Une belle escapade en amoureux.
Pros:

Joli buffet pour le petit déjeuner ,un peu cher( 30.-)pour des résidents comme nous qui ne mangeons pas en outrance .Cela fait cher pour 2 œufs au plat mais correct pour du saumon.

Cons:

Compliqué l'éclairage dans les chambres des combles.

Wish we'd stayed longer
Pros:

We were greeted with a warm and friendly welcome, the staff is very helpful and super efficient. The hotel is ideally located, close to public transport and a short walk from most of the center town attractions, but quiet. The rooms are spacious (incl. bathroom) and comfortable. Well heated (and insulated) you can easily set the room temperature to match your taste, you'll find power outlets close to the bed head, free tea, Nespresso coffee and sparkling water on the landing, as well as an assortment of fruit. Good lighting in the room and bathroom. All appliances worked fine, the shower had good pressure. The place is spotless. Be it the room, bathroom, corridors, stairs, you name it. Fast and reliable Wi-Fi speeds throughout the hotel. We had a lovely stay, and we'll make sure to stay there next time we're back in Basel. A+++

Freundliches Stadthotel mit stilvoller Gastronomie

Ob an der Bar oder an der Réception: Das Personal zeichnet sich durch eine herzliche, zuvorkommende Art aus. Das Volkshaus ist ein sympathisches und schönes Hotel, das für den dreitägigen Business-Tripp rundum perfekt war. Coole Kaffee- und Teestation auf der Etage

Cons:

Glücklicherweise konnten wir unkompliziert das Zimmer wechseln, da das erste nicht optimal sauber war und uns nicht zugesagt hatte.

Een aanrader om Basel vanuit deze locatie te ontdekken.
Pros:

Centrale locatie, ruime kamer, koffie en thee faciliteiten inbegrepen en zeer vriendelijke ontvangst.

Cons:

Gehorig met bevoorrading van omliggende panden en mensen die langs liepen. De kamer is wat donker.

Very noisy, avoid if you want a good night’s sleep

Room was comfortable and clean

Cons:

At the back of the hotel is a courtyard from which the noise is unbearable. A group of 30-40 business people decided to have a party in the courtyard which went on until about 3:30am leading to all the guests in rooms at the back of the hotel being unable to sleep, and the hotel seemingly being unable to intervene. Many guests were making complaints in the morning.

Centraal gelegen, originele moderne inrichting, ruime en comfortabele kamers. Vriendelijk personeel. Parking vlakbij. Uitstekend ontbijt.

Cons:

Verlichting in de kamer was ingewikkeld aan en uit schakelen.
