Este comentario no está hecho a maldad, solo quiero reflejar mi realidad.
Lo primero que hice al llegar a la habitación fue matar 2 CUCARACHAS en el baño. Es verdad que mi mini habitación estaba en el bajo, y soy comprensiva, pero no me causó buena impresión para nada. Una duerme intranquila después de eso... Además la cama era bastante incómoda y las paredes muy finas, aunque la gente no estaba gritando o armando jaleo como tal, se escuchaba todo y tuve que ponerme los auriculares con música para poder dormir.
El aparcamiento a veces puede ser un poco difícil, pero yo en un par de vueltas o tres lo encontré cerca.
No me pareció que estuviera sucio. Con el servicio no coincidí. El baño estaba bien, la ducha salía caliente y con presión y tenía televisión. Tenía una ventana pero estaba la persiana echada hasta abajo, no supe como abrirla y parecía que al abrirla no habría otra barrera a parte de esa con el exterior.
Soy consciente de que los alojamientos en Tenerife tienen los precios inflados, pero este sitio, siendo sincera, no merece lo que cuesta.
Eso es todo lo que tengo que decir del sitio. El desayuno no lo probé, después de lo de las cucarachas, no se me apeteció, por lo que sea.

Nuestra estancia en el Hotel Don Cándido fue, en general, agradable. El hotel está bien ubicado y la habitación que nos tocó era amplia, con un balcón sin vistas pero suficiente para tomar el aire.

El hotel también contaba con una pequeña zona de trabajo y una piscina, aunque no llegamos a usar ninguna de estas instalaciones. El desayuno buffet, por 8€, me pareció correcto y el personal fue siempre muy amable.

Aunque el hotel no dispone de parking propio, aparcar por la zona no resultó complicado: se puede dejar el coche en la calle, medio subido a la acera, como hacen muchos vecinos.

Cons:

En cuanto a las áreas de mejora, el baño se veía algo antiguo, aunque estaba limpio y cumplía su función.

Lo que sí conviene tener muy en cuenta es la subida hasta el hotel: la calle es muy empinada, y después de caminar por las zonas más comerciales y turísticas puede hacerse pesada.

Cons:

El huésped de la habitación de al lado intentó abrir mi habitación en varias ocasiones. Además de aporrear mi puerta. Se lo comunico al número de urgencias y a la mañana a recepción y no me dan ningún tipo de solución más que llamar a la policía si se agrava la situación.

La habitación no me gustó nada.

Las chicas de recepción majisimas!!

Cons:

Me dieron una habitación muy pequeña, daba claustrofobia. Era en la planta baja, mucho calor!! Ventanas y contraventanas: una fija, por lo que no se podia abrir y la otra era compartida con la habitacion de al lado( no se si era la lavanderia o algo similar). La habitacion estaba situada debajo de las escaleras, por lo que se oía subir y bajar a la gente. La neverita hacia ruido. Los muebles viejos y el colchón incómodo.

A beautiful property a 15-minute uphill walk from the sea on a quiet street with friendly, helpful staff.
Pros:

A nice €8 breakfast buffet with healthy options and an array of fresh herbs you could pick yourself for your meal (a very thoughtful detail); the coffee machine was very handy; and I had six hours to wait before the next leg of my journey and they allowed me to leave my suitcase there and pick it up later. Si vuelvo a Puerto de la Cruz, no vacilaré en quedarme aquí otra vez.

Excellent value – just as great the second time
Pros:

This was my second stay at Hotel Don Cándido (first time in November 2024), and it was just as great as I remembered.

The room was spacious, very comfortable, and spotlessly clean. Daily room service was excellent and really appreciated. The staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful, always welcoming and happy to assist.

The hotel is set in a quiet residential area, yet still within easy walking distance of everything in Puerto de la Cruz, which makes it ideal if you want calm nights but quick access to the town.

This is a really special budget hotel offering outstanding value for money. I truly hope I can stay here again and would happily recommend it.
