Attended a 70th birthday party.
Pros:

Great friendly reception.
Every staff member we met was helpful and friendly.
Excellent choice of food and drink.
Good WiFi everywhere.
Large car park.
Well equipped room with hair dryer, iron and plenty of sockets including USB.
Loads of hot water.

Cons:

The router or whatever on the ceiling flashes and was very annoying at night.
No spare toilet roll.

Ultimately disappointing for the reasons stated.
Pros:

The location was fine as were the facilities. The bed was firm but ultimately very comfortable and I slept very well. Check in was quick and efficient and the receptionist was friendly.

Cons:

When I went into the pub the following morning, for breakfast, a member of staff told me to pick any available table and he would be with me shortly, to take my order. The restaurant did not have many people in it other than one table which had 6 or 7 people at it and they were being served their breakfasts. There was one other couple at a table nearby who also received their breakfasts whilst I was sat there. I'd been waiting for 15 minutes for someone to take my order and then I heard a member of the table with the 6 or 7 people at it making racist and bigoted comments about Muslims. Only his wife tried to tell him to watch what he was saying. He was reminded again by his wife when an Indian family sat at a table near them. He replied, 'I'm not bothered about them'. To say I was angry is an understatement. At this point I had been waiting 20 minutes for someone to take my order for breakfast. I decided to leave and told the member of staff that I'd been waiting 20 minutes but couldn't wait any longer as I had to be somewhere else. I should be clear that the behaviour of that other guest was in no way the fault of the Hotel but I'm highlighting it because it spoiled my stay, along with no-one taking my breakfast order.
