Lanta Sand Resort & Spa

Last night here as I write. From the beginning being met at the pier, check in by wonderful staff, pool staff, restaurant staff, housekeeping, masseuse, maintenance and gardeners. Lanta sand resort has an amazing friendly team.
Hotel right on the beautiful beach front which has a few bars/ restaurants, mini Marts and coffee shops.
Breakfast was good. Cocktails were great.
Rooms were very spacious. Villas are great and beachfront room is a must. All cleaned every day if needed.
Overall I would recommend and definitely visit again. It’s ashame we have to leave after 6 nights.

Our 3rd visit to Lanta Sand, it really does feel like home from home, extremely helpful friendly staff, with nothing too much trouble, our room A003, with plunge pool, was spacious & spotlessly clean, at breakfast there’s a wide range of choices to cater for everyone, we also ate at the restaurant on occasion & enjoyed some great food, we also attended cabaret show twice with superb buffet seafood specialties, overall a gem of a place we can’t recommend highly enough, with special thanks to manager Deerake, for all his help & kindness

This was our 5th stay at Lanta Sands resort and we loved every minute of our 17 night stay.
We stay in a Villa that was well maintained and cleaned everyday by the lovely staff.
The rooms are very quiet and peaceful.
The breakfast was exceptional with everything you could need.
There is an egg station and everything is covered. It's spotless and we really liked the little fridges for the yogurts and cheese ect.
The hotel is in the best location on long beach in our opinion. The beach is very clean and there a lots of restaurants close by.
We enjoyed our evening glass of wine sat at the bar talking to Will. He's such a lovely man and a asset to the hotel.
All the staff are very friendly and work really hard.
The General Manager Deerake was really helpful and gave us some great tips during our stay.
The hotel has really improved since our last visit and we can't wait to return in the future.

I spent two weeks in Sept and two nights end of November, and every time the staff was just nothing less than amazing.
The hotel is really beautiful, amazing location right on Long Beach and close to everything.
I cannot recommend enough !
And the breakfast is just wow.

Most importantly, the staff are wonderful
We booked the stay privately through the hotel and were offered an upgrade to a suite, which we accepted. Only when we got to the hotel and were shown the suite did we realise it does not feature on their website, and although it was spacious, it was old- fashioned, with poor bathroom facilities- mouldy grouting and an over - the-bath shower with no curtain/ screen.
We asked to change to the modern rooms that they advertise (which we thought we were getting) and had to pay an extra £110 for the privilege, on top of an already pricey stay.
So, beware if you book a suite that you know in advance what you are getting.

Lovely beachfront resort with limited room service, great breakfast for 250 bt and spacious plunge pool villas. Bed a bit hard for me. Air con noisy. Wifi excellent. Netflix TV’s. Excellent staff with great service in restaurant and fabulous in-house cleaning staff. Minor issues like curtains do not close 100% and room phone not working and was removed. We had to use whats app to contact front desk. I would return in low season if rates are good value. I would not chose to stay in hotel rooms. Villas are best choice for two people. Ko Lanta is not easy to get to and the new bridge if it happens, might make it more accessible. Ferry is slow and a real nuisance. Otherwise it is a nice island for those who like remote places. We prefer Samui. Fly in and fly out.

A lovely quiet and friendly place to stay withthe family. The beach was clean and you see lots of amazing wildlife all around. Prices do vary but depending on your budget you can eat out very cheaply I would definitely recommend staying hear and would love to stay again.

This has been an amazing 8 day stay. From the first interaction at reception to the cleaning staff and service staff it has been an absolute pleasure. Food throughout our stay was consistently good. Breakfast has enough options including the essentials and a egg station for your choice of egg preparation. With a view to die for, breakfast is the best beginning to your day. With multiple pools around the resort and a massage centre centrally located at pleasantly surprising average massage prices. Pool access rooms are truly the best option, just make sure you are in a quiet corner it can get rowdy once the kids hit the pool. Beautiful lighting at night and the coolest sunbeds overhanging the beach, ideal location to watch an amazing sunset. The cocktails are also reasonably priced and you get a 50% reduction coupon on your first drink. An awesome stay! Thanks to all the staff and their patience with all our questions and requests.

Very nice hotel, well maintained and nice beachfront.
We had 2 adjacent rooms, family room with plunge pool. The room were clean and nice. Only issue was the inconsistencies of the water pressure in the room shower, some morning barely any water was coning out when the room next door was also using the shower and the water was having difficulty to drain.

