Luxurious bedroom, everything you could need
Mean portions, not very appetizing. Served eggs benedict, just 1 egg on an untoasted cold muffin, when complained not offered an alternative. Muesli and yoghurt, appeared to be no better than supermarket cheap muesli and no additional seeds or grains
Overall very disappointing experience, it was the worst hotel we have ever stayed at, we felt we'd been hoodwinked into believing this was a luxury hotel, as per the website. Also we are very dubious about some of the good reviews and has left us wondering if they are fake. The hotel has been advertised to give impression of a luxury hotel, and is not as it appears on the website, there is no conservatory (guess this was removed years ago), we can only assume the owners are using photos from the past, when the hotel was a luxury hotel. We would say it was more on a par with budget YHA accommodation. There was no atmosphere, we didn't meet any other guests in our week stay. Our first floor room (suite) was a good size, clean and dog friendly, which was the only bonus, but the decor was extremely dated as was bathroom fittings, peeling wallpaper, lots of mold in shower, not all lights in bathroom working, unable to open locked windows with window key provided, room was thus very warm, no desk for use of laptop, even though it was a suite, make-do repairs (noticeably unmatching knobs on cupboard doors). The hotel is in dire need of a refurbishment. Given the poor breakfasts we decided to eat at the Pierhouse and the Old Inn. If the price had been half of what we had paid then we could have lived with that.
Cute and comfortable. Lovely breakfast included
Mooie ligging.
Verouderd hotel. Doorgezakt bed.
Stoelen restaurant zaten niet lekker.
De ontvangst was erg goed, de kamer was erg mooi en schoon
Niets
Beautiful location, cute little village and nice walks from the hotel possible. Excellent service, amazing breakfast.
Location.
Shabby
Lovely comfortable room, great food, friendly staff
Everything.
Room lovely and surprised to have a balcony this time.
Dining room lovely, with lovely view across the water.
No
Cosy and clean
Location near the ferry
Dudnt feel food eg. Steak wasn't good value for money. Dining area bit dated and could do with echoing sea with interior advice. . Sale of art around the venue spoiled the look of the place and made it look cheaper..
I like the location overlooking the Morvern hills, Kingairloch, Loch Linnhe and all that. Looks are not everything
I felt that the place was a bit tired and in need of modernizing. I last stayed there in the 1990s and it looked like not much had been done to the place aside from changing the dining room furniture (which was a bit tacky too). The windows in our rooms would not open, the ceiling lights flickered or did not work (check the one above the bath). I was expecting more and had to express my disappointment to my friends as I had recommeneded we stay there.
Nice view and garden, good food, nice service.
The carpet room 8 is too old and stained .
The price of the room is rather high compared to the standing of the hotel. The art on the walls is mostly crap, sorry for my French.
Friendly Staff
Rather dated and although overlooking water, there was no view from the public areas.
Location, breakfast.
Dinner menu too fancy
Breakfast
Room a liitle tired
