Very pleasant
Pros:

Breakfast, central location and comfortable

Cons:

The price. I think all hotels are overpriced though. It's just the market

Nice hotel, could be better
Pros:

The garden was very nice.

Ample parking.

The place was spotless.

The library was a nice room to spend time in.

The kind staff really made the hotel.

Cons:

The road is rather noisy and the sounds from the room above woke us early each morning. Better sound proofing is advised.

On the first morning the buffet had run out of croissants by 9:15

The restaurant is extremely expensive for very small portions at dinner - one of the smallest fillets of fish I've ever had with two bits of broccoli and two potatoes costs £28.

I think the hotel could do with some improvements.

Thankfully the staff are brilliant.

Good location, average breakfast but small bed
Pros:

Central location with easy parking- great for being in town but close to new forest paths and cycling . Pretty inside but a bit tatty.

Cons:

Our room had a small double and the safety catch on the one window that opened meant that in the heatwave it was stifling even with a fan. No air conditioning due to age of property I guess

Good hotel in fantastic location - could be excellent with a few tweaks
Pros:

Great location. Well priced. Good bar. The hotel staff were friendly and kind, and allowed us to store our bikes overnight in a secure room. A great place to explore the New Forest from.

Cons:

The room was rather hot even with the air conditioning on. Found it hard to sleep as a result. However, it was extremely hot on the weekend we visited, so I doubt this is a problem normally. Think the breakfast quality was decent but could be improved a little, especially the hot food.

Beautiful hôtel, nice location, a bit hot in the rooms in summertime.
Pros:

Nice hotel with lovely staff in nice location for Lyndhurst and the new forest
Pros:

Nice hotel with lovely staff and great location for Lyndhurst and the new forest

Cons:

We had a small room at the very top of the hotel, and with the hot weather and the faulty air conditioning made sleeping in the room uncomfortable to sleep at night

Nice hotel, but I'm a busy spot
Pros:

Really nice hotel, very well presented. Staff were helpful and friendly. Nice big room with everything we needed, bathroom was very clean with a really good shower. Big car park, which is a bit unusual for a hotel in the middle of the town. Easy to walk to the town centre and on to the new forest, without the need to drive. Lets us check in a bit early, which was helpful. Breakfast was very tasty, with lots of options

Cons:

The hotel is right next to the main ring road though Lyndhurst, which at peak holiday times means 2 lanes of queuing traffic right outside the door at all most all times. For a hotel with a large car park, it was disappointing that there were no EV charging points at all. The 2 for 1 cocktail deal is not very clear (that it only includes a few of the options).
