Hotel was nice , food options decent. Staff was very friendly.
Conference rooms were VERY cold. Room Temp was set at 56 degrees. We tried to change it but it did nothing. Reported to staff but nothing changed from day to day. It was so cold you could concentrate on the Lectures that were being given as you were focused on your hands,feet being cold and your nose running.

The service and courtesy provided by the front desk is top notch. They made me feel like I am expected and have everything ready. Samantha was so nice to show me the directions by walking me through the places I want to go.
This hotel was a savior on our trip to Austin for a wedding. We booked the Line to stay for our trip. It was a horrible experience. Booked Marriott to save the day as it was right across the street. I called the hotel to see if any way possible to check in early as we were needing to exit the current hotel we were in. Lilly answered and went above and beyond to take care of me immediately. She offered to get approval for early check in. Waved early check in fee and checked on me numerous times through out the visit to ensure we were doing good! I could have asked for better customer service. Wonderful hotel. Wonderful service. Wonderful amenities.
I am shocked that I paid $500 for a room to specifically sleep in. I booked a king bed as always. The staff here thinks that an upgrade to a queen bed and a sunken couch. I never reserve or sleep in a queen bed! I am 6' tall. I came here to see a concert and didn't notice until late. I got no sleep. My back hurts as I had 4 prior back surgeries. The front desk said "sorry, all I can do is give you a free lunch." The front desk said they can't credit the room because it was locked and pre paid. I was understanding. I asked her if she could credit some of the extras we bought. She did have control over that. She said "absolutely not." I have stayed at the Marriott all over the world and this was the worst hotel in the world! A motel would have been much better. Do not stay here. It is not worth any money you pay for it.

I had a very good work stay at the Marriott Austin Downtown. The service was excellent, especially the concierge team, who kindly helped store my luggage when my room was not yet ready and I needed to head straight to work. The fitness center was also great—new, well maintained, and easy to use. I also appreciated the M Club, which was clean, well stocked, and quiet enough to sit down and catch up on emails. Overall, a smooth and comfortable stay for business travel.
