I first stayed at The Gate in June 2023 and had a wonderful experience, which is exactly why I decided to return. During that first stay, the rooms were spotless, the staff were genuinely friendly and professional, and the overall level of service exceeded my expectations.
Even during my second stay, despite the issues I encountered, the staff remained polite and did their best to help whenever I raised a concern. I still appreciate the potential of this hotel and know from my previous experience how good a stay here can be.
Unfortunately, my second stay was very different. I had to change rooms because of several issues, and the second room also had maintenance problems, including very low water pressure, unstable internet that frequently disconnected and made it difficult to work, and a broken towel rack. Some problems took days to resolve, while I was repeatedly told that the water pressure and internet issues were due to many guests using them at the same time, which I don't consider a satisfactory explanation for a hotel of this standard.
I was also concerned about hygiene, as the refillable glass water bottles did not appear to be properly cleaned between guests.
Finally, when I tried to discuss my concerns with the manager, he continued typing on his computer and chatting while I was speaking to him rather than giving the conversation his full attention. I found this particularly disappointing and unprofessional when trying to address legitimate concerns about my stay.

Problems with electrics as various things went wrong
The breakfast was good., but nothing spectacular, However what made it worth it was the beautiful space it was in. 100% better then having a sausage roll while out and about! It was a wonderful way to start each day. I would highly recommend adding the breakfast.
Nothing. And that's saying so much. Anything that did not go well (tv didnt work in my suite) the staff went above and beyond to try and accommodate. Everyone I had contact with at this hotel made me feel so welcome. I will definitely stay there again when I return to London.

Ojo viajeros!!!! reservamos urban studio con vistas. Y nos dieron una habitación con vista a una obra en construcción. Fuimos a reclamar y nos dijeron que en Booking está mal publicado que Los Urban estudios no tienen vista porque están en los pisos bajos. Además, el horno estaba todo sucio (miren las foto) la respuesta fue le limpiamos el horno le dije no!!! yo saqué una habitación con vista tuve que discutir, mostrarles la reserva y me dijeron que no me podían cambiar de habitación porque el hotel estaba lleno. Seguí discutiendo hasta que pude hablar con el manager y por arte de magia, apareció una habitación como la que había reservado!!! el mal momento no me lo quitan nadie!! y además estuvimos cuatro noches y jamás nos limpiaron la habitación!!! No volvería
