Location
Staff. There was noone there when we tried to check in, I had to go to another hotel to get the information I needed. My TV didn't work, there was noone to talk to about the problem. I called on the intercom and the girl was completely uninterested. Awful customer service.
i loved the location. it was handy having kings cross nearby and lots of fast food places. i was amazing overall
the doors had to be forced shut sometimes and i wish you guys sort of soundproofed the rooms as the outside kept us up quite a lot due to nearby pubs and strip clubs
check in
Wet bathroom floor to share
Great location, bathrooms clean.
The bed beds replacing urgently! Does slam so it's very noisy.
Staying at The Jensen was a genuinely pleasant experience and a great choice for a short stay in Sydney.
The location is one of the biggest highlights. Nestled in the heart of Potts Point, the hotel is surrounded by cafés, restaurants, and shops, with easy access to public transport. It’s only a short walk to the city centre and iconic spots like Sydney Opera House and Royal Botanic Garden, making it perfect for both leisure and business travellers.
The hotel itself has a clean, modern, and minimalistic design. Rooms are compact but thoughtfully laid out, with comfortable beds and everything needed for a convenient stay. Shared bathroom facilities are well-maintained and spotless, which makes up for the smaller room size.
What stood out most was the atmosphere—quiet, relaxed, and very welcoming. The staff were friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with any questions or recommendations.
Overall, The Jensen is excellent value for money, especially considering its prime location in one of Sydney’s most vibrant neighbourhoods. It’s an ideal option for solo travellers or couples looking for a simple, stylish, and well-located place to stay without breaking the bank.
It was in a great location
The shower was broken, the room was pretty dirty and the staff were very unfriendly. Especially the front of house person. Very expensive for bad quality
Beautiful aesthetics, rooms was all what we needed, confortable and clean including the shared bathroom.
In a good location close to public transport and short walk from Harbour. The gentleman at the front open enter was very sweet.
The bathrooms were never cleaned properly. Often paper towels and toilet paper were topped up but the toilet was only cleaned twice while there. Obviously mess is caused by other tenants but shared facilities should have extra care in cleaning. The fire alarm also went off twice during our stay and when it went off at night there was no one to contact and we were outside for 30 minutes waiting for the fire brigade over a false alarm.
The Jensen is in a great location but I have stayed here many times over the past few years and it's really starting to need some maintenance.
The bathrooms could have been much cleaner and the tap in the shower was very loose which meant I couldn't get hot water. Gernerally it could do with a paint job. The person on the front desk seemed very disinterested. The staff used to be really bright and friendly but this guy was sat looking at his phone.
Not much, kitchen area,ok just a microwave, kettle and two chairs was ok Good bakery/coffee shop next door
Sullen staff at reception, could have done with pressing her shirt, doesn’t give a good impression!Me too ed twice that the drain in the shared bathroom was filthy, full of hair both down the plug and on top, rather than getting it cleaned she called out the plumbers,so the drain itself was clean but the cover was still filthy!Inside the shower door runner was brown and gungy, yuck.asked for a ground floor was put on 1st 3 mid seventy year olds having to carry up large suitcases with no offer of help was not fun, noticed later that the young Asian girls were helped.Restaurant next door emptying their bottles into the bin between 10:30-10:45 each night.Had a shock late one evening to find a woman staring into our room, they were occupying room next door and were inviting friends for a drink, they were as surprised as we were!this meant that we had to keep the shutters closed during the whole of our visit.
Good location, room ok
Television didn't work, no reception to complain to, they close at 3pm. I couldn't log into WiFi. I called on the intercom and the girl offered no help at all. She actually said 'maybe you should have paid more money and got a better hotel '!!
Clean , location helpfull staff :)
Some noise from outside air cons from window. To be expected.
