The Leela Palace Chennai

We had an excellent stay at this hotel, thanks to the outstanding service from all the staff. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with a warm welcome and genuine hospitality that made us feel at home.

The rooms were spacious and comfortable, with a lovely view of the ocean. However, the bathroom could use a little more attention to maintenance — for example, the shower and toilet doors could close more smoothly, and the blinds could be dusted more regularly.

The highlight of our stay was without doubt the restaurant. The food selection and quality were exceptional, and the service was attentive and personal.


We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and will definitely return.

Only the the lobby looks impressive.. Front desk staff spoke very professional.. but twisted the words when what was offered to me.. food was good at breakfast and Chinese restaurant..

Good

1). I have booked Sea facing room, first they have allotted room in 1st floor, though the request was in higher floor stating property is full sold out, later there was no faucet in the wash room which is a basic hygiene.

2) there was no hand wash in the wash rooms


3) Then they have changed to 4th Floor after complaint

4) Breakfast venue was not fixed due to high occupancy, keeps on changing the venue

Overall exp was pathetic and not worth for money

Fabulous place to stay in Chennai. Nice pool and gym. Buffet meals very good but only value if you are hungry. Staff very good but some delays on ordering hot drinks in the lounge. Booked taxi to airport, this was an excellent service for those unused to India.

Leela palace is quite a luxurious and grand property. Maintenance could be better. Loved the breakfast especially the South Indian spread, dosa, idlis, chutney. Very friendly staff.

After coming from the Taj Mahal in Delhi, this was certainly a disappointment. They seem to cater to a lot of weddings that has become the priority over regular room guests.
I was placed on a floor that was sold out to a wedding group, the wedding group was playing loud music the whole night, intoxicated and smoking weed which was shocking.
My kids were sleeping and we were unable to sleep, the hotel wanted to us to move to another room which was we really didn’t want to do at 2am with the kids asleep but we have to give in since they party was not endings anytime soon..
I requested a call back from a manager the next day who reached out in the evening and promised to reach out via WhatsApp to provide a free dinner for the trouble.
That also never happened and truthfully we were ok not having to go back to that Leela. The kids were so excited to come here to get the 5 star experience and we all left disappointed.

Fantastic stay great staff specially the Club lounge staff I have no hesitation to try this hotter any one.

The staff and service was excellent. The room was great. Food was outstanding. Only grievance was that the water when you first opened the tap or shower had a foul smell. You have to lwt the water run for a couple of minutes before the smell goes away.

I love the hotel and staff are nice and kind.
But breakfast make me feel not happy because I can't find any chicken to eat , I only see vegetarian Menu. But the dinner it's great Very different from breakfast.

Absolutely amazing in every possible way. Staff was very friendly, grounds were beautiful, and service was top notch. They even assigned me a butler during my stay which was so helpful. Shout out to Karthik (butler), Gloria, Jyoti, and Preeti for going above and beyond expectations. Ruksana at breakfast was super sweet as well. Will only stay at the Leela next time in Chennai. Recommend it highly!

Fabulous Service and Staff at the property. Stayed 10 days and had such a smooth stay with great attentiveness.

My whole family loved it. The rooms were immaculate with the view of the sea. The breakfast, room service and restaurants were all exceptional. Hosted a dinner at the Spectra Restaurant and the service was amazing. All the staff were professional and prompt, making our trip very memorable. Hope to stay at the Leela Palace Hotel when I come to India again in the future.
