We had a great view of the lake. My husband raved about the mushroom risotto, and it was one of the best meals of our trip. The proximity to Kylemore Abbey was great.

Beautiful location, and even though we had a rainy weekend, it did not take away its charm and romance. The location is absolutely what it says on the tin. One of the neighboring towns isn't all that good, but thank God we weren't staying there. The Leenane is a perfect getaway, and if that's what you want, that's what you get.
Galway city is an hour away by car, and that city is amazing. Cong is a must. Just the fact that you are in the heart of nature is even more fantastic.
The staff are really nice.
The food served is delicious, and I loved that you could get hot toast for yourself and not have it served cold by the kitchen. The breakfast bar has everything anyone could need. Breakfast portions were good and done to your liking.
Bar food: The bar is small and cozy. The food was good. Service was really good.
The hotel was always filled with charm and class and quirky Christmas decorations, which made it feel like Christmas.
Hygiene is spotless, and I have to say that because I have never used a restroom that was so clean... ever! In my life.
Thanks to all the staff. We will be back, and I 100% recommend a stay at Leenane. Two nights minimum. One night isn't enough to explore the area.
I liked our room, but i did not like we was not in the main building, but if thats all i have to moan about hapoy days
