We stayed at this location August 21-24, 2025 on business. The 1st room we checked into, there was water under the laminate floor in the bathroom & the tub’s surface was slippery due to a partial mat still being stuck to the tub. We were moved to another room, it was late in the evening. Went straight to bed. Next morning noticed the condition of the bathroom. Went out & purchased cleaning supplies & flip flops. Pic of socks was just wearing in the room! Also, bathroom fan was so loud & connected to lights. Bought a camping light so we didn’t have to turn on. Room always felt damp, even with air conditioner on. Ice machine was not working or available. No hot water in breakfast room for tea or oatmeal. 2nd night we around midnight we had someone from the front desk try to enter our room - they did not announce themselves. Left when I yelled - get out of our room! Tried to call from our room-phone disconnected! Called from my cell phone - not knowing @that time it was them. They apologized and said they were checking to see if someone was in the room?! What?! We were there to get sleep b/c we were working long days at the fair! We have stayed there before & had a good experience. Not again-I feel I should get my money returned!
The staff and our room were superb. We were a little disappointed the available items for breakfast did not include much in the way of protein: mostly carbohydrates.
They had this facility rennovated and put in laminated flooring in the rooms. It was not clean and as I walked around the room that evening, the bottom of my feet were very dirty. When I received my check out bill, it was a different price but my card was charged different.
The room was clean and slightly updated. There was a small water leak in the bathroom coming from the room upstairs. It was a room to sleep in.
No elevator to 2nd floor and was not informed of a much shorter way to get to room. (Back parking area).
Staff was very nice. The room was nice. It was clean and comfortable. The shower had mold stains around the drain and there was very little water pressure for the shower. The breakfast was minimal, but was ok. The doors to the room were so thin the you could hear the conversations in the rooms as you passed by them. The restaurant attached to the hotel was very good.
Owner/manager was very helpful and a genuinely person.
The bathtub/shower was really scarred up. I would not take a shower in that tub!
The ceiling in my room leaked; I had to put a towel down to collect the water so I wouldn't slip and fall as it was right by my bed. The first night, I had a deadbolt on my door I could lock. The second night, the deadbolt had been removed and their was sawdust on the door and floor where it had clearly been drilled and removed. The night manager couldn't explain why it had been removed, and the front desk the next day tried to say it was because of the change in property management taking place. They kept reassuring me the area is safe, and no one had been in my room. They dismissed me saying I felt unsafe staying there as a single female, that I was more concerned about other guests, and that they should not have been removing deadbolts from doors when guests were actively staying there, unless they had given prior notice, which they did not.
We had a very enjoyable stay. Property was extremely clean and well maintained. Friendly staff. Parking was ample. Room was great, had a dbl Q, A/C was good and ran quietly. TV was a nice size with a good channel line up. Bathroom was good, toilet was a good height, not too low. Vanity was well lit. Bathroom would be tight if two people trying to get ready at same time. There was an awesome Gameroom with 3 pool tables, good assortment of cues, a driving simulator type game as well as a basketball shooting game. There was also a sitting area with tables for board games. Although there was a breakfast room, the attached Jacks's Cabin restaurant was great. Good food at a fair price. Make sure to try their salsa on your eggs!
We actually had stayed at the same location 3yrs ago while the restoration was in progress and had to change rooms due to a bad a/c unit but that was an older room. There were plenty of security cameras in use and the property was well lit. Would have no problem staying here again. It was such a good value for the money, wasn't expecting anything near as nice for what we paid!
Although the bed was comfortable, the staff never offered to change our sheets in the 5 days we stayed there or clean our room. Towels were replenished daily. Window had some sort of white film on one side. Continental breakfast was awful. We had a problem with our key opening the outside doors on our last night there. I saw 2 dead spiders in our room. The thing I would like to complain most about was the price of the room for 5 nights was $810.00 and on the sign at the front desk it only charges $550 for a whole week. Was I charged $300 more because it was a race weekend? I call that price gauging! I would like a refund of some of my money. Probably will not stay there again and will not recommend to anyone else.
My room was nasty tv did not work and staff didn’t help
Check in process is never smooth. This is the 2nd stay with them. If ur coming to Eldora speedway. find somewhere else no matter the price.
Bathroom was looking rough.
Ac wasn’t cooling down.
Must be a reason why they changing names so often also.
Handicap room had a tub and a shower stool that didn’t fit in the tub for my husband. The room was old, dirty and in a bad neighborhood. Was not at all like the advertisement. We had prepaid through Expedia and never even put our luggage in the room, refused to stay there.
Breakfast was minimal and didn’t have any working juices. Didn’t even stop the last morning
We have came to this property several times prior with no issues at all. However our last stay was very upsetting. With the cost we had to pay woyld had been fine, yet the coffee maker was missing parts when i called the desk the lady was continously debating with me that i was doing it incorrectly to which i was not, then had to go retrieve the part, my cups had spider webs in them (gross). The "continental" breakfast was bare minimum and they will charge a outrageous price if smoking in the rooms (to which I completely understand this) yet for 2 days I had to smell Marijuana in the hall close to my room, my room never got restocked just clean towel. Extremely disappointed, I go here for a can take my pups with me at a cost, not sure I will stay here again nor recommend it, for the price we paid service could definitely been better, much better
This place was located in a place you would never expect and off the business area.
Great, updated property with newer furnishings and nice bed. Good shower and sink with Dove amenities and plush, fluffy towels. I was pleasantly surprised by how nice the room and property were given the difference in price from other properties in Greenville. The employees are from India, possibly all related, and were all helpful and friendly.
Nice place for a night.
Nice
We waited 20 minutes to check in. Made numerous calls to front desk to see if they would come from the phone ringing. The bar attached to the motel manager came over to find the desk clerk. Come to find out he was sleeping in the office. Horrible experience.
