Amazing hospitality, superb value for amenities
Pros:

Loved this hotel for so many things. Great breakfast, 24/7 coffee, rooms with so many amenities- dishes, coffee machine, kettle, fridge, ironing board, and even oven!! Wow. Superb service from the very friendly staff. I was especially happy with the service shown by Saikot at reception and Augustine & Ishaq at the restaurant. Will come back here again. Recommend to everyone...

Pros:

The location is great and we love that there is a bedroom and separate lounge/dining area.

Cons:

Unfortunately we could not shower before checkout, as the water was turned off for the routine fire alarm testing and it wouldn't come back on. We were without water all morning.

Sehr schönes, komfortables Aparthotel in perfekter Lage im East. Tolle Lounge, super Personal!
Pros:

Ich habe mich im The Gate London City rundum wohlgefühlt. Das Apartement war für Londoner Verhältnisse außergewöhnlich groß und sehr gut ausgestattet, inklusive toller Sicht durch das bodentiefer Fenster (wir waren im 13. Stock). Besonders schön fand ich die Lounge im 5. Stock, in der man gemütlich frühstücken und den ganzen Tag über kostenlos Tee, Kaffee und Wasser genießen kann. Die Lage im East End ist ideal, Aldgate East ist in wenigen Minuten zu Fuß erreichbar und man ist schnell in der ganzen Stadt unterwegs. Direkt gegenüber gibt es zwei Supermärkte, sodass man sich jederzeit unkompliziert mit allem Nötigen versorgen kann. Das Personal war jederzeit sehr freundlich, aufmerksam und super hilfsbereit, was den Aufenthalt noch angenehmer gemacht hat. Ich würde das Hotel jederzeit wieder buchen und habe im Freundeskreis auch schon eine klare Empfehlung ausgesprochen.

Cons:

Es gibt nur einen kleinen Kritikpunkt: Im Badezimmer unseres Zimmers könnten die Armaturen einmal ausgetauscht bzw. erneuert werden. Sie funktionieren zwar einwandfrei, sehen aber optisch nicht mehr ganz so frisch aus. Das ist allerdings nur ein kleiner Hinweis und hat unseren Aufenthalt überhaupt nicht beeinträchtigt.

Pros:

Room is of a decent size and can fit a few big luggages. Breakfast is good. There’s a super small sink and oven in the room to warm up your food. Self service laundry at the basement level of the hotel. Train station is within walking distance.

Cons:

Deep Cleaning is only provided after one week stay. If not the cleaning is so basic. That is limited to just a change of towels and the throwing of rubbish from the room.

Pros:

The employees that I encountered are always very friendly, as I have stayed at The Gate many times. I like that the room is always spotless as well as the appliances. Eating out while on vacation can be costly so I like that I can prepare a meal or even just warm something up if I so desire.

THE PLACE TO BE
Pros:

Great place , well located close to Aldgate East Station (2 minutes).
Lifestyle room on the top floor (20th) with a great view.
Everything was perfect, The staff is very nice, the room very clean and perfectly well equipped . Breakfast is served in a cosy place. Good breakfast, perfect to start the day. Moreover if you come via Liverpool street station it is perfect as this station in only one station before Aldgate East.

A great stay in the London.
Pros:

I had a great stay at the Gate London City Hotel last month with my girlfriend. The experience was very enjoyable, and the hotel had a welcoming atmosphere.

A special thanks to Shiful and Mohammad Hasan, who were incredibly helpful throughout our stay. They went above and beyond by suggesting some really nice restaurants, which made our trip even better.

I would definitely love to stay at this hotel again in the future and highly recommend it to others.
