hotels in the Algarve in Portugal. It is just 50m from the Oura Beach and not far from the bustling nightlife of The Strip.

At the 3HB Golden Beach Hotel, there is everything you probably expected, and a lot more!

We had last visited Oura more than fifteen years ago so did not know about Golden Beach apartments.

From arrival to departure everything was almost perfect. We loved the apartment, 15, with its views over the ocean. It is close to the beach, a few ships and a number of restaurants.

We thought that the tote bag, water bottles, biscuits and milk on arrival was brilliant.

The staff, bar one, were.so welcoming and friendly. I was amazed at the languages spoken by the delightful reception team. I was put to shame not being able to speak to the maids, but smiles and ola's worked. The only exception was a lady at the bar who, we think, wanted yo lock up early and get home. No harm done, but disappointing.

If we have a criticism, it is in the kitchen. There is a microwave, but no microwave dishes. The microwave has a grill, but no containers to use for it. The paper we were given on arrival requests us not to waste water. The cooking pots do not help us to do that. One is big enough yo make soup for forty people, the other for twenty people. This is a four person apartment.

We are already talking about coming back in 2026.

We cannot give a greater recommendation than that.

We visited for Oct half term and were honestly pleased that the hotel was even better than expected. The room was super clean and turned over every day. The staff were friendly and helpful. The pool bar was really well stocked with lots of choice of drinks and we all loved the food at lunch. The bar staff worked so hard and were very friendly. They also had entertainment on some nights, the saxophone was brilliant.

The location was also fabulous, a very short walk to the beach, a supermarket, a bakery and nice restaurants.

We used Uber to go further afield, easy and cheap - circa €6 to the old town and marina. We booked a boat trip to see dolphins with a friendly chap across from the bakery, it was a great trip.

Highly recommend this hotel, simply but wonderful.

Just home after 5 nights in Golden Beach. The entire stay was 100% perfect and we could not fault one thing about our stay. Staff were so helpful and the place is spotless. Had a wonderful time and would highly recommend Golden Beach ⛱️ 😎

Great size family room with a great view of the sea. Everything we needed was there.

Just got back from a lovely week at 3HB Golden Beach. The apartment we had was perfect for us, we did upgrade for a sea view but our accommodation was large, light spacious and clean. The little kitchen was the best self catering set up that we’ve experienced.

We loved the little welcome bag given on arrival.

We ate several times at the snack bar, the menu is not extensive but reasonably priced and very tasty.

All the staff were very friendly.

It was my birthday while we were there and they left a bottle of bubbly with glasses as a gift which was very sweet. We’d only left a couple of birthday cards on the table before we went out ( genuinely - I hate asking for free stuff! ) so it was a lovely and unexpected gesture from them.

Pool area was clean and well kept, I saw someone testing the water several times during our stay.

There were always sunbeds available but there were some sunrise towel “reservations” and I can see how it might be a struggle to get one in peak season.

Just returned from 10 days here. Amazing apartments with friendly staff. Apartments very clean as is the full complex. Yes it is at the bottom of quite a steep hill but it's not a long walk to get to the top where it levels off. 5 mins away from the beach & close to the strip but not close enough to be bothered by any noise. Good supermarket just behind bj's bar near the beach. If you go to the top of the hill & turn left & keep on going,you'll find Frankies bar & grill,lovely sunday dinner & breakfast. If you turn right,you'll find more bars & restaurants at cheaper prices than on the strip. The strip does get very busy with the younger crowd later on. Special mention to the pool bar,friendly staff,nice food at good prices. My wife loved their cocktails which again were well priced. Bottle of fizz was waiting for us as it was our honeymoon & rose pettles & towel swans which was a lovely touch. All the staff work really hard & are a credit to the apartments.

Beautiful apartments, excellent check in staff and complimentary beach bag with refillable water bottles , biscuits and milk really lovely touch .
Beach towels free and changeable daily if you wish . WiFi available but very patchy at times , water refill machine great idea and personally used every day .
Pool area very clean and rock bar food excellent along with lovely staff , issue some folk hogging sunbeds but generally you could get one but we are out of season hate to think what peak times would be like , really enjoyed live music round pool great vibe !

Only gripe is beds are awful now I like firm bed but these are like rocks not pleasant to sleep on at all needs sorted immediately 😩
Apartments are on slight hill and incline walk up to strip manageable but would like folk with walking issues would struggle, Tuk tuks 🛺 into old town €10 euro each way and great fun , Uber / taxis are slightly cheaper . Overall excellent holiday

Fantastic sea view, comfortable, good sized room with sufficient self catering facilities. The staff were very helpful and friendly.

My wife and I have just returned from a 10 day stay at this fantastic facility, We went for our 30th wedding Anniversary and fell in love with this hotel WE WILL RETURN NEXT YEAR GOD WILLING. Everything was spotless rooms cleaned every day if required towels changed every day , on arrival was greeted by Mariana who booked us in our room wasn't quite ready 10-30am we arrived so very early, we were directed to the poolside bar where were able to have some needed food. A short time later Mariana came and found us to say room was ready. Both myself and wife are disabled and again we were helped with our luggage to our outstanding room number one by Mariana. This Lady is a credit to this Hotel but when you go you will find this out for yourself. the other receptionists whom we only seen when passing,Cleaners, Bar staff, pool staff, maintenance staff were very attentive and so well mannered and always had a smile on faces.So please consider this hotel if looking for a well priced gem.100% recommended hotel.Mr & Mrs Caseby Scotland
