It was small and lovely. The staff was very sweet and helpful. They had a nice garden and pool area and since we brought our dog, it was nice that he could run around on grass and do his business.
The photos are a little deceiving…the hotel is across the street from the beach not on the beach. The views were still lovely, but the road was like a busy highway at times and loud. We slept thru it with the doors shut but it didn’t make sitting on the balcony the best.
Schönes Zimmer, tolle Aussicht von der Dachterrasse. Restaurant top. Sehr nette Bedienung. Cooler kleiner Privatstrand mit guter Strandbar. Tacos 🔝

We had a really amazing time at Albatros. The entire staff were friendly and helpful.
We loved the hotel, the ambience, the pool, the restaurant. The penthouse felt like our apartment, we felt like we lived there. We were extremely comfortable and sad to leave.
Renting a car was very easy, the desk just made a call and one was brought to the hotel. They were always very helpful with arrangements and plans and laundry.
Also the hotel is directly above a pharmacy and a big convenience store which was incredibly helpful.
We will return as soon as possible and get a 3rd floor room again if possible. All in all just a beautiful place and I am so glad I found it.
Two tips:
1. The desk can arrange scooter or car rental, but unless you are very comfortable driving scooters in busy streets, are comfortable driving in Mexico, I would rent a car. The cost of the car against 2 scooters was only about 25% more, so it was the right choice.
2. If you want to snorkel and can afford to, spring for a private/chartered boat. We went on a group tour and while the snorkeling itself was great, it was a very uncomfortable ride on a very crowded boat. And the more peaceful the water and the less people moving it around you, the easier the snorkeling is.
Ok
Location is great, out of the main tourist zone but close enough to walk to town. Staff were friendly and helpful. Snorkeling across the street was amazing!
Room needed more hooks to hang things. Coffee maker was provided, but no coffee or filters, so we couldn’t really make coffee. The “kitchenette” didn’t include a sink, bottle opener, or really any way to prepare food other than reheating leftovers. When we arrived the room smelled strongly of mildew - we needed to keep the bathroom fan running 24/7 to keep the smell away.
Spacious, nice design, very comfortable. Boutique vibe plus nice pool. Good resto for breakfast and dinner on roof, pleasant beachfront bar across the street.
Bit of a hike from town!
So kommt man gut an alle schönen Orte.