But except for that we enjoy our time there. The rooms with 1 king bed and 2 single bed was perfect for our family so every one had their own bed. We also like the included breakfast near the beach.
It was low season so the price was very good but I thing at full high season price I will have find it to expensive.

Superbe hotel situe sur long beach. Les chambre sans spacieuses et tres bien equipees. Un service de taxi est disponible devant l'hotel et un service de transfert est present a cote de la reception. Le personnel est tres accueillant.

Vi bodde på Lanta Sand i 9 dagar som familj med två barn under lågsäsong. En pool var stängd för renovering.

Plus: otroligt bra läge precis vid stranden, fantastisk service och vänlig personal, bra frukostbuffé (barnen pratar fortfarande om de nygräddade våfflorna!), rymliga rum, rimliga priser.

Minus: mycket sliten anläggning, det behöver definitivt renoveras. Med det sagt, om man inte bryr sig så mycket om utseende så skulle jag varmt rekommendera Lanta Sand!

My wife and I had a swim up room, and it was fantastic.
The room was big and it was nice to just plunge right in the pool.
The location is good on Long Beach which is perfect for walking in the morning.
The breakfast fast food and I love having a sea view when dining.

Just a stones throw away from the beach the hotel is perfect for beach goers. I had the most relaxing time the staff are so friendly and helpful. The breakfast has an incredible selection of western and Thai. I’d come back here every year

Amazing hotel

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans cet hôtel ! Le petit déjeuner est vraiment délicieux et varié, parfait pour bien commencer la journée. Nous avons adoré les différentes piscines, avec un accès direct depuis notre chambre, c’est un vrai plus. L’emplacement est idéal avec un accès direct à une belle plage. Et que dire des massages… un pur moment de détente grâce à des masseuses très professionnelles et attentionnées. Nous reviendrons sans hésiter !

This was our sixth stay at this resort and I'm afraid say it will be our last. It got off to a really bad start and didn't improving enough through our visit to make us think it's worthwhile going again.

We were already on the island so booked a transfer for midday to take us to the hotel. At 12:30 I had to ring the hotel from my mobile which is expensive to be told it hadn't set off yet. The people were very unhelpful and eventually it turned up at 1 pm.

Our welcome drinks were warm when they were meant to be ice cold and the room area we had requested had been completely ignored. as it was, the room we got was very nice with a plunge pool and very good facilities. The bed was very comfortable, the air-conditioning just about good enough - the outside area was comfortable to sit in exit there were lots of mosquitoes at night.

it also seems to have been turned into a package holiday resort as every sunbed was taken. They just wasn't enough to go round which was a shame and we ended up sitting in the bar area to read our books. They've made a complete mess of the middle pool which used to be great but now is just deserted with no furniture or shade around it. A real waste of an opportunity here.

Anyway, we only decided to stay one night which was enough for us. The final straw was that I asked for some ice for the room and was charged 60 Baht. We stayed in lots of resorts around the island and this didn't happen anywhere else. Kind of sums the place up this time I'm afraid.

The location of this hotel is excellent. Right at the beach, and many restaurants and bars nearby. Hotel is set in a very nice garden, and breakfast terrace and sunbathing terrace were nice and clean. We stayed for one week in a room with balcony. It came with large bathroom, and included outdoor shower and tub option. The room is a bit dated. Glad we didn’t choose room by the largest pool. The pool facilities were not used, and were neither easily accessible, nor very nice. The pool for use is situated at the far back of the resort, and is not supplied with sunbeds etc. The breakfast and the buffet dinner we choose once was ok. The spa was not tried, but was not inviting to try either. We enjoyed the stay, but the price and rating of this hotel is too high for what you get.

Absolutely beautiful resort. I recommend booking the pool access rooms on the beach front.

Detta hotell har antagligen tidigare varit ett fint o välskött Hotel där man direkt åtgärdade skador och slitna detaljer i hotellets alla rum och områden
Tyvärr var det inte längre så vilket känns tråkigt på ett 4 stjärnigt Hotel med ett kanonläge vid stranden .
Frukost buffén var riktigt bra .Tyvärr var de kvällar som hotellet ordnade middagar med uppträdande ingen succé och hade ganska dåligt med bokningar och som jag tror berodde på en ganska tråkig och idéfattig meny och som ledningen borde uppmärksammat tidigare . Ingen skugga ska falla på all personal som verkligen gjorde allt för att alla gästerna skulle trivas . De var verkligen underbara
