Toilet is way too low to the floor! Seriously, and as an elderly person I found that such a low position for using it absolutely uncomfortable. At least install a bar next to it so a person can manage to stand back up with at least a bit of dignity. That one thing about my room pretty much ruined my stay at Aloft.
I liked the room layout and the lobby. Very modern
First off there WiFi was “spotty” the whole stay. Looking at reviews, this has been going on for a month now. To make it up they gave us free breakfast which wasn’t anything nice. The room looked dirty, stains on the carpet and stains on the bed spread.
Clean and good location
The ice machine was broken, the WiFi and streaming services were unavailable, and the breakfast did not look appetizing at all. The cleaning crew did not make it to our floor until 2-3p, we had been out all morning and it would’ve been nice to have had the room cleaned before we returned after lunch.
Perfect location and great staffing.
Half of my room didn't have power (the TV and some outlets). Because of the issue with the room, they changed my room to a king-size room, even though my reservation was for two queen-size beds. The hotel provided an air mattress because there were no rooms with two queen-size beds available the next day. Since the streaming service wasn't working, they offered us free breakfast. The breakfast was okay!
Definitely the location and friendly staff. They told us the Internet was having issues so we were given free breakfast, which I thought was a great compromise.
Are air conditioner was pre-set and with the setting sun the room was fairly warm. There was really nothing they could do about it.
Great location
We stayed two nights, one full day. The hotel is located fairly conveniently off I-80, close to a trendy area for dining options. This hotel is 'tech-forward', I suppose. The vibe is modern, trendy. Our room's layout was non-traditional, as were the furnishings and decor, although it was pleasant and interesting, The good: A walk-in shower with soap and shampoo dispensers. Decor was original and interesting. A good light blocking curtain. Large, lighted mirror. Room was quiet except for significant noise of toilet flushing from next room. They prepare coffee in a space off the entrance in the morning. The bad: the desk clerk when we checked in displayed obvious disinterest. We had to ask for a second key card. No one told us that there is a switch inside the door that controls outlets and light on either side of the bed. After we figured that out, the light turned on, but the outlets still didn't work. Towels were stingy. They didn't do maid service next day. We had to ask for fresh towels, which were cheerfully delivered. Towel quality is about like Motel 6. The toilet paper seems to be some odd, thin, fragile organic concoction.
Water pressure for showers was non existent. Room was a bit smaller than photos implied. Parts of the place looked a little tired and worn.
We did not try the breakfast
Clean and comfortable. The AC worked well.
Nothing. It was great.
Love this modern sleek hotel with creative design and spacious comfort! We had a booth style table in room that was comfortable to sit at even for my 6'1" husband!! The lobby had great seating, bar and games. The location was fantastic to walk to tasty trendy restaurants and bakeries nearby. We LOVED our stay as it was also close to hospital and centrally located with a short drive to the Market downtown. Highly recommend!! The price point was fair. We loved eating at Saffron and the deli close by had a fair breakfast sandwich. Check out the Kitchen Table for farm to table breakfast near the Market downtown!
The shower was poorly designed. The whole bathroom flooded when taking a shower because the trim didn’t keep the water in shower part. And the shower head wouldn’t sit in the holder right so we had to hold the shower head the whole time. Also, the lamps didn’t work by the bed.
