Absolutely not worth it
Pros:

The hotel is in a great location to easily access the fairy pools, Talisker, Portree, etc.

Cons:

This place needs a complete renovation. The photos DO NOT match the actual experience. Mold, dust, peeling wallpaper, etc. The heat was not on during our first night and we were freezing. Extremely thin walls and floors — we heard multiple guests coughing and walking around throughout the night. We did not unpack and overheard other guests at breakfast saying the same.

Onjuiste balans in prijs-kwaliteit

Mijn vriend was jarig en het personeel regelde op mijn verzoek een bosje bloemen en een hele taart van het hotel. Ontzettend lief!

Cons:

Ik boekte voor zijn verjaardag de Pinnacle Suite (de grootste kamer met een vrijstaand bad met uitzicht op de bergen). Echter bleek tijdens ons verblijf het bad helemaal niet te werken. Niemand had ons hierover ingelicht en het hotel deed niks aan een vergoeding hiervoor en maakte ook geen excuses. Ik schaamde me natuurlijk omdat ik een suite had geregeld met een kapot bad.
Ik vind dat je dit absoluut niet kan maken. Ik heb betaald voor een suite mét bad. Nu had ik net zo goed een ‘normale’ kamer kunnen boeken.

Jederzeit wieder!
Pros:

Das Frühstück war hervorragend und wurde frisch zubereitet. Etwas mehr Auswahl an frischem Obst wäre noch schön, aber dies lediglich als kleiner Verbesserungsvorschlag. Das Personal war super freundlich - die nettesten Kontakte in unserer Schottlandrundreise! Das Restaurant und die Bar im Nachbargebäude (ohne Lärmbelästigung!) waren sehr gut. Unser Zimmer war groß und sauber und das Badezimmer mit Dusche, Badewanne und abgetrennter Toilette erstklassig ausgestattet. Die Lage des historischen Gebäudes ist ein Traum und der Charme und die Geschichte des Gebäudes wurde erhalten und gepflegt (z.B. kleines Museum im Haus mit Gästebuch aus 18Hundert irgendwas).

Cons:

Touristisch überlaufen da die Lage einfach zu gut ist. Abends und Morgens Schwärme von Midges (Beißfliegen) - wofür aber das Hotel nichts kann

Perinteikäs hotelli keskeisellä sijainnilla kauniissa ympäristössä. Huone viihtyisä, vaikka vierailumme lopuksi huoneen ovi irtosikin saranoistaan. Maistuva aamiainen ja vieressä pubi, josta sai ruokaa.

I loved this place, the staff were amazing and really friendly, and accommodating. The room was nice, clean and had great views.

Time for a rethink and update.
Pros:

Breakfast was good.

Cons:

Traditional bar area at heart of hotel was closed..
Evening meal in barn area off the local bar was limited (some choices not available) and muzak was not necessary and excessive volume.

Needs more inviting hospitality, improved local food offer not just urban fast food.

Bedroom smaller than expected.
