The Pavilion Hotel

Not very diver friendly but great place to stay at.

We couldn’t reach the hotel front desk when we needed some first aid- ice when I was burned by hot coffee from in in room coffee maker. Also, the toilet was clogged & they didn’t have anyone available to fix it

Love this place, do well located with a very good sea view!

The staff was very unorganized. Housekeeping came 2 days early to ask if we were checking out. Front desk told us that the Bison tour was closed for the season. After leaving early, the front desk called us if we were going to check out.

Beautiful property in an excellent location. Staff was amazing. My wife and I had a great stay. Looking forward to our next trip!

The Pavilion Hotel is my favorite place to stay on Catalina Island. It is right on the main boardwalk, overlooking the water, with easy access to all shops and restaurants. The grounds are beautiful with lounge chairs around a beautiful garden, a fire pit and tables with chairs to sit and relax. They have a daily happy hour which includes a complimentary glass of wine with cheese and crackers. The staff are all very nice and helpful. I can't imagine staying anywhere else in Avalon.

Nice room and wonderful staff. Will definitely stay there again.

Good people and very clean

A little bit of Hawaii just an hour from Long Beach.

The Pavilion is a beautiful boutique hotel. It is located in the heart of the crescent and an easy walk to all the shops, restaurants, and attractions. The grounds are excellent. Amenities like bag service to/from Catalina Express, happy hour, continental breakfast, and local meal credits all add to the excellence of this location.

The location is hands down the best! Also the staff were super friendly. The breakfast was okay (bagels and fruits). The hotel is right in the middle of all the happening area and in front of the beach. However, the furniture and linens are not compatible to the price that I paid. Theirs is another hotel just a couple of blocks away that’s cheaper with remodel rooms. Although the location is in front of the beach, I would probably go somewhere else for the price.

Convenient and walkable. The outside grounds were nice. Good evening reception. Clean room with spacious vanity. Our premium room lacked a dresser, difficult to store clothing in small cubbies in closet. Bedding could use some refurbishing. The pillows a little smelly, mattress could be more comfortable. I expected a larger room for upgrade. Not sure if I would return for the price but most of Catalina is not now that affordable.

Great central location in Avalon. Clean property and great customer service. Also enjoyed the wine and cheese nights.

The hotel was walking distance from the boat, to all the restaurants and golf cart rentals, across from the beach, offered beach towels and chairs, had light breakfast and wine and cheese in the evening, it was clean and had air conditioning. It was beautiful and well kept.
