Good hotel but expensive for what it is

Nothing wrong with the hotel but over priced. Probably due to lack of competition.. Night we were there the restaurant only offered a fixed price (expensive) menu. Ironically we went to the other hotel in Flam to eat.

Location, next to the train station, and nice view

The only point to note is that there was an unpleasant smell in the corridor on the way to the room, which affected the first impression.

What a great location !
Pros:

What a great location ! Staff was nice, clean room. We were staying in the old portion of the hotel, the charm is really the antique look. The location is perfect near the fjord, you have to get the hot sauna close by and jump in the cold fjord during the winter. Really cozy lobby, had a few drinks near the fireplace. Everything around the hotel is for you to relax and have a good time.

The beds could be more confortable.

It’s just Norway coming from Australia food is super expensive you really have to be careful for two people nothing fancy $125 Syd dollars everywhere

Pros:

The location of the hotel is convenient. Housekeeping was prompt and quick in cleaning the room. I did not have to wait for housekeeping to clean the room which is common in most hotels.
