We had a great two nights at the Alderley Hotel Blackpool and it was excellent value for money.
Pros:

Good room, lovely breakfast, great staff and excellent location.

Avoid until they clean hotel and achieve some DIY. Then it could be a perfect little bnb

Cons:

Absolutely disgusting and filthy hotel. Soiled bed with no mattress protector and bobbley sheet that (no exaggeration) scratches you. Filthy dusty and debris on floors, broken shower and shower tray fills with water, can only have a very quick shower. Noisy inside the hotel at night and early hrs in the morning. Toilet door doesn't shut properly with no handle on inside to get out. It's so run down I was very disappointed and felt dirty when leaving. Breakfast was vile, very greasy and glasses smelt like stale dishwasher water, juices didn't seem cold so was warm apple juice. I would avoid.

Spot on, thank you
Pros:

Considering I was the only occupant on a freezing November Monday I received a warm welcome, I was offered a choice of rooms and the location was a minute walk to the local tram stop.
My room was well equipped with a good shower, breakfast was first class too.
I will happily return on my next trip to Blackpool, thank you.

The breakfast was ok

Cons:

The hotel as soon as you walk in smells very musty ( like a old musty dirty smell ,, not nice ) , the carpets need ripping up the smell coming from them when walking on them was horrid, the rooms are very dated and not what was expected, during breakfast 2 people were constantly vaping big plumes of smoke which was very off putting while trying to eat ,the room its self was extremely poor , the toilet didn't flush my partner had to fix it, the door didn't fit properly and the bed was horrendous, very thin and evey spring could be felt , no sleep at all , the window just pulled shut and didn't lock, and again smelt old and musty , I definitely will not stay again , very disappointed with the whole experience
