My first review was removed! I'm guessing this is due to the fact that I told the truth!
Don't come of you have allergies. There are no labels to tell you what any of them are, this is also true for a lot of the other food. Trying to ask anyone is a waste to time as they don't know what you are saying.
The food is awful. There is a lot of offal and barely any of the food is labelled. The food that is labelled isn't in English. There are flies on the food. We chose not to eat this as we didn't want to get ill. At times some of the food that wasn't eaten at the earlier service is left out until the next one! Food at the snack bar is sat there until it is all eaten. Sometimes this is all day. The pizza is often undercooked, floppy and curling up at the end. It doesn't open until 12pm but I went to look at 11:40 and the food was already sat out going cold. The ice cream is nice tho.
Quite a lot of the hotel is dirty or things or broken. Massive chunk of a tile missing in the entrance to the dining hall, covered with a carpet. This is dangerous and I was worried about my son getting hurt.
Some staff are hostile and make you feel bad for even asking for a drink. A good few times I was only been able to get water from the fridge as no one was on either of the two inside bars. Outside isn't much better. Sometimes you were lucky but that still involved a 10 minute wait.
Hotel has a lot of Russian and German guests. They get treated a lot better than other guests, particularly us British guests. They were able to get free food cooked for them and brought to the table, as many drinks as they wanted, this felt really unfair.
The cleaners don't leave the rooms any cleaner, they just change beds. The cleaner took almost all of the clean towels that I folded up and left under the sink in our room. She didn't replace them either. We had been given an extra card by reception and the cleaner and also took that. They were very hostile too.
The beds are awful. I could feel the springs, this meant that I didn't always sleep as well. My son said that his bed was the same. The bathroom is tiled which gets slippery. The room has slippy laminate flooring. I fell over due to this.
The beach is all pebbles. Some of these are very large ones too. Not really suitable for little ones. I love the beach and this ruined it for me. I slipped over due to the large pebbles. If the beach is a most have for you and your family then don't come here. The beach was like a building site. There was a huge chunk out of it towards the back, materials left everywhere and unsafe for little ones.
The location is bit secluded, only really bazaars locally. The hotel is situated on a huge dual carriage way making it slightly difficult to get to the other side. There is a bus but we were advised that it takes a long time to get to Alanya as it stops at 20 bus stations on the way.
Be aware that all items on markets are priced in euros. They actually prefer you to pay with euros even tho lira is the national currency. Some of them will only accept euros.
I would highly recommend Palm restaurant. They will also pick you up and drop you back off for free. Cheap prices but fantastic food. The staff are lovely and nothing is too much. We ate here 3 days of our stay due to the food being so vile at the hotel.
We also really enjoyed the Jeep Safari and The Quad Bike excursions. Both guides were fantastic and made sure that we had a lot of fun. Absolutely stunning views. Big shout out to Mustafa, the guide at the quad bike excursion.
Do not waste your money by coming here. It was our first holiday aboard and I'm a bit reluctant to be booking to go to any other country due to what an awful experience we had. This hotel is 1 star at best.
Die freundlichkeit und hilfsbereitschaft des Personals war Top
Etwas zu kleine Zilmmer die Dusche und WC sind zu eng
Let’s start with the obvious — this hotel is not a 5-star resort. In fact, calling it 3-star would still be a stretch. Honestly, it’s a very tired 3-star, and that’s me being polite. The “five stars” in the name must have been awarded by themselves after a particularly strong cocktail (which they wouldn’t know how to make)
We arrived late afternoon, ready to check in — only to be told our room wasn’t available until the next day. Instead, we’d be staying in “the villa” for one night. Sounds idyllic, right? Think again. Meanwhile, my in-laws were offered a cash-only €50 “upgrade” for a balcony room. Bargain, we thought! Until they saw it — the balcony was so small you couldn’t fit a plastic chair on it, let alone enjoy a drink. So don’t fall for it — it’s more Juliet’s ledge than a balcony.
Our temporary “villa” was, frankly, dreadful. Dirty, unsafe for kids, and clearly allergic to basic maintenance. The walls were peeling, things were falling apart, and I’m pretty sure “health and safety” had never been introduced to the place.
