HOCKEY FAMILIES- We booked a room under a team group rate & the hotel itself is nice & well cared for. Lots of parking & in a good location (not walkable from town, but nice all the same).
Our check in process was smooth but we were immediately given the list of rules & were required to sign an agreement stating we would need follow all of the rules. The individual at the front desk appeared unenthusiastic upon checking in & stated that there are always issues with hockey families.
They don’t allow any sports equipment in the rooms and instead have a communal room where you can store your equipment. My teenager refused to store his bag with $2000 dollars worth of equipment where other people from other teams could potentially access his bag). We’ve
Travelled a lot and have never ever experienced a rule like this.
Other parents booked through 3rd party vendor’s & paid the same price as the ‘group rate’ , but received a breakfast voucher.
Between feeling unwelcome upon check-in (something multiple families experienced), the outrageous $200/night price for Creston on the middle of winter, lack of breakfast voucher & storing sports equipment, I wouldn’t recommend this hotel for hockey families AT ALL. Book one of the small family run motel’s in town where you will be more welcome & be supporting a local small business.
We will never be back.
Roomy and clean. Loved the breakfast choice. Great stay
Its location, staff , the breakfast and the clean and functional room.
The iPhone plug in for the cords by the beds haven't worked both times we've stayed. The bathrooms are perfect but it would be great if they had a wall mount magnifying mirror for makeup.
Clean and comfortable. Breakfast vg
Pillows too hard. Need softer selection.
Very helpful staff.
Our room was appealing and comfortable and provided us a good night’s rest.
The nearby Ricky’s was a suitable venue for meals but it would be better if the restaurant on the property was open.
Good location, plenty of parking for my trailer, nice staff
Location, clean
When we checked out, I saw a bunch of housekeepers lifting the mattresses and really cleaning the hotel rooms. It was nice to see that they take cleanliness seriously. Also, the front desk lady was folding the linens. The hotel itself was decent and I would stay here again if I ever pass through Creston. Breakfast was in a restaurant beside the hotel and the staff was friendly. The view is really nice from the window of the mountains. Lobby was inviting when you enter.
Was a bit expensive but I had no choice because Creston had motels with poor reviews and this was the only nice hotel.
Room was in a quiet location
Plenty of space in our accessible room.
The breakfast was inadequate, considering the price we paid for the room. In room coffee was inadequate. We would probably stay elsewhere in town, where rooms rates are about half of what we paid.
The staff worked hard to make us comfortable. Very clean and large suite room. Best motel for such a small town.
We received coupons for breakfast at the restaurant next door but we didn't have time to use.
Needs work
The location was next to truck and train traffic, however the whole town is in the same boat. The breakfast at Ricky's was bonus.
Convenient location. Breakfast coupons were good
