Pros:

Personnel très disponible, mention spéciale à Ravi qui s'est montré trè serviable (nous a fait choisir notre chambre, nous donnait de l'eau tous les jours). La chambre était propre, spacieuse et confortable. Localisation parfaite.

Cons:

La piscine n'était pas très propre, la clim ne refroidissait pas suffisamment. Il est vrai que l'odeur de durian est présente dans les parties communes mais cela ne venait pas dans notre chambre.

Overall, the stay was disappointing and not worth the price paid.
Cons:

Very disappointed with my stay at Boutique Residence Hotel Penang. The hotel had a strong and unpleasant smell, likely from the durian shop next door, which made the environment uncomfortable throughout our stay.

The air-conditioning was extremely warm even when set to 16°C — I was sweating in the afternoon. The TV remote was not working, so the TV could not be used. The safety locker in the room was locked and unusable. The towels smelled strongly of bleach. Although the toilet was acceptable, the overall room condition felt poorly maintained.

The hotel also did not look like the photos online. While the staff did change our room after I mentioned I was unaware it had stairs, the overall experience was still unsatisfactory.

I understand this is a 3-star hotel, but the stay felt overpriced and did not justify the amount paid. I would not return based on this experience.

Cons:

Une catastrophe. Bruillant et fenètres qui ne ferment pas. Courant d'air permanent sur le la figure toute la nuit. Odeur infecte, chambres au dessus d'un marchand de Durian. Reconnu par le propriétaire qui ne veut pas rembourser le séjour.

Good location and friendly staff

Cons:

As other reviews say there are mosques right across the road which start signing on a very loud speaker at 5am and it continues throughout the day at various times. The road outside is very busy with loud motorbikes and cars passing at all times of the night. There is very little chance of a restful sleep in this hotel. Durian store right next door which you can smell throughout the property along with a damp, musty smell.

Cons:

Unser Zimmer wurde anscheinend vom Vorgänger übernommen da wir nur eine Nacht dort verbracht haben (Haare im Bett) haben dann ein anderes Zimmer bekommen.
Im ganzen Hotel/ Zimmer stinkt es nach Durian (Stinkefrucht) da neben dem Eingang ein Laden dafür ist. Für Längere Aufenthalte kaum aushaltbar.. riecht sogar durch die Klimaanlage raus.

Parfait pour une nuit, super emplacement
Pros:

Hôtel simple mais très bien situé au centre de Georgetown. A 2 pas des sites touristiques et aussi des lieux de vie nocturnes.
Grande chambre et équipement basique et un peu vieillot mais l'essentiel est là.
Pour une nuit c'était parfait.
Nous avons changé d'hôtel pour les 2 nuits suivantes pour un peu plus de confort et un standing supérieur.

Cons:

La piscine est plus décorative qu'autre chose mais comme nous sommes arrivés tard, cela ne posait pas de problème.

Management lacks structure and ownership, lots of loud calling around the property for staff members. Basic upkeep lagging, the main door access isn’t functioning, so other guests keep knocking/banging and ringing at night. Wifi connectivity highly dependent on room location.
