Food and wine
Property seems unfinished
Staff and food wonderful! Helpful with transportation arrangements. Beautiful location.
Frequent dependable bus service.
Taxi pickup right at Castle was dependable and reasonable.
Room was little musty smelling as castle was old.So to be expected.
Need to use bus or taxi to get to downtown Stirling.
Bit of a a walk to bus. Downhill leaving but uphill returning.
The barman also covering reception, dining etc very nice chap and as helpful as he could be
Nearby walks
Bed springy and unsupportive
Smoke wafting through window
Sticky sweets on furniture room not fully cleaned
Confetti on floor
Long waits for service
Not enough staff and only 1 cheerful, helpful
Lite slitet.
Très beau château avec chambre original
Un peu cher
The room was great - nicely furnished, spacious and comfortable.
The general interior the hotel was ok but a bit tired and needs upgrading. Some of the castle themed fittings and decorative order all looked rather budget level including the bar - leaning towards hostel ambience rather than hotel. Floors are creaky and noisy. The location is Ok, nice trees, but not great on the edge of a very bland town.
Super leuke tijd gehad
It was a castle, no brainer
First off it was a castle. It was up on a hill and its gated. We felt very safe. The grounds were adorable. Plenty of parking. Gorgeous place to drive up to.
Nothing. We loved it all.
Lovely castle which is quite stunning to see on arrival
Only saw one member of staff from arrival to bedtime. He did his best but seemed to be doing everything.
Unfortunately to the evening meal and menu were very poor. My husbands fish was overcooked and appeared to have been kept under a hot lamp for hours. The dining room tables were not clean either. It is a shame because this hotel has so much potential but definitely needs a revamped dining experience!!
The view of the area, and convenience to area sites.
Nothing negative.
