Loved my stay at The Merchant Baku
Pros:

Location of the hotel, very near to the old town… a couple of minutes.
Huge size of the room. Decor. Staff were very warm and welcoming. Got an early check in too. About 25-30 mins from the airport in early morning.
Walkable to all the touristy places, promenade etc.

Cons:

Breakfast spread could have been better, especially for vegetarians

Charming hotel with a warm welcome and great location!
Pros:

Great location in the heart of the most charming part of the city. Very friendly helpful staff. Beautifully appointed room with very attractive decor. The restaurant is lovely whether you are a guest of the hotel or not. Breakfast is very nice. Photos from hotel shown on Booking.com are an accurate representation of this lovely hotel.

Pleasant stay, but breakfast could be improved
Pros:

Spacious room, especially the bath room that came with both a bath and a shower. Comfortable beds. Friendly staff at the reception. Great style/decor. Excellent location in the old city of Baku

Cons:

Breakfast was disappointing: we weren’t properly welcomed and the man who seemed to be in charge was rather curt. While clearing our table and taking away some dirty plates they also took our knives and forks, leaving us with no cutlery to continue eating. It took a while to get new cutlery, after getting up and having to ask for it myself. When I asked for fresh orange juice I was told it wasn’t available, although I clearly saw someone drinking it at the table next to us. Lastly, the breakfast area is basically the lobby, which can get rather hot on a sunny day due to the glass roof. All in all, we expected more in terms of breakfast from a high end hotel like this.

Pros:

This hotel is extremely central and has super helpful and friendly staff. It has a great bohemian vibe (and two super cute parrots!) If I return to Baku I will definitely stay again

Would stay in the Merchant if I visit Baku again

Камерная атмосфера в ресторане по вечерам очень понравилась.
Pros:

Понравилось местоположение, внутренний двор-атриум с рестораном. Когда только заходишь в отель с жаркой улицы, попадаешь в свежую прохладу с приятным легким ароматным воздухом! Чистота в номере и во всех пространствах отеля идеальная! Персонал профессиональный, вежливый и свободно говорящий на Английском и Русском языках.

Cons:

Фитнес маленький… но мы компенсировали отсутствие занятий в зале количеством прогулок по городу))

Çok keyif aldik.
Pros:

Çok temiz ve çok rahat bir otel. Calisanlar çok yardim sever ve cok guler yuzlu. Otelde hic bir hata yoktu. Çok keyif aldik. Konum inanilmaz, her seyin ortasında.
