Great hotel on the Great North Road
Pros:

A hotel we have come back to as we have always been impressed with the warmth and help from the staff and the value for money on the edge of a great city. The deluxe rooms have a king size bed - and it really is big - and the walk in showers are powerful with toiletries provided. Breakfast is first class with a range of hot and cold buffet and the option to order other food. Each year we have been served by the delightful Moira who can't do enough for you.

Almost perfect
Pros:

Great value, comfortable stay with lovely staff.

Cons:

A minor point but annoying - the tea tray is great but you have to lift and move it across the room as no plug by the tray.

Pros:

Location, hotel style and the bar menu

Cons:

Room very hot, woke me up at 2am sweating and couldn’t turn heating down.
Bed quite hard as are pillows.

Pros:

The room and bed was comfortable and cosy. The bar proved to be very popular and vibrant; the restaurant was cosy and the food was excellent. More than sufficient parking space.

Pros:

The room was warm, clean and comfortable. The meals we had in the hotel were excellent. For my purpose the location was great and public transport into the city center was great. The staff we met could not have been more friendly and helpful.

Nothing. Everything was excellent.
