Important information:

Please note that the property hosts music events and live bands perform on Friday nights from 20:00 onward. On Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and bank holiday Sunday nights, there is an in-house night club until 02:00. Some rooms may be affected by noise.

Please be aware that all guests will be held liable to extra charges arising from damage caused by smoking or any other incidents that might happen throughout your stay. Guests are also liable for an additional charge should there be excessive noise after midnight resulting in the disturbance of other guests. Your card will be charged for an amount proportionate to the damage caused in either case.

All Group Reservations will be contacted regarding deposits. All Group Reservations are required to pay a €30.00 per person and pay the remainder two weeks prior to arrival.This property might host on-site functions, so noise may be audible in some rooms.

Great location, great food and service in the bar area but room needs updating.
Pros:

It was close to the centre of town and with parking.The staff and food in the bar area were very good.

Cons:

We were upgraded and that was very nice but we had heavy luggage and the room was on the 3rd floor and there was no lift or assistance. Although the room was spacious and clean, it did look a bit tired and needs updating.

Pick another venue for a small wedding there are many options in kolkenny im su step up
Pros:

my family arrived for my daughters small wedding on 25th june, with my dad who is 82 and my mam 75 yrs, dad uses a cane and we were sent on a long unnecessary route to the welcome area exhausting him in 35 drgree heat noone was attentive enough to show us to the welcome area when i mentioned this to a member of staff he replied were busy we have two weddings today...my mam responded we are part of one of those weddings.
The first 15 or 20 minutes was chaos will alarms falsely activated which intrupted the air conditioning, a sweat box is an under statement. Noone indicated as to whether it was a real emergency or false alarm.
The small bar we were brought to for tea coffee and biscuits on arrival for wedding did not actually serve the tea or coffee there was none offered just cups and saucers left out for display on the bar. The hotel had 3 staff.serving there The younger girl was not suitable for front of house service. She was unfriendly, could not fill a drinks order correctly, gave warm glasses for cold drinks. Her attitude was appauling. The barman made excuses for not having drinks in stock initially, to give him his due, he later came and apologised for he the manner he spoke to me in. In short a poor standard for a hotel wigh such long history in business in kilkenny city.
As the mother of the bride I feel my daughter was hugely let down and wonder if all the attention went go the other wedding party.....lucky them

Spacious, quiet, rooms, with good breakfast and lovely bar/restaurant
Pros:

Central in Kilkenny. Hotel with some history. Our rooms were in a separate building at the back with gardens and exclusive and quiet location. Our rooms are large and all the amenities. From bathtub to bidet. The bed and pillows were comfortable. Hot breakfast are ordered to be served, the pastries and beverages were unlimited.

Cons:

There was a dirty baby sock in the radiator of my room. Makes me question the cleanliness.

Aardig stadje met veel pubs, beetje oubollig, ook de accomodaties.
Pros:

Bar en restaurant, de mooie inrichting.

De badkamer is sterk verouderd. Ontbijjt was ronduit karig en ondermaats!

Der Feuer(fehl)alarm nachts um 4… danach keine Kontrolle o.ä. Nachdem wir im Erdgeschoss untergebracht waren, haben wir darauf verzichtet, im Nachtgewand zu flüchten. Eine Entschuldigung oder zumindest Erklärung am nächsten Morgen wäre aufgrund der nachts fehlenden Erholung durchaus angebracht gewesen…
