From Sunday 11th September 2022 until late March, there will be periods of elevated noise during the hours of 9:00 -17:00 daily as we work through the refurbishment of some of The Darling guestrooms. During this time, we will do our best to minimize any inconveniences this may cause.

The accommodations prices shown online are for bookings of up to 9 rooms only, regardless of room type. Pros:

We stayed in the junior suite which was beautiful! Amazing views, comfortable bed, huge suite for the two of us.

Cons:

The only very minor thing was poor lighting when we wanted to get ready for our evening - we struggled to find a good spot to put some makeup on.

Exceptional stay, spotless room with high end quality bedding and outstanding service.
Pros:

The Darling hotel is exceptional.
We stayed two nights in a suite room and had a wonderful experience.
We’ve stayed in many 5 star hotels, but this was above most other hotel rooms.
It’s all the little extra touches that make a huge difference.
The rooms are spotless.
The bedding quality is superb with feather down doonas and pillows.
We felt like we were sleeping in our own bed - most hotels use polyester bedding.
The service and location is as good as it gets.

A nice property and the stay was enjoyable
Pros:

Very enjoyable stay at The Darling, our Jewel Suite was clean, spacious and well appointed.

Cons:

Lighting in the room could have been better, particularly in the walk in robe where the lighting was very poor, could hardly see what you were doing. No lighting over the safe making it difficult to open and close.

We ordered some ice for drinks to our room in the afternoon and after 3 calls and 1 hour and 20 minutes later the ice arrived. That is just not good enough!

Excellent 5 Star Luxury
Pros:

We have just stayed at this Amazing hotel for 16 nights! I want to mention Francisca who is FOH ! Exceptional Guest Service!! 100 percent for Cleanliness and Luxury! Highly recommend and Definitely return 100 percent

Five star stay at The Darling
Pros:

We stayed at The Darling at The Star in Sydney in October 2025 and it was excellent from start to finish.

Check in was smooth and the team were friendly, professional, and genuinely helpful. The room felt premium, spotless, and well laid out. The bed was extremely comfortable, it was quiet at night, and the bathroom felt properly luxurious.

The location is a real advantage. Being at The Star makes everything easy, and you are also well placed for Darling Harbour and the city.

Overall, it delivered exactly what you want from a high end hotel. Great comfort, strong attention to detail, and service that made the whole stay feel effortless. We would absolutely stay again and would happily recommend it.

Cons:

Service declined since last stay. No airport pick up. No fruit platter on arrival. No turndown service including chocolates and treats Pool furniture in bad condition.

Amazing stay!
Pros:

We checked in to celebrate our wedding anniversary and the treatment and service we received was outstanding. The suite was delightful with amazing views. The staff went out of their way to make this a special occasion.

Exceptional stay!
Pros:

Had such a wonderful stay at The Darling! I have a tradition with my mum that every now and then we go on a staycation and experience all sorts of hotels, and this time it was The Darling. The staff were very accommodating, I had asked for an early check in and they would notify me if there was a room available. To my surprise an hour later they contacted me and had a room ready. I got more surprised that they had upgraded us to the Stellar Suite! Staff were all professional and friendly not just to me but to every guests they meet. I cannot wait for my next stay here.
