The hotel is in a good location, in walking distance to great restaurants, many shops, near the sea front and about a 10 minute walk to the train station which will get you to places like Naples and Pompei. The hotel is well up kept and there is a small lift available. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful and very accommodating, one day we asked for the breakfast slightly earlier than the usual time which they were able to do. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable.
When we got to our room around 10am electricity didn’t work. Put our bags in the room and on our way out, we told the man at the desk. He said I know what m’s wrong with it I will take care of it. Come back around 9:30pm smog up to room still no electricity. Go back down stairs and tell the nice girl at the front the situation. She hands us a little key that needs to be put into the socket for the electricity to work.
Everything works fine with the key. Don’t know why the man didn’t just give us the key instead of making us go up and down.
Also little black nats flying around in the room, everytime you kill one more would come. It’s an old building with old furnishings. I wouldn’t stay their again. Friendly staff.
Rooms were clean and comfortable. Breakfast was filled with variety and pleasant. Location was very easy for seeing sites, going to restaurants and going for walks. Staff was very nice and helpful.
Excellent hotel for anyone who can enjoy a happy stay. It’s close to restaurants and shopping as the main shopping area is less than a minute away.
The front desk people are outstanding as Fabio is very knowledgeable as he gives lots of idea about trips and Simona supported like anything. The suite has two separate rooms with separate tv and air conditioning and the breakfast is nice.
Overall if you want to come and enjoy a great vacation then it’s Rivoli. Also we came in at 9am and ask if they can do an early check in and they gave the room immediately as it’s available!! I would highly recommend and you will enjoy for sure!!
Excellent experience! The staff is amazing, friendly and helpful, thanks to Fabio!!
This is our second time at this hotel and I wouldn't change it. The location is also the best!
We come to Sorrento every year…this is first time staying at Hotel Rivoli.
Great hotel and great location!
What a fabulous hotel! Situated right in the centre of the old town and easy to walk to lots of pubs and restaurants. We loved the bustling, narrow streets full of quirky shops and cafes.
Our room was very comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay. However it was Fabio, Simona and the chef who made our stay so special! They were warm and helpful and couldn't do enough for us. On my husband's birthday, he was presented with stacked pancakes and chocolate with a candle on top 🤗🎉.
We would definitely recommend and hope to stay here again in the future.
My wife and I have stayed at this well-located, comfortable small hotel three times, for several good reasons. It is very well run by manager Fabio and his welcoming, hard- working, attentive team of Simona, Carmelita, Renato and Blessie. The two larger rooms we have booked (we have not stayed in any of the smaller rooms) are comfortably spacious and have views of the neighborhood. And one of those two rooms has a very enjoyable terrace. The Rivoli's central location in Sorrento allows us to walk everywhere, including both the Marina Grande and the Marina Piccola (Sorrento's ferry dock). The breakfast is more than adequate and well-presented and if any issues arise, Fabio and his staff are on the job. The Rivoli is a "home away from home" for us in Sorrento and we hope to have the good fortune to visit again.
Arrived late and asked to book a tour for the next morning. Simone was amazing and in addition to getting us settled into our top floor, squeezed us in for the Amalfi Coast boat tour the next morning. The accommodations, staff and complimentary breakfast from 7-10 were lovely. We chose a top floor room which had a surprise rooftop patio where we could watch the sunrise and sunset. A hidden gem in the heart of Sorrento only a short drag of your suitcase from the train station. Staff are always on site and incredibly helpful (a personal escort to our pick up point for the boat tour). Highly recommend!
The property is situated in an excellent location, close to the main shopping area and good restaurants as well as the train station. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful and we wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.
Cracking little hotel, located slap bang in the middle of beautiful Sorrento town; a charging old building, with great staff and brilliant value for a family.
Breakfast was a pleasant surprise, and they can't do enough to help you. Service was excellent from Fabio and everyone.
We stayed in one of the attic suites (a second bedroom is a must for our family) and this ticked all the boxes - clean, decent size, everything we needed.
Lots to amuse us over the 4 nights. Everything within walking/train/bus distance.
A word of warning for light sleepers - bring earplugs, as my wife didn't sleep well due to various noises (aircon unit, wind, rain general hotel noise). Not a complaint, just an FYI; I slept well!
All in all, a highly recommended place to start your exploration of Sorrento. Thank you to the whole team for helping us make great memories X.
The staff (Simona and Fabio) were very helpful and responsive to my many questions. They were so friendly and hospitable! The room was nice, although there was the noise of running water/pipes that made it a little hard to fall asleep. The breakfast was small, but tasty. This hotel is in a great location - walkable to everything. We walked from the Sorrento train station, which was about 15 minutes.
The hotel was lovely and well kept. The beds were super comfy and the bathroom was spacious and clean! It is in a great area and is a super walkable location. So much around to see and do. Would recommend!
We enjoyed our stay. The hotel is centrally located, staff were friendly.
This lovely hotel is in the middle of the historic town with easy walking distance to everything. One of our friendly hosts, Fabio Simona, gave us great suggestions and told us the building was a former monastery that was converted to a hotel which explains some of the architecture. A beautiful spiral stairway with clear steps takes you to the upper floors, and there is a convenient lift as well. Our room was quiet even with a window to the narrow walkway below. The breakfast area is small, but well managed with a nice selection of pastries and other foods. They also have laundry service if needed. We ate at the Da Gigino restaurant next door that was excellent and reasonably priced.
The staff was extremely friendly and very helpful with all of our questions.
Great venue and friendly staff. Located close to everything. I will stay here again.
Great location, and a friendly staff, this hotel was very clean and terrific value for money. We stayed for 7 nights and it was such a central location to explore the Amalfi Coast with a 10 minute walk to the station to get the train or bus. Breakfast was included and provided a variety of options to choose from.
We would highly recommend.
Great location, close to all the action and transportation and great host and employees
The room was tight for a 2 bedroom and the beds were hard. Breakfast was OK. Staff were nice.