The next day we were moved to our proper room, which thankfully was better — smaller, but at least clean. We were told to stay put in our villa until 12pm for the transfer, meaning we spent half our first day just waiting around. Holiday vibes: zero.
The new room had a large bed and a bunk bed, which sounded fine until you looked closely. The top bunk was a hazard — my son could have easily rolled through the gap, and some of the slats had clearly been broken and “repaired” in a way that didn’t exactly inspire confidence. Wardrobe space was laughable. The bathroom? Let’s just say the toilet and shower were on very close terms. The shower flooded the floor, turning it into a makeshift paddling pool.
If you’re big on cocktails or nice drinks on an all-inclusive holiday — don’t get your hopes up. The wine was terrible, and the cocktails were a creative disaster. The Pina Colada came without coconut (but with milk, because… why not?), and the Espresso Martini was also made with milk, so it curdled beautifully. Occasionally, the beach bar managed a half-decent Cosmo, but mostly it was liquid disappointment.
Food-wise — meh. The same grilled fish, chicken, and turkey on repeat. Desserts looked like they belonged in a patisserie window but tasted of… nothing. The one shining light? The baklava — 10/10, no notes.
Entertainment was surprisingly great! The kids’ mini disco was a hit — though someone should tell the DJ that “the kiddo disco doesn’t need the base booster on to deafen the children. The adult shows were on a 10-night rotation and genuinely entertaining. That said, the stage flooring looked unsafe, and the popcorn/candyfloss stall was pure temptation torture for kids — not included in the all-inclusive, and the vendor was puffing away like a chimney right over the food. Lovely
By this point, it was clear we were visiting at the end of the season, and staff were more focused on packing up sunbeds than serving guests. Supplies were running low, and enthusiasm even lower.
Speaking of staff — 98% looked miserable. Duran at the bar looked like he was plotting his escape every time someone asked for a drink, miserable and rude! The exceptions were Hasan, an absolute gem — always smiling, skating around, and genuinely trying to make guests happy — and Maya, who helped us during checkout.
In summary, this “5-star” resort should not be sold to the British public or be labelled — or anyone expecting a genuine luxury holiday. Come for the baklava, stay for Hasan, your children may seriously hurt themselves on the dodgy tiling and flooring but expect much else.
• The food is awful. There is a lot of offal and barely any of the food is labelled. The food that is labelled isn't in English. There are flies on the food. We chose not to eat this as we didn't want to get ill. Often the food from lunch is also served at dinner if not all eaten, this includes the food that had flies on it.
• Don't come of you have allergies. 95% of the puddings contain nuts and coconut. I'm allergic to both so I couldn't eat hardly any of them. There are no labels to tell you what any of them are, again this is true for a lot of the food.
• Food at the snack bar is sat there until it is all eaten. Sometimes this is all day. The pizza is often undercooked, floppy and curling up at the end. It doesn't open until 12pm but I went to look at 11:40 and the food was already sat out going cold. The ice cream is nice tho.

This holiday was nothing like the one that we were advertised. It's a 2 star hotel at best.
Amazing hotel staff all lovely and welcoming plenty to do ..
Entertainment great for adults and kids
Rooms always immacualte
Things we liked in the hotel:
* The Splash park and water slides
* The food was good, we like to try local cuisine and there was good variety of Turkish/Mediterranean dishes.
* Good location
* Lovely masseuse Sarri
* The three Polish girls from Entertainment team - organised amazing Mini Disco and daily sport activities! I enjoyed my morning yoga classes with Victoria, the girls were super hardworking, friendly and kind! My daughter and I absolutely loved them!!
* Our Rep, Murat, was very helpful and kind, we booked some amazing Jeep and Buggy experiences that we loved!
* Lovely pebbly beach with clear turquoise water!!!
* Nice green spaces with a beach view - I loved having my morning coffee at the beach bar!
Things that spoiled our time:
* THIS IS NOT A 5 STAR HOTEL!!
* Extremely Small room, that we (somehow) managed to change after 3 days!! to slightly bigger - Reception was so rude to everyone and everyone seemed to be having the exact same problem - small room!
