Location was great room was very clean having our pet with us wasn't any trouble staff was very polite and cheerful nothing was to much trouble
In my opinion there was nothing I didn't like or enjoy
Booked this to break our journey home.
It was cheap and as the saying goes, you Only get what you pay for. But on this occasion I came so close to sleeping in my car.
The room which we were meant to have was not presently accessible due to someone working so we were allocated room 32 on the first floor instead. On entering the room we initially thought it was some kind of joke. The ceiling looked like it was ready to fall in at any point. The bed's were on a slant. The whole room was just dirty and the spare pillows were heavily stained to the point I couldn't bring myself to touch them. There wasn't a cat in hells chance we were staying in that room. We went back to reception and asked for another room and after giving our reasons we were given our originally allocated room.
On opening the door we were just praying for it to be better than the last one. While it was a bit better it was still in need of a good clean and a lot of TLC. My wife kept saying it's just one night it's just one night. Yes but it was going to be a long night.
In honesty I wanted to leave but she was tired so we stayed.
Come the evening I don't know what was going on but the noise was ridiculous. Lots of banging of doors and TVs blaring it was just crazy. I came so close to sleeping in my car but finally the noise settled and we managed to get some sleep.
We had booked breakfast but didn't stay for it because to me if the rooms are filthy well that just tells me that the kitchen is also, so I was not going to risk it so we just left.
From the outside this looks like a very nice building but once through the front doors you can see straight away that it is in need of a great deal of updating. And while I appreciate this may he ongoing, there is no excuse for letting a room out that is in such poor condition as is room 32.
And while I know we didn't pay a fortune for the room, we still expect it to be clean and habitable.
Breakfast was freshly cooked to order and excellent.
Nothing to say on this.
Good Free Parking at the Hotel. The manager was very helpful on the first night and ordered a takeaway meal to be delivered to us at the hotel and charged it to our account. very thoughtful. We had a large double room with fridge and TV
Room 7 which had recently been refurbished.
Second morning breakfast my wife asked for more butter for her toast. The server came back with an open tub of Margarine dropped it on the table and said we have ran out of butter this is all we have got.
Plenty of parking
Dog friendly
Staff were very helpful
Secure garden to let dogs off
Provided a breakfast out of hours
Nothing was to
Much trouble for the staff
Lovely hot water
Carpets in room I prefer hard floors especially in dog rooms
Only one teabag with tea making facilities.
Expensive per dog price at £15 per dog especially when taking multiple dogs.
Breakfast was very good, freshly cooked, plenty of parking available.
The room toilet wasn't the cleanest.
Me and my partner booked a room very last minute here. We were originally camping, but due to the storm, we could not stay. The gentleman on at the time was lovely and very accommodating given our circumstances. The main reception does seem a bit tired, however our room had been freshly decorated and we couldn’t fault it, especially for the price when everything else at the time was at least double. We would definitely recommend this place.
It was cheap. Had free WiFi and free parking.
The bed was like concrete. The room was small with unnecessary furniture taking up space. There were alot if cobwebs.
Not a lot really.
Lots of what seemed like drunk people when arrived, falling all over the place. Room was poor and noise all through the night. Breakfast that we paid 9.99 for was poor and the sausages were microwaved and it was like eating rubber. Really disappointing.
Great location, good price
Dirty
Beautiful building with some stunning features. Great parking right outside.
Comfy bed. Plenty of heating and very large room. Very warm welcome, friendly and great service. Delicious breakfast too.
We liked everything and hope to stay again.
Good location, free parking. Friendly service and breakfast
Very dated and needed redecorating
Location
It smelled and room was not upto standard
Goedkoop en simpel.
Het ontbijt viel wat tegen.
located right next to city centre, bus links frequently
it was disgusting. There was bird feces on the furniture and was generally unhygienic.
Very professional and polite people , just off the motor way . with parking . Loved the breakfast .
Perhaps another slice of toast , with the breakfast , but thats just me .
