All round lovely. I shall be returning.
Pros:

I loved the size of the hotel. That it sits within the Ebony Place complex (cinema, restaurants etc) was a bonus. The staff were extremely friendly and polite. The call to breakfast was a commendable intentional personal touch and the food was good.

Cons:

The night that there was an event in one of the restaurants which carried on until 5am and I did not sleep a wink. I was not notified of the event. However, once management became aware of what happened they took swift action to apologise, made assurances that it would not happen again. Offered to move me to another room which I declined since it would not happen again. I was offered complimentary tickets to the Cinema and Nautica Beach Resort. I could have gotten more had I insisted but I am note greedy :). Their customer care is topnotch! I pray they maintain it.

Pros:

Our stay at White Orchid was very pleasant. The rooms are comfortable, but what really stood out was the staff. Everyone was kind, attentive, and always willing to help.

We would especially like to thank Mercy, who was incredibly friendly and made us feel very welcome throughout our stay.

If we return to Nigeria, we would definitely stay here again.

Pros:

The staff especially the front desk Mercy and tour guard Ikene were awesome. The facility was great especially the resort area (Ebony place) but food is extremely expensive.

Amazing holiday at the White Orchid - felt like home away from home.
Pros:

I loved the decor and facilities at the White Orchid hotel, this was my second stay and I enjoyed it even better than the first time as we got the superior deluxe suite, deluxe suite and a free upgrade to a standard deluxe room. My family and I enjoyed the rooms so much we kept starting the day later and later to allow us veg out in the amazing rooms. They had super fast wifi that was stable and a joy to use, we had outside balconies where we could sit out and enjoy the warm sunshine, the breakfast offered was varied and of a high standard for such a boutique hotel and the staff provided such excellent customer service I became firm friends with all of them. I can not wait for my next stay here and have been recommending the White Orchid hotel to everyone I know. Keep up the good work!!!

Good pics but dated and damp smelling hotel

The staff were helpful and friendly

Cons:

The hotel is dated, and smells of mould and damp. My room stunk of damp and there was mould / damp marks all over the ceiling. The air conditioning didn’t work, it was just blowing out air, it cold at all even though the temperature was at the lowest. The bathroom all smelt damp, the air vent was so noisy when you turned on the light that I shower and used the bathroom in the dark due to how noisy it was. I washed to an iron, and the iron that was given to me looked like something that was produced in the 1820’s! It don’t even iron my t-shirt that’s how old it was!! The pictures look fancy but the actual hotel is disgusting! The corridors smelt of damp, the brown carpets smelt, there was damp on the corridor wall! Again the AC in the corridors were not working either!
The breakfast was basic! And you have to pay for water at breakfast which is ridiculous! But juices are free!

Good value for the dollar.
Pros:

It was close to Eko resort and Bamboa bar. The coffee was excellent and available at 6 am fresh.

Cons:

The breakfast buffet was basic. The pool isn’t part of the hotel and is smaller than it looks in the picture.

If you look for a cute luxurious boutique hotel- this is not the right place
Pros:

Overall very friendly personnel
Nice room decor , good mattress and pillow

Cons:

Deluxe room didn’t have a balcony/ terrace as described, room and bed overall very small especially taking into consideration that this is supposedly a five* accommodation
Overall the whole set up / lay out feels absolutely cramped and dark- the roof top terrace of the adjoining Ebony place was unavailable to us on the first night due to a private event
The ( advertised )pool on a fairly nice deck was barely usable- as the deck was filled with tables up to the rim of the pool with 2 loungers squeezed in the furthest corner- no privacy either with dining fully dressed lunch guests
Breakfast was a total disaster, no variety, cold ‘warm’dishes… constantly empty trays, long waiting time for everything, cappuccino or cafe latte at extra costs etc
The food at the Jinja restaurant was mediocre at best and everything totally overpriced ( service nice though)
Last but not least- the room came with a Nespresso machine but no capsules- they had to be purchased at a cost of 2250 Naira! a piece at the restaurant
Overall a far cry from a 5 star hotel!

Do not expect a terrace
Pros:

The staff were very kind.

Cons:

Booked a deluxe room advertised with a terrace. Was told after the booking that its subject to availability. Do not waste your money to get the room with a terrace.

Pros:

Beautiful interiors and really friendly staff. Complimentary fruit platter was most welcome. Lovely tour of the Ebonylife building next door. Enjoyed our stay.

Cons:

Breakfast options could be better as it felt a bit limited, dishes could replenished sooner so it's not empty.

Make sure you tip because these people do their jobs very well
Pros:

The food was great. The staff are great people from the management at the front desk to the room service. When I arrived we had some problems with my booking through the booking.com app but the girl at the front desk took her time to take care of the problem and made sure I was taken care of. I can't complain about any of the employees. They're all great people and very nice and polite. I would stay again if my travels bring me back to Nigeria. I'm very appreciative of the service provided. Make sure you tip the staff because these people do their job very well and people need to show more appreciation for the services provided. Thanks for having me. I appreciate the warm welcome.

I can't really say that I have any complaints. I had a perfectly fine stay.
