Nice room but stayed for pool which could not be used.
Pros:

new modern hotel

Cons:

I wanted an indoor pool for kids. It was cold as ice. That should be stated. I paid more for this hotel because of that. I could have stayed at another for almost half price including breakfast.

Poor service
Pros:

Locationand clean. We normally stay here when visiting the Winston Salem area.

Cons:

When we checked in at 12:45am the front desk ladies attitude was not pleasant. She seemed disturbed like we were bothering her. She was not welcoming at all! We reserved a King room
We checked into our king room and the TV was not working. So we had to switch to another room and were told they had no more King rooms available so we had to settle for a Queen room. The hotel made no concessions for our inconvenience.

Great stay...
Pros:

I loved the atmosphere and how nice the staff was.

Cons:

I didn't like how the indoor pool wasn't heated. My kids swam and froze their little butts off and the pool was the main reason we booked the place.

mediocre at best
Pros:

we came specifically for the indoor pool, which was not heated and was actually freezing cold. no one cared when we mentioned it, or apologized that it was not listed as being broken or not heated on the website or when booking (I spoke with an agent before arrival). the parking deck should not have to be paid for, for hotel guests. that's ridiculous. there is also no entrance from the parking lot besides walking in through the front doors, which is kind of ridiculous. it was a very mediocre experience. there is no real restaurant, only a bar on site. wasn't the worst but far from a good experience. we would not return.

no heated pool
not enough towels in the bedrooms/bathrooms
bathroom was not cleaned
$15 parking at lot next to building (where else would you park?!)

My day was good except for the brightness of the room at night.
Pros:

The facilities in room were up-to-date and clean.

Cons:

The light of the thermostat was way too bright. It kept me awake for many hours during the night. I have never stayed in a hotel room with that much light coming from a thermostat. Also, it was reflecting off a mirror next to the bed so I was getting the light from both sides. I only had to get up and find something to cover it.

Great room.
Pros:

The hotel was a pleasant surprise and very comfortable. The breakfast we didn’t get, mainly because the staff appeared to ve in a heated discussion in the kitchen and didn’t know we were there. After over looking the self serve items and found little options , we left. It was also a surprise that parking was $15. The booking write up did indicate a charge.
