It’s a great choice in the heart of Austin, just a 2-minute walk to Sixth Street, and excellent value for money.
Pros:

The room was clean and modern, and staying on the 27th floor gave us an unobstructed view.

The rooftop garden and the outdoor pool were a great touch.

Cons:

We paid extra for breakfast, but it was not enough - limited options and gone quickly. Wouldn’t recommend it.

No free parking available and valet parking is expensive.

Pros:

The hotel, room, and food was good

Cons:

Most of the staff was great. Some where not and made it hard for us to get the benefits described on our reservation.

Beautiful hotel, but disappointing value and too many hidden fees for a Marriott experience.
Pros:

The hotel is beautiful, modern, and in a great downtown location. The staff was polite, and the overall design and public areas were impressive. We chose Marriott to celebrate my wife’s birthday because we expected a premium experience.

Cons:

Unfortunately, the experience did not match our expectations. We felt that too many extra charges were hidden in the fine print. The free parking was not a realistic option, so we had to pay $69 per day for valet parking. The breakfast was also misleading. The booking stated that breakfast was included, but in reality it was not. We had to ask for breakfast vouchers at the front desk, each voucher was worth only $25 per person, and although we were a family of four, we were told that only two vouchers were included. This was very disappointing and not what we expected when booking a room advertised with breakfast included. We were also automatically charged a daily destination fee that was never clearly explained. Overall, we left feeling that the hotel focused more on additional fees than on providing great guest value.

My day was amazing. My room was beautiful. The views that I had were absolutely amazing and I went there on a solo trip
Pros:

I loved the rooftop bar and restaurant. I just wish that they stayed open a little bit longer.

Cons:

I have no complaints. Everything was a 10 out of 10.

Personal Information Stolen
Pros:

I would strongly advise anyone staying at this hotel to closely monitor their financial accounts after their visit. Shortly after my stay, my credit card information and email address were compromised. What is especially concerning is that several of my coworkers experienced the same issue after staying at this property.

While I cannot say with certainty where the information was obtained, the fact that multiple people from the same group experienced similar problems after staying here is alarming. I recommend checking your credit card statements carefully and being alert for suspicious emails or unauthorized activity after your visit.

I hope hotel management takes these reports seriously, investigates the matter thoroughly, and strengthens its data security practices to protect future guests.

Just Fine
Pros:

Overall ok but not great. Lobby and location are great, and their little necessities store is super convenient. The room was pretty small but also pretty clean, the only thing I noticed was some unsightly splattered stain on the curtain but I do have high cleanliness standards. We landed early and requested early check-in which they wouldn't do over the phone, but they did have a room ready for us when we got there in person. One thing to note is an employee told us there is construction next door that is a roughly 5 year project, and if you need a room with 2 beds you will be facing that construction. I heard it throughout the day but it wasn't anything crazy. During our stay we needed something to stay frozen, and while staff did accommodate by taking our items to their freezer, our items weren't actually frozen when we got back so it doesn't seem like the temperature is right - something to keep in mind if you are traveling w/something that requires freezing. Additionally, on the first night we called the front desk for 2 extra blankets and were told they'd be right up. After 30 minutes with no blankets, we phoned again, but this time nobody answered the phone. We went to the front desk and they told us housekeeping would be right up. We expressed concern given that we had already been told that and then waited 30 min and asked if they could get us the blankets and bring them to the desk right then, and they would not. Housekeeping did eventually get up to our room, but we were only delivered 1 blanket. So overall the hotel was just fine but I wasn't overly impressed for the price. The towels were pretty thin and scratchy to us so it was little stuff like that but I think for the extra $50 or $100 I'd book at the Omni next time.
