There are hotels you visit once, enjoy, and promptly forget. And then there are those that leave you with such a pleasant impression that you find yourself looking for an excuse to return.
White Orchid falls very firmly into the second category!
Having enjoyed my previous stay, I was delighted to find myself back here again. And what a pleasure it is to return somewhere that understands one of the simplest, yet most important, ingredients of good hospitality: making guests feel genuinely welcome.
The staff are an absolute delight. Friendly, approachable and wonderfully accommodating, they create the sort of atmosphere that makes a hotel feel like somewhere you actually want to spend time, rather than simply somewhere you happen to be sleeping.
I particularly appreciated the thoughtful welcome during my earlier visit, including a complimentary drink. It's the sort of small gesture that leaves a disproportionately large impression.
And that's really the secret of White Orchid's appeal. It isn't about extravagant gestures or trying desperately to impress. It's about warmth, friendliness and the pleasure of being made to feel comfortable.
Having stayed in quite a few Lagos hotels now, I've come to appreciate that genuine hospitality is something you cannot manufacture with expensive furnishings or impressive facilities alone.
It comes from people.
And White Orchid has some lovely ones.
Another very enjoyable visit to a hotel that has earned its place on my growing list of Lagos favourites.
I suspect this won't be my last stay!

The property is well secure, it’s a good location and it’s a good enjoying facility and you don’t have to leave the property to enjoy your time and the staffs were exceptional, friendly and professional and very helpful and especially Hikeemat the receptionist, who made us feel sooo welcomed and she was very helpful and the housekeeping is very good and yeah, breakfast was very good

Friendly staff, very clean hotel.
The electricity wasn’t stable. Light kept going off. Breakfast buffet had limited options.
The rooms was super clean and nice , they have an extension that has cinema, lounges, Asian restaurants, African ones too , rooftop bar and lots more , really enjoyed my stay , the staffs were so friendly and helpful, they offered me movie vouchers , which was really nice of them
I can’t seem to find anything I don’t like about the property, maybe I’m easy to please, buh would definitely recommend to friends and family any time any day
The staff was friendly
The property had mould inside the rooms and in the passage, the smell was horrible and the AC wasn’t working in my room, there was also cockroach in my room .I had a booking of 8night there but had to cancel it and checked out the next morning, the refund for the remaining 7 nights was a nightmare and took weeks

Really nice place on Victoria Island. Good location, helpful and friendly staff, good sized, clean room with great shower. Currently undergoing renovation on second and third floors which will mean several more rooms. Highly recommended.
