Lovely venue, but customer service has weakened from November 2025 to February 2026
Pros:

The Hotel is in a good location with a car park at the rear, the Garden Suites at the rear are a little more accessible but access in this building is an afterthought, if you have any sort of mobility issues, this isn't the place for you. There are too many 2 steps up and 2 steps down for no reason, and

Cons:

I was here before Christmas, and the breakfast option was excellent; that doesn't appear to be the case in February 2026, it would appear corners are being cut to save a few €. I asked for gluten-free bread and this was out on display, not marked as such and was open to cross-contamination as it was right beside other bread, none of which was marked. I was told I could use the toaster and explained this wasn't an option. When I asked if the chef could toast the bread, it came out tasting of oil where it had been fried on a pan, again possibility open to cross contaimination. At dinner I asked for a gluten free option, the bar said, "yea it's all grand", I asked the waiter instead to check with the Chef, and the feeling was that I was being an inconvenience. Yes or No is the answer here. Again, this could be new staff, but it is an area that needs improvement.
