Lost our booking
Pros:

I'm not sure what happened. We had a booking confirmation. Arrived about 9.30 at night after receiving 😌 this as accepted by email. Once arrived, the poor lady behind the desk had no booking for us. She tried looking in a notebook and then on her phone. The poor lady didn't speak English. We ended up leaving to try and find a hotel at 10.30 at night.

Cons:

They lost our booking

Budget stay in quiet Bangkok neighborhood.
Pros:

This hotel has large rooms and traditional (dark wood) decor. It is not in a popular tourist neighborhood, but the metro is about 7 minutes walking away. I enjoyed having a bathtub, which is uncommon in Asia hotels I stay in. The WiFi was average. The staff is friendly.

Welcoming staff and spacious room but far from the centre.
Pros:

Large and spacious room. Cutlery, plates and bowl provided. Kettle, bath and furniture. Nice old style to the hotel. Great view from the room.

Cons:

We were misled about the balcony. Our room had a small balcony that could only be accessed via a window which was dangerous to climb out to on the 10th floor.

Pros:

Great place to stay. It’s close to bts station and 7 eleven, very friendly counter person. I’ll stay again when visiting Bangkok, Thailand.

it was not complying with the description: there is no kitchen and pictures on this web site are fake

the bathroom was dirty and there were a lot of ants around the washbasin

the owner had never give a reply to my requests

Was a Mansion, now just a 2 star hotel.
Pros:

This must have been a fantastic hotel when it first opened. But as with mots hotels, if the upkeep and maintenance is not done, things just fall aprt. The hotel was beautifully built in it's day, but very little in upgrades or renovations have taken place. Reception is very dull lit, i found out why, the light fittings in the ceilings have no globes or have just burnt out and not been replaced. The reception is bloody hot, it has central aitcon, but they do not use it, or it has broken down. It looks like that just scrimp on money, which is a shame. The rooms are nothing as pictired on the website, the beds are rock hard and the bathrooms have broken bits and pieces. One good thing the air con in our room was perfect. We booked a taxi with reception and they failed to do it for us, after they promised they would. Total inconveinience as we had to get to the airport. Overall, i would give this hotel a 4 out of 10. They need to spend some of the money they get on fixing the place up and bringing it back to its former glory.
