GALA Hotel Boutique

Lovely spot! Perfect location in Colonia Americana. Room was very comfortable and staff was lovely! Breakfast the first day was delicious! Unfortunately, the kitchen had an issue the next days but there were so many wonderful places nearby it wasn’t an issue. We stayed on the ground floor which was a little noisy (as expected anywhere) but nothing a noise app couldn’t resolve.

Lovely little quiet boutique hotel. Nicely located near several nice restaurants. The hotel is an old colonial and excellent. Loved the showers! Staff is kind. I will definitely stay there on my return to Guadalara.

We just loved everything about this hotel. So peaceful and beautiful decoration. The room was amazing and the staff very helpful. We will stay there again when we come back.

Good location, but mediocre hotel. Not terribly clean or well-maintained, awkwardly configured rooms (e.g. shower in the middle of the room), lacking some basic modern amenities, and built on top of a restaurant that blasts dance music during the breakfast hour.

Has the feel of a place trying to be chic and stylish, but that don’t quite finish the renovation.

The staff are all wonderful and speak very good English. They bring a French press coffe to your room in the morning. The breakfast included from the cafe Herva downstairs was very good. The hotel is an old mansion, restored to a degree and turned into a hotel. They did a fine job but don’t expect everything to be crisp and sharp, it’s an old, historic building. Although I had no problem, the upper rooms may be preferable. The two rooms on the first floor are just feet away from the front desk in the foyer and, depending, may not feel very private as sounds do transfer from foyer to room and back. That said, night shift was very, very quiet and did not disturb me. AC was great and appreciated as it got warm during the day and this room had no operable windows. Overall a very pleasant and sound experience. I would stay again when visiting Colonia Americana.

Excellent location and accommodations. Head check-in clerk was helpful and fluent in English. Enjoyed free breakfast at the hotel every morning. Muy delicioso.

The hotel has a good location. However, there are no phones in the rooms to contact the front desk, which I find inadequate. One morning we didn’t have hot water, which was very inconvenient. Additionally, the hotel does not offer room service, which I also believe should be improved. On the positive side, the staff was friendly and attentive.

Very cute boutique hotel in Guadalajara. Easily walk to delicious restaurants and good bars. Friendly staff and nice drink options at the bar. Would stay here again.

We stayed there for a week; everything went smoothly. Our only complaint is the taxi recommendation to go to another town. We suffered the whole round trip without A/C on a hot day, plus the driver came with a sick boy( they aren't going to use that guy anymore!).
Our room was clean and tidy, the staff were kind, the breakfast was delicious, and it was quiet. We are happy that we stayed there.

Great service

The hotel is beautiful and walking distance to cafes, restaurants and bars in trendy Colonia Americana. The staff was incredibly kind and helpful, and made recommendations to restaurants nearby. I had my first meal at a small Argentinian restaurant a block away when I arrived late Friday evening, which served an excellent margarita and happened to have live music the evening I arrived. I highly recommend staying at the Gala Hotel Boutique while in Guadalajara.

Excellent place. Nicely decorated. Pool is very comforting and relaxing. Room is comfortable, we enjoyed the bathtub a lot. Staff Is very friendly and helpful . Pillows were too thick and hard would be better some softer pillows. Thanks a lot

Everything was great besides the Ac not working

Fantastic! This ancient building has been delightfully and comfortably updated, and we enjoyed our 2-night stay. The room had high ceilings, a sweet plate of chocolates to greet us, the softest sheets I've ever slept in, and thick robes. The hotel staff was so amazingly nice, and the included breakfast was delicious. To top it off, we had wonderful massages in the spa, followed by peppermint tea by the hot tub while the nesting doves coo'd in the trees. The location in Colonia Americano was perfect - quiet, but close enough to El Centro to be an easy walk. A perfect stay in Guadalajara!

The property had a nice design and restaurant inside to eat a nice breakfast or brunch, close enough to night life district and historic cathedrals
