Pros:

Big rooms, bit of character. Nice long area and games room. Food in the restaurant was great too

Cons:

Creaky floors, people above us walked around from 4am. Unbelievably hot, had to put a fan on and window open when 3 degrees outside.

Nettes Castle und freundliches Personal. Kleine Bar zur Unterhaltung.Essen war gut, Frühstück nicht so.

we have stayed before - i had forgotten breakfast not included so added £25 to stay

situation - quiet area good parking and good walks nearby

Cons:

Room 10 - avoid ! if anyone staying directly above Can here evry step on squeaky floor boards - kept us awake and woke us up

External view, pleasant staff

Cons:

Food quality was beyond appalling which is very sad for a venue with so much potential. It was disrespectful of the management to expect guests to eat such food, poorly cooked and presented.

Needs a lot of love.
Pros:

The grandure of the building from the outside

Cons:

The place seemed understaffed and underresorced. It felt like staying in a grand hotel that had had most of its furniture and fittings removed before demolition.
So much unrealised potential.

És veritat que el terra fa molt soroll, però crec forma part de l'encant de dormir en un castell.
A la dutxa havies de vigilar perquè la goma de la mampara estava desenganxada i sortia aigua. També relliscava molt, el meu fill petit va caure.

Not worth the money

Cons:

Run down, velux shutter in bedroom didn’t work, up or down, didn’t clean the bathroom. Breakfast was £20 p/p, it was shockingly basic and poor quality. Coffee machine was broken, never repaired, alternative was instant coffee, for £20 p/p!!! Poor selection and quality of food at very high prices, eat better at at premier inn!

Short of expectation but with good food and friendly staff.
Pros:

It was a nice setting and the thought of staying in a castle was idyllic. The room was large. I mentioned my husband’s birthday was the next day and they made the effort to seat us at a special table and bring a surprise desert with a candle and sing. That’s was anice.

Cons:

It’s understandable that this is a historic building and you cannot add an elevator but the hotel did not provide assistance with heavy baggage up two flights of stairs and we are not young. Also, the lighting is quite dim, especially in the bathroom where it was very difficult to see. They had also placed an extra bed in our room which took up space and was not needed.

Excellent value plus romance.
Pros:

A very good value for an affordable castle experience. Wonderful breakfast with a beautiful view. Comfortable and spacious rooms, very clean. Highly recommend for a family excursion to Stirling.

Cons:

Toilet seat and pedestal moved when you sat on it and shower temperature either cot or very hot.
