Good location. Minimalist. Linen was If good ugali tu and fresh.
Room was Not very Clean. A lttle musty.
Room was very uncomfortable . You had to Go over a wooden platform tk get to the other side of the Bed into the bathroom. Not well maintained . Floor Lamp switch had no end pull. Room door was hard to manage and made of steel sheet. Handles could be of better quality.
Stairs to the upper deck too steel and dark.
A little pretentious.
Es un pequeño hotel precioso y acogedor. Bien situado. Precio calidad excelente.
Beautifully decorated. The hotel always smelled amazing between the incense and fresh pine leaves hanging as Christmas decorations. The roof deck and Cantanita next door were great to relax at. Amazing walkable location in the heart of Oaxaca.
Good bed. Good location. Attractive design.
Tiny shower. Needs paint. No space to put anything. No iron to iron clothes for going out. No end tables. If you touch stairway wall hands are black. Junior suite tiny.
The hotel is in a gorgeous courtyard building, with unique art works and design. There’s a cool terrace with a small dipping pool and restaurant. The bedroom overall is a good size.
The hotel is on a noisy street, if you live in a busy city this won’t matter but you will hear traffic through the night. The bathroom is very small. The area is quite central meaning it’s easy to get everywhere from, but the immediate surrounding streets have a busy down town feel.
I don't like the hotel, the food was bad, the room haven't windows, it's dark.
Unfortunately , the breakfast was not very good. Kitchen needs improvement ! Fruits were good and fresh, egg and cheese options were not great, dry and un tasteful.
The bar upstairs was empty all the time , it could have been made it a bit more festive there. Alos, food options were not great given the the city is amazing for food!!!!!

Very small bathroom/shower
We loved the: 1) location of the hotel - could not ask for a better location, 2) cleanliness of the rooms and how large our family suite was, 3) vibes of the hotel
Overpriced. It's absolutely insane paying what I pay for a Four Seasons and not having the same level of service or amenities. We stayed during Dia de Muertos weekend and paid around $750/night. There's no way this hotel is worth such a high price. Service is far from it. If I had paid $150/night then it would be the best stay overall.
The staff was so friendly and helpful, and the hotel is in a great location. I loved almost everything about this hotel except the bathroom. The shower was very small and the shower door opened inwards, making it very uncomfortable to get in (and I’m a pretty small person). Also, there’s not a lot of space for storage. This room would be fine for someone traveling solo, but difficult for two people who are staying more than one night. As I mentioned, service was amazing, the room design is just not my taste.
Amazing place, amazing staff, amazing location. I highly recommend for people who’ll like luxury vacations that are not run-of-the-mill.
Nothing
Staff was friendly. Perfect location less than 2 blocks from Zócalo. Clean and comfortable rooms. Loved the rooftop terrace and pool very peaceful. I would stay here again. I leave Oaxaca so relaxed.
Let me start by saying this is a beautiful hotel with amazing and friendly staff. We would absolutely stay here again if we could have avoided a “routine” incident.
We asked the hotel to set up a driver/guide for a day of excursions. The company they used did not physically have the appropriate license to drive tourists around town. We were pulled over by the police. Needless to say a scary experience. Ultimately the driver was able to produce the proper paperwork after an hour on the side of the road. I was told this is “routine” but there was certainly nothing routine about it.
Lesson learned…confirm the hotel is using a legitimate company with the appropriate paperwork in hand.
Certainly not the hotels fault that the company did not physically have the paperwork, but they certainly could have confirmed everything was taken cared of. The hotel was apologetic for the incident, but it did not change the fact that we were pulled over in a foreign country and questioned by the police.
My wife and i stayed at this hotel for 5 nights. Our goal was to be in the center and walking distance to many great places and restaurants in Oaxaca Centro.
I have to say, that we were so happy with this hotel. It is perfect located. 2 minutes from the main plaza (zocalo), 3 minutes from the mercados, and walking distance from many great restaurants. You step out of the door and you are in the middle of the action. But i have to say the rooms are super quiet.
The hotel staff is super friendly and helpful. They always greet you with a smile.
The hotel is a mix between modern and traditional. The design is amazing. There is a great restaurant on too of the hotel and a bar on the ground floor.
There were only minor flaws in the room, that i wanted to point out. (I also mentioned it to the hotel staff, so they can fix it).
We often had no water pressure in the shower and the hot water comes and goes. For a hotel of this price class, they should have good water pressure and always hot water.
Our AC (minisplit) was super loud. It made a wind noise.
The bed matress is on a wood base. But it slides super easy on that base. So sometimes it slipped away from the wall or to a side.
But all in all this hotel is perfect for a city trip.
