Alles hat perfekt gepasst - und das Essen war Extraklasse
Pros:

Noch selten habe ich nach einem Hotelaufenthalt gefunden, dass einfach alles perfekt zusammengepasst hat. Hier schon! Der Ort ist von aussen ganz unscheinbar, innen aber sehr stilvoll, allerdings ganz ohne überflüssigen Luxus. Das Personal ist superfreundlich, das Frühstück Extraklasse mit sorgfältig ausgewählten und qualitativ hochstehenden Zutaten, das Zimmer nicht gross, aber ruhig und gemütlich mit guten Matratzen und Kissen. Und: Wer im Baseltor übernachtet, sollte sich das Abendessen nicht entgehen lassen: Wir haben uns eher spontan entschieden, da auch zu essen, und es war einfach himmlisch: Beste Zutaten, kreativ verarbeitet, toll serviert. Und auch unser Golden Retriever hat sich sehr wohl gefühlt hier. Dass das Hotel dann auch noch mitten in der Altstadt und gleich gegenüber der Kathedrale liegt, rundet diesen durchweg beglückenden Hoteleindruck noch ab. Wir kommen wieder!

Zimmer, sehr sauber, gut ausgestattet, schönes Badezimmer
Frühstück, sehr fein, alles frische Produkte und grösstenteils aus der Region
Lage, für uns perfekt, ab Bahnhof gut zu Fuss erreichbar
Personal, sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit

Ein Lift wäre von Vorteil.... Rest perfekt

Leider nie mehr wenn die Zimmer frisch renoviert wurden.

Lage und Freundlichkeit vom Personal

Cons:

In den obersten 2 Zimmern hat es extrem nach frischer Farbe und/oder Lack gestunken. Es wurde mir schlecht und ich hatte extremste Kopfschmerzen. Es war unzumutbar, aber leider hatten wir keine andere Wahl - da wir eine Weiterbildung besuchen mussten. Mit Kindern wäre ich sofort wieder abgereist.
Leider wurden wir auch nicht darauf hingewiesen. Weder bei der Reservation noch beim Check in.
Sehr sehr schade, so kann eine Weiterbildung durch das Hotel leider sehr ekelhaft sein wenn man nicht geschlafen hat und Kopfschmerzen wegen dem Hotelzimmer hat.

Die Lage, das Hotel selber sehr zu empfehlen. Das Personal überaus freundlich und zuvorkommend!

Cons:

Zur Zeit unzumutbar, da extrem starker Farb und Lack Geruch in den Zimmer. War auch keine Info diesbezüglich bei der Buchung, dass die Räumlichkeiten frisch gestrichen worden sind. Auch das Offenlassen der Fenster brachte keine Besserung.
