Returned because we loved it last time!
Pros:

We stayed here 4 years ago and could hardly wait to come stay again. The rooms are comfy and nostalgic. Pizzas and food were great! Game room was fun! Location was ideal for an evening walk on the beach. We will definitely be back again.

Great hotel experience
Pros:

I love this hotel so much. There are so many small personalized gestures that make it feel more like an AirBnB and less like a hotel. S’mores, fire pits, game room, even coffee available in the laundry room. The grounds are beautiful too. Thanks for your hospitality, we’ll be back again.

Pet friendly, cozy, good value!
Pros:

I personally liked the no contact check in. Just rolled up and got my digital key. It’s a bit of an older place but the cabin I rented, cabin 1, was very cozy and had everything we needed. After making two attempts to get dinner somewhere in town with our dogs, we decided to just get the onsite pizza. It was really good! Decently priced as well. We made s’mores at the fire pit. Very pet friendly!

Cons:

Cabin 1 is right on the highway side, so beware the road noise is there but it didn’t bother me much and they had complimentary ear plugs in the cabin.

Charming and artsy renovation of an older place
Pros:

I stayed for one night at the Anchor Inn while on a trip along the Oregon Coast, my first time staying there. The location is convenient, right along the main highway street through town. It was originally a motor court built in 1942 that's been renovated in a charming way. What was probably the parking area between two rows of guest units that are perpendicular to the street is now a large courtyard with tables and chairs, play areas for kids, and fun, quirky artwork (parking is now right next to one wing of the guest units and at the rear). There's a two-story rear building just behind the two one-story guest room wings that includes an office and small cafe - the Wheelhouse Pub & Pizza. There's also a small game room with board games and old video games, and an amenities room with a washer and dryer, ice, coffee, and extra towels and blankets. And on top of that, there's a nine-hole croquet golf course in the back part of the property that looked like it would be fun. For check-in, you're supposed to get a text message with a downloadable app for your phone to unlock your guest room door - I didn't receive that text, but it was easy to get the manager and she fixed the issue quickly.

My room was on the second floor of the rear building. It was a very pleasant suite with a separate living area that included a sofa and coffee table, chairs, good-sized TV, gas fireplace, and a nook with a mini-fridge with freezer compartment, microwave, coffeemaker, and some dishware and utensils. The bedroom had a king bed and a chair and also had a TV, and there was a small closet. Both the living room and bedroom had large windows and had electric wall heaters but no A/C (no need for A/C when I was there. The small bathroom connected the two rooms, and had a combination tub/shower. There were also complimentary bottles of water, a s'more kit, and earplugs, though my room faced the rear of the property so it was very quiet. The bed was firm and very comfortable for me.

I had dinner at the Wheelhouse - it's not a big place but offers both indoor and outdoor (with heaters) seating. I wasn't really in the mood for pizza but didn't feel like driving somewhere else. I had a caesar salad with chicken which was nice, but the pizza smelled really good and most likely would have been a better choice. There's a limited but good selection of beer at the small bar there and I had a local Hazy IPA, which was quite good. Breakfast is not included, but breakfast sandwiches and burritos are available from a refrigerated case in the lobby, along with other vending options.

I was delighted with the Anchor Inn. I love older places that have been renovated in an artsy and slightly quirky way such as this one. The price was very reasonable, everything seemed clean and pretty well maintained. It seems like it's a family-friendly place though nice for adult travelers too, and overall I had a great experience there. I'd definitely stay at the Anchor Inn again the next time I'm in Lincoln City.

FANTASTIC spot, wish we had been able to stay longer
Pros:

This hotel is something special! Unique rooms, amazing staff and lots of little added perks ( stars that glow on the ceiling, fire pits with s'more kits and a big sandbox, mallet golf course). Very easy access to the beach and having food available on site is great.

Highly recommended nostalgic experience. Quaint comfort.
Pros:

Nostalgic property that promotes a true rustic beach experience. Would be excellent for a group excursion. Family and pet friendly property. A truly unique experience.

Cons:

We had an unexpectedly warm evening in Lincoln city. This property is not air conditioned and only provided one box fan. Another form of air flow would have made our experience perfect.

It was so comforting and the restaurant had the best pizza!
Pros:

It’s so different from other places!

It can get really noisy at night but they do give you ear plugs in your welcome basket. The couch sleepers are NOT comfortable.

Sewing Ladies
Pros:

I loved your resort! We were a group of gals who own sewing machines, and we found our best place! The rooms and cabin that we stayed in were clean and cosy! Beds were divine, truly comfy! The banquet room that we were offered to make into our sewing center worked so well for us. We appreciated, so much, the offer to use this room for our time there. We did make use of the bar for an evening drink and pizza (very good pizza). All the staff was helpful and kind. Thank you so much for making our first sewing retreat so successful! We are already planning our return retreat in the fall.