* VERY scruffy hotel, definitely needs a major renovation - broken tiles, paint come off, rust, holes, old carpets..
* The main swimming pool was very dirty - full of hair and bits and whatnot..
* Although the food was generally good, not everything was fresh, I got food poisoning after eating seafood.
* Majority of the staff were rude and genuinely hated all foreign guests, only being nice to local Turkish tourists.
* The behaviour of the local Turkish guests - they were extremely rude, we got pushed while queuing, my daughter got shoved down a slide by local boys not just once, she was crying because local children were pushing her and not allowing her to have a go on the slides! Not to mention the way they stare and make you feel uncomfortable! Simply horrific and disgusting behaviour!!
* Spa centre smelled like mould.. The Person who sold the massages was giving prices according to where you come from, we met other people who got charged 5x more for the same package! Be careful what you pay for!
* The Turkish entertainers only cared about their local guests, they seemed quite rude and disrespectful to foreign tourists.
WE MANAGED TO HAVE A LOVELY HOLIDAY BECAUSE WE CHOSE NOT TO PAY ATTENTION TO ANY NEGATIVES, WE SIMPLY IGNORED THE REALITY AND FOCUSED ON HAVING FUN!!
WOULD NOT VISIT AGAIN - THIS HOTEL IS STRICTLY FOR LOCAL TURKISH TOURISTS ONLY - THEY DON’T HAVE ANY RESPECT FOR FOREIGN VISITORS!!
Amazing and friendly staff. Special shout out to Hassan, mustafa, ceycey, Oscar all brilliant made the holiday extra special.
Aqua Plaza is a wonderful place for a relaxing and enjoyable holiday. The hotel has a friendly atmosphere, clean rooms, and very helpful staff. The pools are large and well-maintained, perfect for both adults and children. The food is delicious with plenty of variety, and the entertainment team makes the evenings fun and lively. Overall, it’s a great hotel for families and friends who want to have a comfortable and memorable vacation.
So here is my honest opinion of Club Aqua Plaza.
It must have been AMAZING when it first opened, however I'd say now more of a 3 star.
The first room we was given was awful, luckily enough I had the money to pay & upgrade to a nicer room with sea views.
The food is ok, but seriously overcrowded & struggled get a seat in the restaurant with HUGE queues. There wasn't a big selection, but we always found something to eat, the problem is it wasn't warm.
Breakfast was the worst for cold food.
The Pide at the snack bar are good & jacket potatoes.
The highlight was the Italian by the beach bar.
Many amenities have closed down such as the children's fun fair, waffle bar by the relaxing pool etc...
The animation are terrible though the day & not interested. However on an evening they are much better. The entertainment is good but everything is finished by 10pm.
Most staff are incredible, shout out to the following legends:
Eren - Bar
Elif - Bar Red Hair
Hüseyin - Guest Relations
Rojhat - Italian/ Evening
Sila - Bar
Husan - Roller Skates
Belut - Lobby Bar
Tugay - Breakfast
Overall it was a good holiday, but I've experienced much better hotels in Turkey.
The hotel staff were very helpful and friendly the rooms were very clean and the food was good as well pool were great for children big and small and the beach bar was nice in the evening
This review has been written considering both positive & negative experience of our stay.
Check In:
To start from the worst, we paid extra for x2 sea view rooms for our group of x3 adults.
We had a late check in planned plus our flight was delayed, so we ended up arriving very late at night (next day morning?), between 2-3 am. We have been informed there are no 2 separate rooms available due to electricity issues in our block and that there is no other choice for tonight than to stay in a family room. It was not convincing for none of us that the issues have started at around our supposedly check in time the day before and I still believe they have double booked our rooms.
There was a long argument with the reception staff, a manager (who didn't speak English) & holiday operator over the phone, none of it helped at all. It was nearly 5 am by the time we gave up due to been extremely tired and have agreed on what was given to us. The family room was rather a converted shop with almost no privacy inside and from the outside.
Luckily, next day we have been given what we paid for and these rooms were good, sea view was amazing and we have received some complimentary stuff.
