Vi blev mødt med et stort smil. Manageren tog godt imod os sammen med sit personale. Morgenmaden var god og lidt som man kunne forvente. De var venlig og hjælpsomme både med hvalsafari og bestilling af tuk tuk. Udendørs arealet og poolen er i top.

Bardzo dobre usytuowanie hotelu w pobliżu plaży oraz rozlicznych barów i restauracji. Basen hotelowy co jest rzadkością na Sri Lance. Co prawda jest to jeden nieduży basen podzielony na 3 części, a nie 3 baseny jak to jest opisane na Booking.com .
Przyjazna i gotowa do niesienia pomocy obsługa.

We stayed at MRD Hotel for a few nights and overall had a good experience. The location is convenient, about a 5-minute walk to the beach, with several restaurants nearby. We enjoyed dining at Thaya Sea Food Restaurant, which was within walking distance, and there are shops and services close by as well.

The staff at the front desk and throughout the hotel were friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help. Our bags were carried to our room upon arrival, which was appreciated after a long day of travel.

Our room was clean and comfortable, although it was a bit tight for four adults. The beds were comfortable and the room served its purpose well as a base for exploring the area.

Breakfast was included and consisted of fresh fruit, coffee, an omelet sandwich, and bottled water. Everything was fresh and enjoyable. There was some confusion regarding what was included in our booking, as our reservation mentioned all-inclusive but breakfast was the only meal provided. Communication was occasionally challenging, but the staff always tried their best to assist.

The Wi-Fi worked, although we did not receive the access codes until the following day, and there were separate networks for the restaurant and guest rooms. The room network was sometimes difficult to connect to.

A few small details could be improved. Our room initially had only two towels despite four guests being registered, and additional supplies such as toilet paper required follow-up requests. However, these were minor issues and did not significantly affect our stay.

We also found local services to be convenient, including laundry service charged by weight, which was completed efficiently.

Overall, MRD Hotel offers good value in a great location with kind staff and easy access to the beach and nearby restaurants. While there were a few communication and housekeeping details that could be improved, we enjoyed our stay and would consider returning.

Recommend to stay here! Stayed here for five nights to recover from food poisoning i got at another place while backpacking. The staff was REALLY helpful and friendly, and even arranged a visit to the hospital when i got worse. The food you can order is really good and fresh, and you can eat it in your room. Nice pool also, and very good AC in room!

A 2 minutes à pieds de la plage, l’emplacement est idéal.
De nombreux restaurants sont disponibles sur la plage (un peu cher) ou à quelques minutes dans la ville ainsi que plusieurs clubs de plongée, palmes masques et tubas pour l’île peignon island etc.

Good location nice pool good food fresh. Rooms are clean. Comfortable beds clean rooms. Chef nice person. 1 minute to the beach. Beach very clean. I will go to mrd next vacation.

Es gibt hier alles, was man für einen entspannten Urlaub braucht. Wenn man morgens vor dem Zimmer seinen ersten Kaffee trinkt und dem Vogelkonzert lauscht, kann man manchmal auch Affen beobachten, die in den Bäumen übernachtet haben. Es war unser zweites Mal im MRD, wir hatten unsere Enkelkinder (8 und 10) dabei. Die Zimmer sind sehr sauber, das Personal super höflich und freundlich. Man fühlt sich willkommen. Besonders hilfreich war die Unterstützung zur Planung von Ausflügen mit dem hoteleigenen Van. So konnten wir mit den Kindern viel erleben. In den Zeiten zwischen Abenteuern war der große Pool eine wilkommene Abwechslung. Sehr gut ist auch, dass der Strand nur 150m entfernt ist und in der Umgebung viele kleine Lokale und ein kleiner Supermarkt sind. Wir haben uns rundum wohl und sicher gefühlt. Für die Verschönerung wird derzeit einiges getan. Wir wünschen dem Management gutes Gelingen und freuen uns schon auf 2027.

All staffs were very helpful and very kind! The facilities was great!

The hotel was close to the beach. The room was basic but clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful

Good location between the beach and the road. 2 minutes to the beach. The owner and staff are very attentive. The hotel owner helped us with our affairs. He warned us about the holiday when the shops were closed. They cooked what we asked for breakfast. They asked if the room needed cleaning. The attitude towards guests is wonderful. We stayed at this hotel for a few more days.

The swimming was best part of hotel. The staff were very friendly. Brilliant a/c in room.

We zouden 1 nacht hier verblijven. Maar voor aankomst kregen we problemen met onze tuk tuk. Gelukkig het hotel gehaald en bij aankomst heeft de manager gelijk een monteur laten komen. Extra nacht met korting bijgeboekt omdat de tuk tuk even goed moest worden nagekeken. Personeel reed mee naar de garage. Echt top service!! Het hotel heeft heerlijke luxe kamers die echt schoon zijn. Een mooi zwembad en het strand is nog geen 100 meter lopen. We hebben gelijk onze was kunnen laten wassen. Echt een aanrader voor een aantal dagen!
