Unfortunately, our experience was disappointing. The breakfast was exactly the same every day, and the food did not taste very good.
Hygiene was also a concern—there was no hand sanitizer available, and some guests were taking food with their bare hands.
The room felt very outdated, like it was stuck in the 1990s. There was mold in the bathroom tile grout and spider webs in the corners.
The only positive thing was that the air conditioning worked well.
Worst breakfast I've ever had in 58 years of breakfasts! Grumpy staff and toilet paper rasioned line it's gold plated or something! Pool full of sweary Brits and signs up everywhere threatening fines…. For taking towels out ( £100) for damaging air conditioning ( £200) for losing key (£200!) . Want an extra met £50. Would not recommend. Thankfully Friends bar/ hotel opposite offers a good friendly service and a pool. Go there instead.
Overall, a good hotel in a great location, with clean rooms and a pleasant atmosphere.
The location was one of the strongest points, making it easy to get around and enjoy the local area. The hotel itself was clean throughout, and housekeeping maintained the room well.
The breakfast was acceptable but nothing special. Looking back, I probably wouldn't have paid extra for it and would have preferred to eat out instead. The bar prices were also excessive compared to nearby options.
One area that could be improved is communication. Only around 20% of the staff seemed to understand English, which made some interactions more stressful than they needed to be. In a tourist-focused hotel, having staff with basic English skills would greatly improve the guest experience.
The room was advertised as "superior", but it consisted of two single beds pushed together rather than a proper double bed. As "superior" generally suggests a higher standard of accommodation, this felt a little misleading.
On the positive side, there was a nice little gym available for €10 per week, which was good value and a welcome addition.
Despite a few issues, I had an enjoyable stay overall and would consider returning
This is our 2nd time and can not understand the bad reviews. It is about half hour from the airport. Check in was super fast and the staff so lovely. The room was really nice, large with a spacious balcony. There is a fridge but no kettle but we took a travel one and then put milk in the fridge. The bathroom was nice with a bath and shower however the bath is quite deep so if you have mobility issues you may need to ask for an accessible room. The room was lovely and clean and the cleaners were great, we couldn't fault them. The hotel has a lovely pool with plenty of sunbeds, no one reserves them as always plenty of space, the groundsmen are always about keeping the place tidy. There is an onsight shop open till late, a bar, kids play area and spa and gym. The strip is a 3 minute walk and a large supermarket just 1 minutes from the hotel. We will definitely be returning.
Close enough to the strip, about a 5 minute walk. Hotel lovely, staff very helpful, we had a member of our group ill and they got us medical help quickly. We got 3 double rooms in a row, all in great condition, cleaners came everyday, towels changed daily, breakfast was unusual, but we had toast, cereal, boiled fried or scrambled eggs every morning. We will all go back asap xx
Room 424
it was cheap .breakfast is ok if you ignore the "fried" stuff...its disgusting. the second buffet bar however is ok. i settled for made up toasties consisting a philadelphia type cheese spread with a peppery streak in it...gave it a kick.... and ham. excellent coffee but small cups and a wooden stick to stir it. pineapple juice. fed me up so im happy. room looks like it was kitted out with Ikea however the rooms were spacious lots of tables shelves suitcase racks to put your stuff. bed very comfortable .shower would be a problem for people with disabilities as the side of the bath is at least 30 inches tall. the shower itself was a constant temperature and the pressure was very strong contrary to reports of luke warm and trickling water. there is a balcony but mine didnt get much sun. standard plastic chairs. I recommend B&B as there are loads of cheap places to eat, The drunken sailor pub on the seafront was great for the football and cheap beer and food. To get to flower st leave hotel and turn right follow road to main carriageway and turn right,,,you will see the us shelter, jump on any 1 ,4, 5 or8 bus and get off the third stop and you right at the entrance of flower st....lots of good eating places i recommend the corner bar and dinner. going back head back to main road and turn right the bus shelter is a minutes walk, and again get off third stop and double back towards the other stop you used earlier and turn right and youll soon be back at the hotel
Check-in was friendly and swift,
Entering the room I put the key in the slot for electricity.