Rooms:
Sea view is worth extra money. Rooms are generally looking good with quite fresh refurbishing and stylish design. On the other side, there was no shampoo, we had to use the shower gel instead.
Staff:
Very random, as some were very polite and friendly while the others seemed clearly not much bothered, especially at the bar next to a water park.
Alexandra, the reception senior staff, was extremely helpful and have answered all our basic questions that we did not have a chance to ask during our check in.
Cleaning:
Although it does say they change the towels every 3 days, we had to chase a cleaning lady to simply do some basics including emptying the bins as there were 2-3 days nobody came to our room at all.
Food & drinks:
The desserts were a true highlight, although I am not a fan of that stuff generally, I must say they were high quality and tasted like properly home made ones.
Pasta by the sea bar was delicious, I had it a few times.
The food in canteen was hit or miss, on most days it was alright but I felt very sick on one day and I am sure it is something to do with the food from the main kitchen.
Cocktails quality very much depended on a bartender, it was a lot better at the beach bar.
Beer was not the best but okay, wine was not drinkable at all.
Animation:
The ones we chose to go to were good, although the announcements were very late, sometimes just a few hours before the actual start.
Pools & swimming:
Choices for everyone. The further from the main reception, the better vibe you get.
1st pool next to the rides, lots of people with children.
2nd pool is further, nicely decorated and quiet but with no proper bar.
3rd seawater pool, in my opinion the best and the furthest.
There is a pier by the sea with some sunbeds, for the ones who prefers swimming in the sea.
Location:
Slightly isolated but not in a middle of nowhere. There is a Soho Bazaar market within just 10 min walk. They mostly sell the designer fakes although you can find lovely souvenirs, homemade Turkish delights and nice silver jewellery.
Side town is considerably close.
Overall, apart from our very unpleasant check in, there is still too much depends on how lucky you are.
The people around the hotel can’t do enough for you.
The rooms are clean and the cleaners are all Thai so are very very efficient.
However the WiFi ( I know I’m on holiday) is nonexistent we have two teenage girls who both have boyfriends at home 😞, it didn’t bother me.
My girls are 13 & 16 this resort isn’t for their age group, but younger children were having the time of their lives which was nice to see.
I don’t think they have many English speaking families here as 99.9% of the entertainment we couldn’t understand,so just sort of sat there why everyone who could be bothered to turn up where clapping and cheering.
We didn’t have a bad holiday but it could have been better for the girls. That’s our mistake not the resorts.
If Yiu like your food then you will enjoy it here, although as always some nations are not very polite and where pushing my girls out the way to get the last of something.
You have to put your towels on the deck chairs about a week early to beat one of the obvious nations to them.
Thank you to the staff who through a difficult job always smiled and said hello.
I recently went to Turkey with my boyfriend and stayed at this hotel, it’s safe to say we were both extremely disappointed. The bed in our room was dirty, some of the towels were still dirty and the balcony door couldn’t be locked leading us to feel unsafe as we were on the first floor. The hotel staff couldn’t communicate with us as none of them spoke any English. To add to this, some of the staff in the food area made me feel very uncomfortable. Constant staring at me isn’t pleasant when trying to enjoy a meal. The WiFi that the hotel says they have doesn’t work at all causing us to have to buy passes for the country which was an unexpected extra cost. If you’re allergic to cats don’t go to the hotel as cats roam around especially during meal times, there were also tons of flies on the food. I wouldn’t ever go back to this hotel and I certainly wouldn’t recommend anyone to go here
Had a brilliant experience at hotel, was worried after reading bad reviews. But hotel is really clean, lots of food choices even for our picky eater. Staff very friendly and helpful.
The hotel is spotless clean and pools are amazing as are the waterslides and the staff and the alcohol. These are all plus sides but then minus sides weigh this hotel down HEAVILY. As a supposedly 5 star this hotel the family entertainment starts at 9pm after kids show and finishes at 9.30pm and was either acrobats, dancers or some cheesy show done by staff to fill a gap, such as me aqua plaza and Mrs aqua plaza, the pool bar then shuts at 10pm whether you have queued for 15 mins or not.
