Splendida notte a Flåm!
Pros:

L'albergo si trova in posizione eccezionale. La struttura è grande e molto "calda".
la hall è bellissima con vetrate sul fiordo. Le camere, anche se un pochino datate sono molto accoglienti.e pulite.
Lo staff è molto cordiale simpatico e preparato.
La colazione a buffet è ricca di svariate tipologie di cibi (salati e dolci) e bevande.
Super consigliato!

lovely hotel
Pros:

just a short walk from the train rail and cruise port, and also the amazing views from our room (we had a large window overlooking the lake). there was also a viewpoint from the hotel which can access view of the fjord and the lake after climbing the winding stairs

Pros:

가족 모두가 대만족했던 숙소입니다. 오래된 호텔이지만 직원들이 정말 친절하고, 숙소에서 바라보는 플롬의 경치가 정말 예술이고요. 숙소는 깨끗하고 가구도 잘 정리되어있어요. 플롬역에서도, 유람선 승선하는 곳에서도 가깝고요.

Cons:

조식은 한국인들 입맛에는 조금 아쉬워요. 발코니 객실의 발코니는 관리가 좀 안된 느낌입니다.

Perfect location and wonderful staff!
Pros:

I loved the breakfast in the morning but wish it was until 11 so we don’t have to be rushed out. I loved the location of the hotel and the staff was super wonderful!

Decent lodging, but run like an assembly line by a local train/hotel/ferry near-monopoly
Pros:

Great location for the fjord tour the next morning. The rooms were not particularly fancy but clean. Amenities were scarce and cheap, such as only a single combined shampoo/body wash dispenser in the shower rather than the usual triumvirate of conditioner/shampoo/body wash.

A bit expensive even by Norwegian standards, but we knew that going in. so no surprises there.

The key to understanding your probable experience and your utter lack of leverage is to understand that the hotel and the tour boat you probably came to travel on the next morning are both owned by Norway's Best, which also has an interest in the Flambahn, the only railway connection to Flam.

Cons:

This hotel is where I first encountered the RENTAL UMBRELLA racket, probably the most customer unfriendly thing a hotel can do.

All in all I got the impression that the Fretheim is pretty much exactly what it is - a near monopoly on convenient lodging in easy walking distance from both the Flambahn train and the ferry, and they effectively utilize this leverage in all aspects, including upselling you on their buffet dinner as you register and pretending to know nothing about bus options from the ferry terminus to the nearest train station while steering tourists to their own buses.

To add insult to injury their buffet dinner was pretty appalling. OK, it's Norway, and food is astronomical, but for over $82/person before beverages with a minimal tip included, it should have been at least a good buffet. It was at best mediocre, with only vaguely warm hot entrees, some offerings clearly not quite fresh, and a general lack of polish that one should expect for such a price.

The room was adequate, nice to have a tub in the room, and the view was spectular!
Pros:

Very convenient to train station, nice older building, all of the tall windows in lobby and restaurant facing the fyjords, great selection of food at the buffet.

Cons:

A touch of food poisioning after dinner on our second night...not sure what itwas, but both my husband and I were affected. We had already paid in full so no compensation was offered.
