The Alcove Library Hotel

As researched the place is convenient with lovely entrance. Unfortunately when I reached I was informed that something happened there and they don’t expect anyone to get into the building. I smelled something burnt, turned out the restaurant in top of this hotel was on fire. They did very well to find me accommodation replacement that’s close to the area and my criteria. I need space accessible for car since I can’t walk well then. The replacement was lovely and has all amenities I needed. Hopefully the next visit I can actually stay in this hotel.

The location is convenient for business or traveling.
The room is cozy, and yet comfort.

place was clean and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The place can use some updates.

Stay for 3 nights; staff are friendly and helpful, one thing draw back is noise sources from animals and people talking loud can be heard late at night.

I'm sure this hotel was stellar when it was first opened. With in years due to poor maintenance it started to lose its charm. So, general review score reflects the situation. After nicely asking our room was upgraded/changed due to a fresh paint odor. Location of the hotel is quite OK. If you prefer to stay closer to the airport this is a nice option. In case you need to go to downtown you can easily use public transportation lines. There's a convenience store in walking distance. Staff is friendly and helpful.

The hotel features a classic and luxurious style. The staff are friendly, enthusiastic, and always eager to assist guests. The rooms and bathrooms are very clean, with soft mattresses and spacious beds. Each morning, you can enjoy the sound of birds singing. I really like it here and will definitely come back and recommend it to my friends.

I dont know who they are kidding when you read there reviews , if your a younger traveler on a slim budget looking for a hostel or a air b&b this ( hotel ?? ) is for you , its statement when you get in the lift, rates it as one in the top 10 hotels in Hoi Chi Min City , you having a laugh , its a dump , its web page is seriously out of date , we were stuck there as we had no way of contact our rep for picking us up in 3 days time, but a family that were cond by the reviewes and website as we were wouldn’t stay there and found alternative accommodation please note the staff were lovely and accomadating and moved us to a better room but not much better I may add as the rooms are battered and dirty

The staff moved instantly: over and above to accommodate a room change due to items (tv & safe) that were dysfunctional. The renovations on the original floor interrupted my breathing, but once in a new room, I settled well(very tired & late flight). The bar above is independent of the hotel & not like the past photos.. great for solo YOUNG! Open balcony. Courtyard safety assured while reading by hotel security. Close to everything! Even an overpriced market! Book mouldy.. but still found a good one to read! No breakfast..meals are easy with so many/variety of cafes close by. Even prayer at a temple, not 300 metres from hotel..tucked away in a quiet lane..with a 'little ' Friday karaoke,LOL. That finishes soon in the night for soft, peaceful sleep. There were renovating & bathrooms needed deep cleaning. I will return if still within my price range. 3-4☆ with a huge capacity to be 5☆ : with assistance with luggage, breakfast, details of how to work aircon (card), & "Order out/delivery menu..by hotel (would be welcome additions)

Under renovation and the restaurant is now called Eros..a popular 'singles' bar for young locals & travellers. It's quiet and doesn't impose on the hotel guests. It should be excellent after renovations are complete. Friendly service and welcoming staff; a true retreat from the hussle and noise of Saigon.
