Great location, excellent value
Pros:

Hotel is centrally located, the staff are amazing, very friendly and polite from the moment we arrived. No lifts so a few steps to the top floors but not too bad. Rooms are clean and comfortable, if a little tired looking. The food we had was very tasty, the only problem was that the restaurant didn't open until 8pm which for us is a little late to eat (being old)

Pros:

Staff incredibly friendly and attentive.
Room was spacious and clean.

Cons:

The location, very central, caused a lot of noise. Not the fault of the hotel though. It was all outside, especially stray dogs continually barking.
Perhaps if you stay longer than 1 night you get used to it.

AMAZING STAY IN O2 hotel. We will not forget

Very nice people. Prices is good for so much quality. Location is very good. Very food Cuisine, perfect chef Cassim and team is perfect.

More a hostel than a hotel
Pros:

It was reasonably clean but def more of a traveller hotel.

Cons:

It was grotty in places. Our sheets weren't that clean. It was quite expensive for what if offered compared to other hotels in Sri Lanka. Also there was a festival with the speaker on a post outside our room. Went on til 2 am! And then started at 7 am.

Pros:

The location is great. Right at the night bars street. Hotel staffs are friendly. The rooms are good in condition, spacious. Hot water available too.

Value for money.
Pros:

Staff were very good and helpful. Rooms were nice. So close to the Main Street.
We didn’t have bf in the hotel. Wanted to try some places in the Main Street.

Get what you pay for
Pros:

Good location, close to restaurants and shops, it’s pretty cheap and cheerful you get what you pay for. Okay for one night but wouldn’t stay any longer.

Cons:

I got overcharged for my booking which they did correct once I mentioned it, however it was very noisy lots of other guests slamming doors, dogs barking, loud music. The room had an odd smell

Room basic, stayed for 4 nights and had to ask on day 3 for the room to be cleaned.

The first night we returned to the hotel at 10pm and the gate was padlocked, we could not access our room. Other guests would be locked into the hotel. Eventually the night porter let us in at 10.45, when the tourist police could locate him. We tried all the three telephone numbers at the hotel and no one answered.

The hotel manager, had an unpleasant manner and no apologies were offered.