The food is very nice but very repetitive and breakfast there is very little choice unless you want continental. Room service is good. The location also is a big minus point as there is nothing local apart from a bazaar so you have to remain in hotel or get a taxi somewhere. The dining room floor is extremely wet and also the alacarte restraint does not exist although sign posted. Close to good pebble beach and close to sea hence why the score of 3/5 has been given if not for pools and staff this score could have been considerably lower
FB manager Özkan Bey took great care of us, bar manager Mehmet Bey made nice cocktails. The attention and interest in terms of guest satisfaction was great. We will come again next year. The food was good, the rooms were clean. The garden area is very nice. We thank Özkan Bey, the leader of the restaurant and bar team.
The entertainment let’s this hotel down
Animation team are not the best
Me and my friend came for 8 nights all inclusive. The hotel is lovely, we really liked the quiet pool and the newly built pool area and bar. It is so nice. What is also good is that we never had to “fight for sunbeds” there was always some free.
The snack bars were great, especially the one by the quiet pool, it is almost like a restaurant; you pick something off the menu and they cook it, such as spaghetti bolognaise. The main restaurant is your standard all inclusive, my only complaint was the food was quite oily. You can also get ice cream from the main snack bars all day till 10pm which was great.
The rooms are lovely we had a nice view to the quiet pool. It had everything you need in it and they put bottles of water in the fridge for you regularly. The drinks on all inclusive are great and the waiters will deliver drinks to you at the pool.
The entertainment at night is quite good and different each night they’d have dancers, competitions, bingo and disco. They also did activities throughout the day like yoga, darts and foam parties. Then sunset party in the evening with the DJ. There is plenty to do for children as well like the water park and kids club.
The entertainment workers were great, Enes and Hakim especially we made good friends with them. The sunsets on the beach are lovely too. Our favourite place in the hotel was the garden area, they have it all lit up at night and looks lovely.
If the transfer time puts you off I wouldn’t let it because it’s probably took half the time it says from Antalya airport.
The WiFi works well everywhere but just not that well in the room however, if you stand on the balcony it does work.
We are missing being there already and would come back. I’d ignore the bad reviews as we were worried before we came but had the best time. The staff are very helpful and all lovely. Hope to come again one day!
Also if your stuff falls off the balcony the workers can help get it back as my Wigan Football Shirt did and the house keeping man got it back haha!
We've just returned from a week at this hotel. I feel that I have to write this review as I wouldn't like anyone to make the same mistake as we did. We booked here with Easyjet as we felt it had a good balance of things for adults and children. Myself, my husband and my 3 sons aged 17, 13 and 5.
When we first arrived, I was underwhelmed by the appearance because it looked a bit like a 80's block of social housing flats, but once we got in, the lobby was more modern so I ignored my initial feelings and proceeded to check in. Check in was pretty seamless and the young man that checked us in was polite and professional.
We were shown to our room by a young man who brought our luggage up. I tipped him for this and then he left us to it. I had a look around the room and was once again underwhelmed...Then I went into the bathroom 💔 it was grotesque and dysfunctional. First of all, it stinks of raw sewage, the shower gives you intermittent hot water and the door on the shower doesn't close properly which means that the floor ends up soaked (thankfully they gave is 4 towels which were only fit ro clean the floor). The water flies straight out of the sink when you switch the tap on and in our shower cubicle there was a brown lump stuck to the wall which I am 100000% sure was excrement. Due to me having ocd, I travelled with a massive bottle of dettol and a pack of vinyl gloves, so I was able to scrub this myself so that it was safe for me and my family to use.
By the 2nd night, we realised that the plug sockets in our half of the room were not working when we tried to charge our phones. I informed reception and someone came up within half an hour to look into this. The technician told us that it was because our plug were both faulty, they were not faulty as they worked fine in the other half of our room. He then proceeded to lift up a poor wall covering to reveal exposed wires and fiddled with them to attempt to make it work. He said he would be back in 10 minutes to try something else. We're now back in the UK and he never came back so we had to charge 4 phones, a tablet and a kindle in 2 sockets in our children's half of the adjoining room using 2 plugs. Very difficult when the power goes off while you're not in the room. We also woke up to no power at all throughout the whole room on 2 separate mornings.
