El Castillo Boutique Luxury Hotel

We absolutely loved our stay at El Castillo. The views are simply magical – breathtaking and soul-calming in a way that stays with you long after you leave.

The food was truly world-class, beautifully prepared with incredible flavors. Every meal felt like an experience in itself. The piña coladas were hands down the best we’ve ever had – perfectly balanced and dangerously delicious.

The staff deserve special mention: warm, attentive, and genuinely kind, making us feel welcome and cared for from the very first moment. Our room was spotless, beautifully designed, and felt both luxurious and peaceful.

El Castillo is a place where everything comes together – stunning surroundings, exceptional food, and heartfelt hospitality. We would return in a heartbeat and recommend it to anyone looking for a truly special experience.

We just had our wedding at El Castillo and we cannot rave enough about the beauty of the property, the endless effort of the staff to make your stay perfect, and the amazing sunsets that are like no other. We were treated like kings and queens and every detail was considered. They booked experiences for us as well. 10 out of 10!!!!

El Castillo Luxury Boutique Hotel is the best hotel we have ever stayed at. Truly. It’s all about great friendly service with warmth and professionality. Added to that, it’s a magnificent breathtaking view over the Pacific Ocean, splendid breakfasts and other meals, clean rooms, a beautiful infinity pool and the best sunset drinks… We very much recommend to choose this hotel for many nights. Transfer services work perfectly which makes it easy to experience places like Corcovado National Park. The Sierpe River and surf beaches in Dominican.

I have been staying at El Castillo for many years and it has always been an excellent experience. Recently they have made guest visits here even better. They have upgraded the bar selections and their food is once again of very high quality. I had delicious breakfasts every morning that come with the room, and an outstanding dinner prepared by Chef Yostin. Francisco, Roxanne, and Michelle provide excellent service to the guests and really take care of everything you need. Throw in beautiful sunsets, the infinity pool, and a convenient location for this area, and what's not to love! It's my favorite hotel here.

Spectacular view. Impeccable service. Rooms were comfortable and food was incredible. We cannot recommend this place enough. Francisco is the best.

The staff and facility were both fantastic. They exceeded all of are needs and desires. From our greeting when we arrived to our farewell actually out front. Both Francisco and Michelle came out to bid us a farewell. Francisco even assisted us in the parking which was somewhat tight spaces. Also we really enjoyed the food.both dinner and breakfast were delicious and attractively prepared. It was just a wonderful experience for our group of four

Too bad the jacuzzi was not working at warm temperature.
Looks like they ate renovating, worth visiting again after renovation.

Fantastic

View is insane. Stunning. Short drive up a long road which is unusual for Costa Rica. Beautiful lobby and rooms. Well appointed rooms with everything you need. The staff are rockstars. They do it all. English and Spanish spoken by all. Franciso, Michele and Roxanne are an asset to the hotel. They understand service with a smile and learn preferences quickly. Right next to Ojachal and minutes away from Uvita. You won't want to leave.

El Castillo is the place we go for special occasions and we always make sure to take our visitors there.
El Castillo is a magical place because it is truly a boutique hotel where you are given the best personal service around. Francisco and Roxy are cheerfully at your service all the time, yet are careful to let you take your time and give you space.
The hotel has a 360 degree view of the ocean and mountains. It is traditional with wood features, but has modern aspects as well and has been newly renovated.
The food is delicious and carefully prepared. We leisurely enjoyed cocktails on the pool patio and dinner there too. The view is fantastic. The infinity pool is beautiful. When the sun goes down the contrast between the deep blue of the pool and the pitch black of the sky is stunning.
We have stayed overnight at the hotel on two occasions and we recommend it. They have a some ocean view, mountain view and garden view rooms. They also have some modern rooms with a spa.
We are taking a good friend for dinner there again tonight.

What a great place with a friendly and accommodating staff. The meals were outstanding as well. Their chief is 5 star. Room was clean, bed was comfy, pool was perfect as well. Nothing bad to report. Stay here if you can.

Great staff and food!

The staff was so sweet and accommodating. The property was pristine along with the pool. Food was amazing every meal. Wildlife is very active (monkeys, birds, geckos, iguanas, scarlet macaws, butterfly’s, frogs etc). I always felt safe on the property and would recommend the largest suit to anyone who wants more privacy and quiet since the other rooms you can hear everything within the hotel. There are 3 beautiful beaches between 5-12min driving distance from the hotel. The staff recommends Playa Ventanas but I would recommend Playa Piñuelas apart of the Marino Bellena National Park. Very quiet beach that’s easier to swim or body board at.

Our stay at El Castillo was spectacular. The staff is very friendly and helpful making all visitors very comfortable. The rooms all have incredible views of the ocean and are very clean, spacious and comfortable. The pool and patio surrounding the pool is very inviting with world class views of the ocean. We were also extremely impressed with breakfast lunch and dinner with excellent choices of fresh local choices. There is access to many activities from the hotel that the staff is very helpful in planning. We definitely plan to return.

We had SUCH an amazing time at El Castillo. The hotel is beautiful and the staff is amazing (Donnie, Francisco, Roxy and Steven are all so wonderful). The food that the chef Justin prepared is amazing. The rooms are clean and have great AC, the view and the grounds are nothing short of stunning. We will definitely be back again one day. Highly recommend staying here 10/10 if you are in the Uvita/Ojochal area on your Costa Rican travel.

Beautiful location! Wonderful part of Costa Rica

This is a fabulous hotel! I was there in January for a private art workshop. The food was delicious and the staff were amazing! Within a day or two they knew our names, room number and poolside cocktail preferences! The rooms were spacious, clean and simply furnished with an accent on local art.
The staff made arrangements when we asked for a taxi to do a little shopping.
All in all, it was a fabulous week in Osa, Costa Rica!

We had a short stay but it was blissful! The views are outstanding but everything else is special, too. The rooms and common spaces are perfectly clean, the food and drinks are delicious, and the staff was so friendly and attentive. Great vibes all around. If we return to the region, we’ll definitely come back. Have a passionfruit margarita with a salt rim for me ;)

The views, the staff, the food were amazing! I recommend the Flank Steak with chimichurri and fries for dinner. The pool was at perfect temperature and we enjoyed good coffee on our balcony in the morning! I cannot say enough about the staff. Very welcoming, accommodating and professional.
