We loved it!
Pros:

We were made very welcome by everyone at the Highlander-special thanks to Dan & Michelle. The breakfast was substantial, made with good quality produce & as good as any we have had. Our room was clean, plenty of hot water + toiletries, tea/coffee/biscuits. Exceptional value for money. Many thanks

Good hotel
Pros:

Lovely stay. Comfortable rooms . Very comfy bed.
Great landlord and staff.
Bar food was good as was breakfast.
Lovely situated with great views from our window at the front.

Cons:

The macerator toilet. It was very noisy and didn't flush well at all.

No frills stay at a reasonable price.
Pros:

Beautiful view from our seafront bedroom.

Cons:

The hotel is in need of refurbishment but this is reflected in the price. The stairs are tricky for those with mobility issues.

Pros:

Location to both town center and south beach was perfect, good breakfast

Cons:

No air con, and our room and bathroom could do with a bit of tlc

Great for last minute break
Pros:

The staff were really nice Breakfast was lovely and the room was clean and the view was excellent

Cons:

The hotel was quite dated and needed a bit of refurbishment also on the top floor and there was no lift.There was 4 flights of steps.

Family of 5 from Newcastle upon Tyne.
Pros:

The location was fantastic. A room with a Sea view . The breakfast was all you could want . Full English, toast Jam , cereal, tea, coffee and fruit juice. Set us up nicely for the day ahead. Dan was very hospitable and nothing was a problem . Very greatful to him .

Couldn't fault it at all .

Great value, great breakfast.
Pros:

Great location, pub on site and great breakfast!

Cons:

The glasses in the rooms had lipstick on, as did some glasses received in the bar.
