Great hotel in a beautiful scenery
Pros:

Beautiful hotel. Weather was terrible for us but in other conditions I imagine that great place to start some hiking and the hotel has beautiful gardens.

Cons:

Other than the store in the hotel, the closest restaurant is about 30min walking and no convenience store at sight. Beware of that.

Pros:

Buffet dinner - best buffet meal we've ever had.
Private room bath - incredibly relaxing, worth the additional cost, especially in poor weather.

The hotel was definitely a bit dated in terms of room decor and appliances.
Perhaps not the hotels fault, but the staff definitely could've been more transparent/informative on the closures (and likelihood of reopening) on the mountain, all transport was closed due to heavy rain overnight at 0900 (although not raining since 0600), a shuttle bus down the bottom of the mtn was offered, however, when we got to the bottom of the mtn 40 mins later most of the transport/attractions had reopened which was disappointing to discover, we definitely would've waited around if we had been informed of the possibility of reopenings.

Onsen molto bella e pulita. Purtroppo la camera era un po' datata ma il letto era comodissimo. Cena a buffet varia e gustosa, purtroppo non ho mangiato il dessert perché il buffet non prevede nulla per gli intolleranti al lattosio.

Cons:

La colazione poco adatta a chi ha intolleranze. Nessuna bevanda di soya o senza lattosio.basterebve poco.

Unzen var virkelig god og pæn. Super venligt personale. god shuttle ordning. Hyggelige naturlige omgivelser.

Vildt dårlige puder og senge og ikke mulighed for andre puder. Dårlig lugt i elevatorer og lidt røglugt på værelse. Lidt slidt gammelt badeværelse.

Excellent hôtel que je recommande
Pros:

Les chambres sont grandes , propres, de beaux jardins, le calme. Le personnel est sympathique et prêt à vous renseigner. Le déjeuner est le dîner sont excellent .

Cons:

Dommage que le café shop ne soit ouvert qu’une heure et demi l’après midi.

It was fun to wear the traditional costume but not fun to see how run down the hotel is.

Magnifique!
Pros:

La chambre en style japonais.
Le onsen avec vue (même si le mont Fuji était couvert). L’emplacement à côté de la funiculaire. Le dîner très varié

Pros:

El sitio es muy chulo aunque grande, en el onsen muy bien pero había mucha gente. En cuanto al buffet muy completo, nos gustó mucho.
Lamentablemente no vimos el fuji porque estaba nublado pero buenas vistas desde la habitación y desde el onsen.
El personal muy amable, nos llevamos hasta la parada del autobús en un Transfer.

Cons:

El wifi no va bien, entiendo que por donde está pero sería algo a mejorar.