The Food...
I've never known anything like it. It was the worst experience of my life. Every single one of us got ill, whether that was sickness, diarrhea or both, we ALL got ill. The food is trash, not authentic Turkish food, not quality produce and one of the worst aspects of this holiday. To be clear, we are not a fussy family, we love to try new, different foods and embrace all cultures. There was nothing nice about any of the food and anything that you do try will 99% of the time have been sat on by at least 20 flies. There is not a single bug zapper in sight and you will compete with flies at each meal time. This is to be expected outside, but inside it is completely unacceptable.
The dining area itself is slack and dilapidated. Hygiene is POOR, although you see staff constantly wiping the tables, please pay attention to them and you will see that they NEVER have a spray bottle in their hands and they use NO detergent or cleaning products on those cloths at all. They're essentially just wiping dirt from one table to another. We decided to sit in the outside dining area. My son kept on saying that the food he was eating seemed wet. I thought he meant the melon so didn't pay it much mind. Until he was eating bread and said the same thing. When I looked, I noticed his plate was wet, I looked to see where this had come from and realised that dirty water from the roof had been leaking onto the food that my son was eating. He was violently sick for 48 hours after this and I had to take him to see the pharmacist who gave us medication to help replace the fluids that he had lost due to this. The whole roof is fool of holes and spots of tape where they have clearly tried to patch it up because of this. I also noticed on the way out that the area was laden with buckets catching water from these leaky bits. I also recorded this water leaking on to my sons food so it cannot be denied.
As many other reviews have stated, there are cats throughout the dining area and despite several signs that clearly state NOT to feed them, we witnessed other guests feeding them under the tables. I am a dog owner and my personal preference is not to have animals of any kind around me at dinner time, but I believe this is down to personal preference so cannot hold it against the hotel.
After that terrible experience, I remembered that some of the literature the young man gave to us when we checked in said that there was an a la carte restaurant on site for an additional fee. I thought it would be safer to go there to avoid anymore issues. I hadn't noticed a restaurant anywhere within the grounds, so went to ask at reception where I could find it. The man at reception looked at me like I was an idiot and said "There is no a la carte restaurant, we don't have one for a long time now" I had given up by this point. We took a taxi up the road to Palm Restaurant for the loveliest food that we had the whole time. There we ate for the rest of our stay.
Every Turkish person that we encountered whether they were members of staff or just local people, were absolutely BEAUTIFUL, they were so welcoming, polite and gracious and apart from the weather, they were the best thing about the holiday. They did their country proud and I would go back to Turkey 5000 times a year if I could.
Unfortunately the other guests at the hotel were not all Turkish. For context, I am a black woman of Jamaican heritage and my husband is Irish, we have 3 mixed race children. This is important for families like mine to note because it is not pleasant at all. We literally had people coming and standing and staring at us with mouths open wide because of the colour of our skin, not in a friendly way, they looked at us with utter disdain and repulsion and this was ALL DAY, EVEEY SINGLE DAY. We were the only black/mixed race family until the 6th day of our holiday and it was absolutely horrendous for us to experience this. I do not know what nationality these people were, but please note this was not an isolated incident, this was not one person or one family, this was happening with different people every single day. This is NOT the hotels fault AT ALL, but others need to be aware as it's such an unpleasant experience.
All in all, although Turkey is fantastic, this hotel is poor and I wouldn't ever return. I'm currently going back and forth with
Easyjet over this because I can't understand why they have a place like this on their site. It makes no sense.
The water games are nice but very old.
The hotel all in all is very old and in a miserable condition. There was no internet connection in the hotel. I could barely connect and was disconnected most of the time. No telephone in the rooms. Beds were terribly bad. The beach is not sand , but stone. We could not enjoy our stay and complete consider that i lost the amount of money spent there. Please do not recommend it to any family.
The bar staff were friendly and quick. Great drinks, nice atmosphere, and good music. Slight wait for the bill, but overall excellent service. I’ll definitely visit again. Sami os Perfect. Na 100 procent wrócę tam aby raz jeszcze kupić produkty