The room itself was large with 2 single beds a small sofa which doubles as a small bed, a tv and a fridge (the fridge I had had a broken door inside but it still worked) plus there was plenty shelves and hanging space for clothes. Not that many sockets and only one close to a bed.
Just to make people aware there is no tea/coffee making facilities but you can hire a kettle.
The bathroom area is decent size, the bath itself is deep which some people may find difficult to access. The bath could do with a slip mat.
There is a decent size balcony but no privacy with your neighbours.
In reception area there is a shop, a seating area, another seating area with a games console and the bar with a few tables.
A big breakfast/dining room which has the usual breakfast items cold meats, cheeses, breads, yoghurt, toaster, cerea, hot food area plus tea, coffee and juices. Breakfast food was fine, tasty though not always hot. Changed a little day to day.
Outside is a children's pool and adults pool, though it would've been too cold at the beginning of May. The hotel itself is about a 10min walk to the beach and a 20min walk to Flower St.
At the end of the road there is a bus stop which will take you as far as Nessebar going past Flower St. Cross the road to go in the opposite direction. The bus was 1€ per person per journey.
Ivana palace is away from the busier area of Flower St so much quieter, although I didn't go to any aquaparks there ae loads in Sunny beach.
I'd definitely book Ivana palace again just maybe a different month.
The hotel staff were friendly and helpful
Depends on what you want. It's 400 metres to the beach if you know where your going.
Breakfast is good lots of options.
There is a bar area for evening where people are friendly.
Reception is friendly.
We had a superior room which isn't any different to a economy apart from having an extra bed so don't be fooled by anything being upgraded on that side.
Apart from that it's a good resort.
If you want to be at the heart of the nightlife better to be closer to the strip, but for families it's a great resort though maybe not loads to do for little ones.
WiFi seems to be very strong throughout which is a plus
Has plus and negatives.
Arrived 8th September and was very quickly checked in. 2 minutes great. Key to my room on the 2nd floor and was looking forward to a quick shower and cold beer. Oh, walked into the room and what a disaster. 1st thing I noticed was the yellow stained net certain over the window. After opening the curtains all I could see was the back of the Ivana hotel sign supported by the scaffolding. Absolutely no view whatsoever 😡. So of for a quick shower and shave!!! The shower floor was sinking into floor and I'm only 12 stone. I thought I was going to end up in the room below me. Then the shaving mirror fell of in my hand next to the sink.......mmmm not good so far. Anyway came downstairs to get a beer and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Bar is open 24hrs and there was plenty of sunbeds but hardly any normal chairs and the ones occupied had some colourful characters on them (you know the 1s I'm talking about, overweight women in a black swim suit covered in nasty faded tattoos with teen daughters who have got kids). Night-time is awful as there is no entertainment so people make up there own until 3-4 o'clock in the morning then the drunks come back so don't expect much sleep. Breakfast is a big no no. Trust me on this 1 it is really is that bad. Cleaners will barge into your room a 8 or 9 in the morning without warning so beware if you and the Mrs are having giggity giggity. Beach is a ten minute walk away and friends bar across the road is highly recommended. If you just want to use it as a base like I did then it's OK. Value for money??? For £500 B/B for 10 days it was OK but look elsewhere if you planning on spending ££££s overall 6/10
Only stayed 2 nights. Close to Sunny beach and its extensive promenade.
Food was dire. Staff miserable and unhelpful.
Cheap and good tasting coctails at the loby bar.
The hotel definitely not a 4* hotel, the facilities are very old, the hotel itself is not clean , we found lots of dirt under the bed. Breakfast is not fresh and not so much choices. The territory of the hotel was also not organized and not clean.
