The staff were a delight. It was great to have access to everything right in the hotel: food, drinks, lounge area, etc.
The bed was not very comfortable and the room could have used a little refreshing of paint in areas, curtains repaired at top and the floors were very "creaky". The grounds were a bit unkept.
Everything! Staff amazing especially Josh he was welcoming and informative
Let behind am item and was kind enough to send to me. Gone way and beyond
Little disappointed with restaurant because had such amazing reviews by others. Food ok if didn’t want to Stirling
Beautiful setting, staff were very helpful and welcoming.
No lift
Amazing place.
I am a sucker for a hotel that looks like a castle and for one where I can go for a walk before dinner; this hotel delivers on both fronts. (It is clearly a Victorian fake castle; it was built in the 1890s and was a ruin in the 1960s; the interior is pretty modern.) Breakfast was at usual hotel standard; dinner was very good. Steaks are expensive at full price, but are 50% off if you are over 60. Staff were all nice and polite. Room was large and comfortable; TV and WiFi both worked fine. Bar area has some comfy armchairs to lounge in. No problem with parking. Hallways are dark with lights on sensors; you can shout "Lumos" as you walk along and imagine you are Harry Potter.
Room had a couple of maintenance issues. I meant to report these on checkout but they didn't have anyone on duty; checkout was by dropping your keys in a box. (I do understand that staff costs are a real problem for hotels these days.)
Cooling fan which was excellent!
Tattie furniture, curtain & uncomfortable matress (sorry)
Carpet looked like it could do with a clean
No herbal teas on offer in room.
Tolle Lage Nähe Stirling. Super schönes, kleines Schloss, top renoviert
It was a castle (which was super cool)! Also, the staff were AMAZING! Bartender/waiter/desk clerk John was a standout not only of this stay, but of our whole trip to Scotland. Room was spacious and matched the photos. There were snacks and nice toiletries included as well.
Mattress was a bit lumpy. I think a mattress pad would have gone a long way.
Bedienung sehr unaufmerksam ( abends ) . Einfach Getränke vergessen.
Good location. Quiet.
Not enough staff. Very ordinary room. No lift (we were on the second floor). Basic furniture. Lack of menu choices. Wines limited.
The room was exceptional, very comfortable four poster bed and two leather sofas. The views from our room were amazing.
The staff were fantastic and looked after us during our visit, breakfast was excellent and great value.
Nothing stands out as a negative.
Great location. Lovely hotel with super helpful and friendly staff
Lovely location and friendly staff
Nice location. Very good restaurant.
Sehr coole Schloss-Atmosphäre, von aussen ein Märchenschloss ! Sehr gute Küche, leckeres Frühstück. Sehr freundliches Personal!
